Zhou Huo

Zhou Huo is the Northwest Sage Emperor, eldest son of the Thunder Punishment Exalted Celestial, and father of Zhou Xian. He leads Thunder Punishment City as an imperial politician and a Godking able to coordinate the Origin Energies of other Sage Emperors. His long support of Zhou Xian's suit for Jiang Li binds clan prestige to the groom search; once Qin Yu defeats that plan, Zhou Huo converts a failed marriage alliance into a campaign to destroy him.

Biography

Securing Zhou Xian's marriage

Zhou Huo first appears receiving Ou Yezi's report that Qin Yu has surpassed him in artifact crafting. He immediately understands that a new Craftsman God threatens Zhou Xian's position in Jiang Li's groom search. Rather than relying on his son's merits alone, he organizes resources around the competition: he promises to find a way to secure the second selection round, maintains a space accelerated five thousand times for two grandmaster craftsmen, and offers Zhou Xian his own Quaking Thunder Roar if their work fails to produce a sufficient betrothal gift. (Chapters 567–600)

His decisive maneuver is political. He offers Jiang Fan the Thunder Punishment Exalted Celestial's single permitted intervention during the next struggle for Exalted Celestial status, explicitly trading his father's future action for Jiang Fan's selection of Zhou Xian. Zhou Huo argues that his clan needs no new Exalted Celestial because it already enjoys his father's protection, while Jiang Fan values the intervention above Qin Yu's first-rate Grandmist Spiritual Treasure. When Jiang Fan announces Zhou Xian as the groom, Zhou Huo publicly defends the concealed bargain as impartial and tries to silence Qin Yu's challenge. (Chapters 601–604)

Campaign against Qin Yu

The bargain achieves a nominal victory but immediately loses its intended object: Qin Yu removes Jiang Li from the palace despite spatial confinement, and Zhou Huo's attempt to stop him fails against Qin Yu's clone and unfamiliar spatial power. Treating the episode as an intolerable insult to Thunder Punishment City, Zhou Huo helps pursue Qin Yu and later assembles six Sage Emperors for a coordinated assault. He directs their formation, assigning Light and Darkness as its main force and Thunder Origin Energy as its control, but Qin Yu collapses their frozen space and escapes the Single Aura Six Elements attack. When four of the allied Sage Emperors withdraw, Zhou Huo refuses to abandon the feud. He presses Jiang Fan to remain with him and proposes using the future chaos on the Exalted Celestial Mountain to trap Qin Yu. His persistence is driven less by a practical route to victory than by the belief that Qin Yu's independence makes the clan lose face. After his father returns, Zhou Huo accepts the promise of Exalted Celestial intervention as final insurance and becomes more confident that the clan can continue attacking without bearing the ultimate risk itself. (Chapters 621–622)

Assault on Fog City and collapse of the clan

Zhou Huo later decides that Qin Yu's growing power requires immediate action. He takes Zhou Tong, Zhou Wulian, and Zhou Ran against Fog City after notifying their father. Inside Yi Feng's Vast Territory, Zhou Huo uses the Thunder Origin Spiritual Pearl to tear through the trapping space and orders the others to delay Qin Yu. Even after the attackers escape that enclosure, they cannot defeat the four Godkings defending the city. Zhou Huo then plans to retreat and leave the problem to his father, illustrating how thoroughly his strategy has come to depend on ancestral rescue. (Chapters 631–634)

Qin Yu's Spatial Freezing prevents that retreat. Zhou Huo calls mentally for his father and expects a distant Exalted Celestial attack to erase Fog City, but Qin Yu's New Cosmos spatial control continues functioning inside the frozen region. The resulting intervention destroys the city without freeing the Zhou party. Qin Yu kills Zhou Tong, Zhou Wulian dies by self-detonation, and Zhou Huo saves Zhou Ran only after the Origin Sin Sword finally cuts through the restraint. Their supposedly decisive assault therefore ends with two clan Godkings dead and Qin Yu still beyond their control. (Chapters 635–636)

Exalted Celestial Mountain and death

After Zhou Ran is also killed, Zhou Huo approaches his father in grief and asks him to obtain justice. The response is not immediate rescue: the Exalted Celestial Mountain's descent restricts the elder Zhou, so Zhou Huo is told to endure until a new Exalted Celestial is chosen. Zhou Huo later joins the Living World Seal contests and, when Zhou Xian becomes a Godking, accompanies him to the final contest for the All People Seal. Both assume that the promised Exalted Celestial intervention makes Jiang Fan's success certain. (Chapters 637–666)

The plan appears to succeed when the Thunder Punishment Exalted Celestial immobilizes the competing Godkings and hands the seal toward Jiang Fan. Qin Yu enters through the New Cosmos, stops time with power the Exalted Celestial cannot immediately cancel, and seizes the seal. Zhou Huo is the first target of Qin Yu's spear. Unable to move and still calling for his father, he is struck through the head; the attack shatters his True Spirit and destroys his body. Zhou Xian inherits the Thunder Origin Spiritual Pearl and the Northwest Sage Emperor title immediately afterward. (Chapters 666–667)

Appearance and personality

Zhou Huo is introduced in a purple gown, relaxed in his palace and courteous enough to treat the craftsman Ou Yezi as a friend rather than a subordinate. That civility gives way quickly when status is challenged. He is imperial, calculating, and attentive to valuable talent, but he is also fiercely clan-centered: he spends immense resources on Zhou Xian, bargains with Jiang Fan behind the public groom search, and interprets Qin Yu's refusal to submit as an injury to Thunder Punishment City's dignity. (Chapters 567–604)

His persistence hardens into vindictiveness. He continues seeking a way to kill Qin Yu after neutral allies judge the task impossible, and he repeatedly treats his father's power as the answer to failed tactics. Yet he is not heedlessly brave in direct combat. He teleports away rather than engage Qin Yu's clone, prioritizes breaking traps, and retreats once survival becomes possible. His final dependence is emotional as well as strategic: confronted by Qin Yu's Time Stop, his last appeal is for his father to save him. (Chapters 621–667)

Abilities and cultivation

Sage Emperor and Thunder Origin power

As Northwest Sage Emperor, Zhou Huo is a Godking with complete command of the Divine Realm's spatial laws and substantial temporal-law skill. He can teleport, freeze space with other Sage Emperors, create and maintain a space with five-thousand-fold time acceleration, and coordinate multi-Godking combat through Divine Awareness. His time acceleration is explicitly demanding for him and inferior to the Asura Godking's effortless ten-thousand-fold space, setting a demonstrated limit on his temporal mastery. The Thunder Origin Spiritual Pearl is the Zhou clan's first-rate Clan Protection Spiritual Treasure and the source of his role in combined Origin Energy attacks. Zhou Huo uses Thunder Origin Energy to control the Six Great Sage Emperors' formation and launch Single Aura Six Elements, and later uses the pearl to break through layers of the spatial treasure Vast Territory. His ordinary signature weapon is Quaking Thunder Roar, a second-rate Grandmist Spiritual Treasure powerful enough that he offers it as Zhou Xian's fallback groom-search gift. Demonstrated limits

Zhou Huo's cultivation remains within the Divine Realm's laws. Qin Yu can use New Cosmos spatial power after Zhou Huo and five peers freeze the local space, collapse their formation's battlefield, and later impose spatial restraint the Thunder Origin Spiritual Pearl cannot immediately overcome. Zhou Huo's Clan Protection Spiritual Treasure makes him difficult to kill in an ordinary Godking fight, but it neither reveals the source of Qin Yu's abilities nor protects him from New Cosmos Time Stop combined with the Divine Spear Waning Snow. Relationships

• Zhou Xian: His son and chosen heir. Zhou Huo devotes craftsmen, treasures, political favors, and ultimately the clan's promised Exalted Celestial intervention to advancing him.
• Thunder Punishment Exalted Celestial: His father and the ultimate guarantor behind Thunder Punishment City. Zhou Huo increasingly substitutes expected ancestral intervention for a workable plan against Qin Yu.
• Qin Yu: His principal enemy. Their conflict grows from rivalry in Jiang Li's groom search into an existential struggle for Thunder Punishment City.
• Jiang Fan: His political ally in the groom search and Exalted Celestial Mountain struggle. Their alliance is purchased with the promise that Zhou Huo's father will act once for Jiang Fan.
• Jiang Li: The intended bride in Zhou Huo's plan for Zhou Xian. Her departure with Qin Yu turns the clan's formal victory into public failure.
• Zhou Tong and Zhou Wulian: His younger brothers and fellow Godkings in the assault on Fog City. Their deaths expose the limits of the protection on which he relied.
