Elijah

Elijah Sky is Alaric's son, the Vampire representative among the Seven Heroes, and later Ariana's husband. His early pride in being Yrniel's outstanding young Vampire is tempered by defeats against Nux, while his relationship with Ariana leads him to relinquish the Blood Kingdom's succession and become the partner of the Elven Queen. The “Elijah Winkson” named in Chapter 320 is an unrelated merchant, not this character.

Biography

The Vampire Hero accepts a rival

Elijah enters the narrative with the Seven Heroes and attends Melia's marriage ceremony as a representative of Vampire strength. Embarrassed that younger Vampires will not challenge Nux, he asks Alaric for permission to intervene despite Ambrosia's warning that a defeat might damage his confidence. Elijah's extraordinary talent and Ancestral Order recognition have made him proud, and he expects the match to prove that his new brother-in-law can merely endure him. (Chapters 977–982)

The fight forces Elijah to revise that judgment. His blood weapons, transformed speed, sword work, and defensive dome pressure Nux at first, but Nux burns away the battlefield blood and leaves Elijah injured and nearly depleted. Elijah still tries to continue through regeneration until Nux immobilizes him after his mana falls too low to resist. Rather than deny the result, Elijah concedes publicly, calls Nux the strongest Great Sage he has met, and accepts him as worthy of Melia. The Seven Heroes are overwhelmed

When the disguised “Devil” challenges all Seven Heroes, Elijah accepts with the others and attacks with his sword. Nux outmatches their speed, strength, reactions, and spells; a black-purple spike pierces Elijah's chest and stops just short of his heart, giving the group a choice between surrender and his death. The Heroes yield. Elijah survives, but the result confirms on a larger stage that his previous loss was not an accident. (Chapters 1031–1037)

When Lyriana prepares to leave Yrniel, he steadies Ariana and argues that her mother's secrecy is meant to protect her, showing that his later role is as much familial support as martial protection.
