Wei Tie

Wei Tie is the elder of the Wei twins and one half of the Fire Hammer Squad's celebrated Twin Moon Scimitar pair. A cautious front-line fighter and practical instructor, he initially tests the rookie Luo Feng, then helps turn him into an efficient wilderness combatant.

Biography

Testing and training the rookie

Wei Tie supports Gao Feng's decision to make Luo Feng fight an F-rank monster on his first wilderness trip, reasoning that the rookie has the physical capacity to survive a painful test. After recognizing Luo Feng's Ru-Wei-level movement potential, he volunteers with Wei Qing to teach him. Wei Tie demonstrates how an advanced Warrior can use an angled shield impact to expose an ocelot's throat and finish it with one economical scimitar strike, establishing the squad's emphasis on efficiency over display. Life with the Fire Hammer Squad

As a forward scout, Wei Tie detects threats, evaluates commander-level prey, and fights in near-perfect synchronization with his brother. He survives being smashed through a wall by a twin-tailed ocelot, then obeys Gao Feng's order to treat Zhang Ke's crippling wound. He accepts a reduced profit share once Luo Feng's value becomes clear, continues expeditions into City 003, and joins the squad's reunion with the disabled Zhang Ke. Retirement of the veterans

By the squad's final expedition, Wei Tie jokes that the older fighters are “old men” compared with Luo Feng. He, Wei Qing, and Chen Gu plan to retire as Luo Feng leaves for a larger stage, and the Fire Hammer Squad consequently disbands. Appearance and personality

Wei Tie and Wei Qing are similar-looking twins, each carrying a shield and scimitar; Wei Tie is explicitly the elder. His low voice, cool assessment of Luo Feng, and habit of taking the forward position make him appear stern, but he readily teaches a recruit, tends a wounded teammate, and later jokes comfortably with the squad. Abilities and progression

Wei Tie is an advanced Warrior whose signature method pairs shield control with a moon-shaped scimitar. He creates openings rather than relying on superior speed: an angled collision unbalances an ocelot, and the blade follows from beneath the shield into its throat. With Wei Qing, he can mirror movements closely enough to sever both front-leg joints of a charging lion mastiff before Zhang Ke delivers the kill. (Chapters 43–44)

He also demonstrates fieldcraft as a scout, monster-material collector, and emergency caregiver. Although he withstands a heavy collision that makes him cough blood, the corpus records no promotion beyond advanced Warrior. (Chapters 44, 47–55)
