Earth's Fighter Era

Chen welcomes Luo Feng into Fire Hammer Squad as its ranged gunner, explains equipment and field habits, and joins the first expedition to ruined city #0201. From elevated firing positions he uses a heavy machine gun to disrupt monster packs while Gao Feng and the close-combat members engage below. His steady coverage gives the inexperienced Luo Feng room to learn team combat, and he accepts Luo Feng's concealed spirit-reader interventions without publicly exposing the secret. (Chapters 37–42)

The expedition turns into a human conflict when Tiger Fang Squad attacks from concealment, crippling Zhang Ke and drawing monsters onto Fire Hammer Squad.
