Ariana

Ariana Frostwillow is the daughter and successor of Lyriana, the Elven Hero, and later Queen of the Elven Kingdom. Her early identity rests on rare talent and pride in her magic; defeat forces her to confront the difference between reputation and mastery, while inheriting the kingdom turns that frustration into responsibility.

Biography

A young Hero confronted by a larger standard

Ariana enters as the youngest of the Seven Heroes, a new Great Sage at 507 years old and a near-perfect reflection of her celebrated mother. She had been a Great Sage for only four years, yet her talent was ranked second among the Heroes only to Vedier. Watching Nux exceed what she believed a Complete Great Sage could do unsettles her before they ever fight, because his control contradicts the limits on which her own expertise rests. (Chapter 984)

As leader of Glacieren, Ariana is the first Hero to accept Nux's group challenge. During the battle she interprets his refusal to interrupt her casting as contempt and strengthens her attack in response. Her strongest spell fails to injure him, and a second attempt to slow him contributes little to the group defense. The loss is not merely public embarrassment: it destroys her assumption that inherited talent and Hero status place her near the summit of her generation. (Chapters 1031 and 1033–1037)

Ariana responds by training obsessively. Lyriana warns that fatigue is preventing improvement, but Ariana cannot accept continuing to lose and directs her anger inward rather than at her mother. Ariana continues comparing herself with Nux, following his movements and watching his deathmatch because his accomplishments expose how little influence she believes she has. She and the Vampire Hero Elijah fall in love, and his decision to abandon his expected succession in the Blood Kingdom gives her a partner willing to support her future rule. Nux uses that partnership to argue that Lyriana can finally leave the Elven Kingdom. A queen who lets her mother choose herself

Even after assuming the throne, Ariana worries about Lyriana's unexplained preparations and intended journey beyond Yrniel. She wants to help but ultimately respects her mother's order not to become involved, accepting that protection can require being left uninformed. Her concern now coexists with the responsibility to remain and govern rather than follow. (Chapter 1799)

When Lyriana returns after a vast separation, Ariana runs to embrace her and rejects her apology. She interprets the departure not as abandonment but as the first time her mother chose a life for herself. Ariana welcomes her younger half-sister Frostra, summons Elijah, and introduces their daughter—also named Lyriana—showing that she preserved both the kingdom and a family of her own. (Chapter 2408)

Appearance and personality

Ariana resembles Lyriana so closely that the two can be mistaken for twins if cultivation is concealed. The corpus repeatedly calls her a copy of her mother's beauty but does not independently specify Ariana's hair color, eye color, height, clothing, or later regalia. (Chapters 984 and 2408)

She begins proud, competitive, and intensely self-demanding. Abilities and cultivation

Complete Great Sage cultivation

Ariana was a Complete Great Sage when introduced, having reached the stage at 503 and held it for four years. Complete cultivation lets Mana treat the cultivator favorably and provides a stronger foundation than incomplete progression, but the corpus does not show Ariana's acquisition process, Path, later breakthrough, Law, or Domain. Later narration still identifies her as a Complete cultivator without giving a current stage, so Great Sage is her latest precisely stated realm rather than her necessarily final one. Her Complete status did not grant Nux's Essence or automatic spell superiority. She could recognize that his simultaneous casting exceeded conventional Great Sage control, yet she had no method to reproduce it. Ice magic

Ariana casts through blue magic circles and specializes in ice. Polar Vortex Strike, described as her strongest spell during the Heroes' battle, freezes the ground and forms blizzards before launching a five-meter ice boulder at high speed. It requires a noticeable casting interval and can be strengthened while forming; Nux counters it with a layered Mirror defense. Icebound Infinity lowers the temperature around a target to cool the blood and slow movement. Ariana uses it as a restrained control spell while the other Heroes coordinate their attacks.
