Ambrosia
Ambrosia Bloodheart is a Divine Stage Vampire, sister of Vampire King Alaric, wife of Orpheus, and mother of Melia and Lazarus. Her playful ease conceals the strongest demonstrated charm among Yrniel's ordinary rulers: she can dominate powerful beasts, conceal the use of that control, and teach Nux how to turn racial abilities into deliberate combat tools. Ambrosia's decision to help him capture Star Beasts begins as curiosity and repayment of a Bloodheart favor, then develops into maternal sponsorship. She supports Melia's marriage, trains Nux, shields him from her brother and the Dragons, and treats his rise beyond her as a source of pride rather than a threat.
Biography
The mother watching Melia choose
Ambrosia first observes from concealment while Melia accepts the outcome of her wager with Nux. She and Orpheus have been together for more than five thousand years and can read one another without telepathy, so she recognizes that her husband is deliberately creating privacy around the unusual human. Her initial concern is not that Melia lost a duel, but that joining ExceedoGenesis may pull their emotionally reserved daughter into a family beyond Bloodheart control. Nux's ease around Melia and his wives makes that possibility visible before Melia admits romantic interest. (Chapters 763–770)
When Nux requests help gathering ten thousand high-ranked Star Beasts, Melia brings him to Ambrosia because strength alone cannot create the required conflict. Ambrosia notices that Nux detected her eavesdropping, asks for an honest answer, and agrees to manipulate the beasts after he calls in a favor. She does not act without political cover: Orpheus takes the matter to Alaric because destabilizing beast populations could trigger consequences for the Blood Kingdom. Once authorization is secured, Ambrosia joins Nux's Party and treats the risky operation as an opportunity to test both him and her own powers. (Chapters 779–785)
Her execution makes the hunt almost completely one-sided. Ambrosia identifies leaders within the beast population, overwhelms their minds, and makes them summon subordinates into a fabricated war. Frostfang retains no meaningful resistance once her charm takes hold. Nux's group harvests the resulting conflict while Ambrosia remains outside the visible battle, fulfilling the objective without fighting every beast herself. The success earns Nux the resources he needs and confirms why Melia calls her, rather than the physically stronger Orpheus, the indispensable specialist for controlling minds. (Chapters 785–812)
Accepting a son-in-law and becoming his teacher
Ambrosia greets Melia's later return with affection rather than an audit of cultivation. She immediately assumes the visit concerns marriage and helps plan a ceremony large enough for the Vampire King's favored niece. When Nux asks Orpheus for combat training, Ambrosia volunteers as a second instructor—an exceptional decision because she has taught almost no one beyond Melia's fundamentals. Her motive combines curiosity about Nux's hidden racial forms with the belief that a man joining her family should learn to use them safely. (Chapters 956–962)
The training contract requires Nux to reveal the abilities needed for meaningful instruction. Ambrosia discovers his Human, Incubus, and Vampire forms and focuses on the applications Orpheus does not teach: charm, Blood Control, Blood Spikes, Blood Wave, Blood Bats, telekinetic effects, and the mental state needed to sustain incomplete charm. She expects the program to be moderated, but Nux's regeneration and determination let the pair push him through months of subjective injury and exhaustion. He later calls her his best teacher at that point. The claim is contextual rather than permanent—Vyriana soon exposes flaws outside Ambrosia's focus—but her lessons remain part of his later racial and mental arsenal. (Chapters 958–968 and 1046–1104)
At the Ceremonial Union Clash, Ambrosia balances pride with crowd protection. She understands that Nux is the masked Devil and can recognize his methods when other rulers cannot, yet remains surprised by his age and the full scale of his strength. She encourages Melia's happiness, restrains conflict among the rulers, and joins Orpheus in publicly entrusting their daughter to Nux. Their acceptance does not erase their ability to criticize him; it makes him answerable as family rather than dismissible as a low-born outsider. (Chapters 974–1000 and 1031–1053)
Choosing family over the old Dragon alliance
The escalating conflict with Arcturus tests Ambrosia's loyalties. Dragons and Vampires have been allies for tens of thousands of years, and Alaric has personal ties to Arcturus. Ambrosia nevertheless warns Melia that the Dragon Lord is dangerous while promising to help if the family needs her. When Arcturus threatens Nux during the Human Trial, she walks through a portal and declares that protecting the man her daughter cherishes matters more than accepting another groom chosen by an old ally. (Chapters 1136–1210)
During the invasion of Lust State, Ambrosia becomes the first visible backer behind Nux. She has already removed more than fifty thousand Dragon soldiers through manipulation and stands between him and the Divine attackers. Orpheus and another Bloodheart Divine then join her, making clear that their support is institutional as well as maternal. Ambrosia cannot account for all of Nux's deceptions—his illusions fool even her for a moment—but her arrival prevents the Dragons from treating him as isolated and gives his evacuation plan the force needed to succeed. (Chapters 1233–1249)
The following duel reveals how far Nux has moved beyond the abilities she taught. Ambrosia knows his Devil identity and expects him to have prepared hidden tools, but is still shocked when most of the Divine Dragons surrounding the arena turn out to be under his control. She does not claim the result as an extension of her charm. Nux's System, seals, strategy, and growing powers have become his own, while Ambrosia's role has shifted from instructor to experienced witness and family supporter. (Chapters 1252–1253)
An old power watching the next generation pass her
When Yrniel's cultivation path begins to fail, Ambrosia and Orpheus cannot give Lazarus and his wives an answer despite their strength and experience. Nux returns and rebuilds all four as Complete Saint cultivators in moments. Ambrosia is astonished, but accepts that the child she once taught can now solve a foundational problem beyond her generation. The exchange preserves affection without denying the reversal of expertise. (Chapters 1489 and 1587–1589)
The supplied corpus does not establish that Ambrosia leaves Yrniel, receives a rebuilt foundation herself, forms a named Law, or advances beyond her old incomplete Divine Stage. Later alternate-timeline versions of Ambrosia are not the main-continuity woman. Her own resolution comes when Melia returns to Bloodheart territory after thousands of years. Ambrosia recognizes her at the gate, teases her for remembering where she belongs, and embraces her with tears before meeting Noctis. The free-spirited mother who once feared losing Melia gains a daughter who chose her own universe and still came home. (Chapters 2011 and 2407–2408)
Appearance and personality
Ambrosia is an exceptionally beautiful Vampire woman with long white hair, red eyes, and an elegant, mature figure. Her gaze is repeatedly described as hypnotic, while her habitual smile makes her appear approachable even when she is assessing or manipulating someone. The contrast between her pale coloring and blood-red eyes identifies the Bloodheart and royal Vampire lineage she shares with Alaric. (Chapters 763, 779–783, and 1233)
She is playful, curious, affectionate, socially perceptive, and far more expressive than Orpheus or Melia. Ambrosia teases her brother, husband, children, and son-in-law, prefers interesting risks to ceremonial duties, and can sound frivolous immediately before making a serious political or military choice. Her humor does not imply carelessness: she insists that Alaric stop invading Nux's Mind Space, recognizes threats to Melia, secures royal approval before the beast operation, and appears when the Dragon conflict puts her family at risk. (Chapters 767–785, 956–968, and 1174–1233)
Her maternal attachment is generous rather than purely possessive. Ambrosia worries that ExceedoGenesis may take Melia away, but supports the choice, welcomes Nux, and later celebrates the daughter's return without treating the intervening life as betrayal. The same warmth makes her a demanding teacher: she keeps Nux in the Battle Dimension longer than he expects because she believes he can endure more and grow from it. (Chapters 768–785, 956–968, and 2407)
Abilities and cultivation
Incomplete Divine cultivation and Vampire physiology
Ambrosia is an incomplete Divine Stage cultivator and one of the Blood Kingdom's most dangerous Vampires. Her stage supplies immense speed, pressure, longevity, mental power, and command of racial abilities, but the corpus never names her Law of Self or describes a later breakthrough. She is not identified as a Complete Divine, Transcendent, or user of a Domain. Her latest safe formal stage remains the old Divine foundation she possesses on Yrniel. (Chapters 779–786, 963, 1138, and 1587–1589)
Her general Vampire abilities include blood manipulation, physical enhancement, mental pressure, and exceptional recovery and perception, but the most detailed list appears in lessons she gives Nux. The corpus does not show every technique at Ambrosia's maximum output, and her teaching knowledge should not be mistaken for a scene demonstrating unlimited use. Orpheus is described as stronger in direct combat, while Ambrosia is the superior choice when controlling minds determines the operation. (Chapters 779–786 and 961–968)
Charm and mind domination
Ambrosia is described as the being with the strongest Charm in Yrniel outside unknown higher powers. She can influence through her eyes, voice, presence, and focused mental power, ranging from a nudge that makes Nux agree before recognizing the effect to complete domination that leaves Frostfang's eyes dull and compels him to summon an army. In the beast operation, the controlled targets act on her orders and the broader population interprets the consequences as a natural war. (Chapters 779–786 and 960)
Charm strength depends on the target's mind, the user's mental power, and the degree of control attempted. Nux has unusually high resistance: Ambrosia can charm him, but says concealing the attempt from him is effectively impossible. She teaches him Forced Charm and the incomplete state required for it, a process that consumes enough mental power that most Vampires lack the talent to learn it. The corpus does not give Ambrosia's maximum range, number of simultaneous targets, duration, or an absolute counter, and higher beings such as Vyriana are not established victims. (Chapters 960–968, 1007, and 1162)
Charm can manipulate rather than merely seduce. Ambrosia uses it to provoke conflict among beasts, make a leader issue commands, and obtain cooperation without a conventional duel. Its ethical character depends on application; the hunt demonstrates complete removal of meaningful consent. Her teaching of the technique gives Nux knowledge, not immunity, and the later story does not establish that every mental effect encountered by the family derives from Ambrosia's method. (Chapters 785–812 and 1162)
Blood arts and instruction
Ambrosia teaches Blood Control, Blood Spikes, Blood Wave, Blood Bats, and related uses of Vampire energy. She emphasizes transitioning between abilities under pressure rather than treating each as an isolated spell. Her lessons also cover how racial forms alter reserves, perception, and cooldowns, while Orpheus supplies the punishing physical environment in which Nux must apply them. (Chapters 961–968)
The instruction has limits and a defined focus. Vyriana later finds Nux's swordplay outdated for his stage because Ambrosia and Orpheus concentrated on abilities rather than raw technique. Ambrosia is therefore a demonstrated expert in charm and Vampire application, not the source of every combat discipline Nux possesses. Her inability to solve the later cultivation collapse likewise distinguishes specialized mastery from universal knowledge. (Chapters 1104, 1489, and 1587–1589)
Relationships
- Melia: Ambrosia's daughter and the reason she first studies Nux. She worries about losing Melia to a new clan, then supports the marriage and welcomes her home with Noctis after the long separation.
- Orpheus: Ambrosia's husband of more than five thousand years. They read each other without telepathy and function as complementary leaders: he supplies direct strength and reserve, while she supplies charm, social ease, and expressive affection.
- Nux: Ambrosia moves from curious observer to mother-in-law, teacher, and military backer. She teaches his racial abilities, protects his autonomy from Alaric, and supports him against Arcturus even after he grows beyond her instruction.
- Alaric: Ambrosia's brother and Vampire King. She can confront him with unusual candor, relies on his authorization and deterrence, and opposes him when his curiosity risks damaging Nux's mind.
- Lazarus: Ambrosia's son and Bloodheart heir. She shares his worry over Melia and later accepts Nux's intervention when Lazarus's incomplete cultivation becomes a threat to his future.
- Noctis: Melia and Nux's son and Ambrosia's grandson. His arrival makes the late reunion an expansion of the Bloodheart family rather than only a return to its old form.
Items
Ambrosia uses contracts, Bloodheart communication artifacts, and ordinary training equipment, but the supplied corpus does not establish a separately cataloged signature item as her permanent possession.
