Dia

Dia is the first daughter of Lux and Queen Rhiannon. Born in the Thirteenth Layer of the Abyss, she unknowingly carries the final Pillar of Eternity and becomes the focus of Daniel’s attack before growing up safely among Lux’s extended family.

Biography

The rescue from the Abyss and the final war

Rhiannon names Dia before her birth, and Lux’s discovery that he is her father strengthens his resolve to protect both mother and child. Born while Lux is rescuing Aurora, the infant meets him after his return and peacefully falls asleep holding his finger. Dia has no conscious wartime motive or combat role, but the Pillar of Hope hidden in her soul makes Daniel target her. An Abyssal Lord abducts her, and Daniel extracts the Pillar of Eternity; Rhiannon and Antero protect her while the process finishes, leaving Dia alive and unharmed rather than requiring the resurrection Antero had prepared for. Open Heaven’s Gate

After the war, Dia is openly introduced to Lux’s partners and cared for by the wider family, including Iris and Cai. By nearly three years old she runs to Lux calling him “Papa,” asks to visit her godfather, and comforts him when he cries during Gaap’s restoration. Her ordinary affection is the consequence of the earlier struggle: the child once treated as a vessel and hostage now grows up free of the extracted Pillar, connected to both her Abyssal home and Lux’s peaceful household. Appearance and personality

As a newborn, Dia is described as an adorable baby with beautiful golden eyes and a faint, responsive smile. By the final chapter she is a nearly three-year-old girl active enough to run toward her father and speak in short sentences; no hair color or more detailed heritage traits are specified. Her observed personality is affectionate, curious, and empathetic: she holds Lux’s finger, misses him during absences, enjoys visiting her godfather, and worries when she sees her father in tears. Latent abilities

Former vessel of the Pillar of Hope

Dia’s soul naturally houses the last Pillar of Eternity, the Pillar of Hope represented by a Golden Candle. This is a passive condition, not a technique she activates or controls; as an infant she sleeps through most of its extraction. Daniel requires roughly two hours to remove it, and the process leaves her aura weak but stable before she recovers unharmed. Once extracted, the Pillar no longer belongs to Dia, and the corpus gives her no combat rank or later power derived from it. (Chapters 1192–1194)
