Tong San

Tong San is a lion-man adventurer who becomes a lifelong follower of Mo Yang Yu and one of the elders of the Dong Bo family. After Mo Yang Yu and Dong Bo Lie are imprisoned, he and Zong Ling preserve Snowrock Castle and help raise Dong Bo Xue Ying and Dong Bo Qing Shi. His cultivation rises from Heaven Rank knight to Deity through Xue Ying's support, but his greatest importance is familial: he protects the brothers before Xue Ying has power and later becomes one of the loved ones Xue Ying refuses to forget after death. Biography

From slavery to Mo Yang Yu's family

Tong San is born in a remote lion-man tribe. A powerful caravan attacks the settlement, kills those who resist, registers the survivors as rebels, and sells them into slavery. The captives are stripped of their original names and numbered; “Tong San” is the slave name he retains. At thirteen, Mo Yang Yu chooses him as her servant and repeatedly brings him away from the oppressive Mo Yang Clan environment. Her kindness wins a loyalty directed toward her personally rather than toward the clan that enslaved him. (Chapters 1 and 29)

When the Mo Yang Clan tries to marry the twenty-four-year-old Mo Yang Yu to a man more than a century old, she flees. Tong San accompanies her through years of adventuring with Dong Bo Lie and Zong Ling. Repeated life-and-death experiences turn the group into a family, although Tong San continues to call Mo Yang Yu “Master.” By the time Xue Ying is eight, Dong Bo Lie calls him an old friend, the children address him as uncle, and he shares the family's meals, secrets, and dangers. (Chapters 1 and 29)

Tong San is present when the adventurers obtain the family's Transcendent spear manual and knows about Mo Yang Yu's valuable storage pendant. His rough temper makes him less suited than Zong Ling to administer the territory, but he is trusted absolutely as a guardian. When the Mo Yang Clan comes to arrest Xue Ying's parents, Tong San rides to fetch Zong Ling, grieves when he learns that only a Transcendent could overturn the warrant, and accepts Mo Yang Yu's command to remain with the children. (Chapters 2–4)

Raising Xue Ying and Qing Shi

After the arrest, Tong San and Zong Ling keep Snowrock Castle functioning while Xue Ying assumes responsibility for the frightened two-year-old Qing Shi. Tong San watches the brothers with heartbreak, helps arrange their daytime care, and explains the strength Xue Ying would need to earn a Black Iron Order. He cannot provide a shortcut to rescuing the parents, but he preserves the home, household forces, and family secrets that give Xue Ying time to train. (Chapters 3–4)

His guardianship is blunt and practical. He worries when Xue Ying trains past exhaustion, argues that Eternal Wind Academy offers the safest path to strength, and initially struggles to understand why the boy rejects admission. Once Xue Ying explains that leaving would separate him from Qing Shi and constrain his route to Transcendence, Tong San recognizes Mo Yang Yu's reasoning and does not force the issue. When Xue Ying's Primordial Bloodline awakens, Tong San first scolds him for apparently wasting thousands of kilograms of meat, then witnesses his impossible strength and brings the discovery to Zong Ling. (Chapters 6–13)

Tong San also questions risks that the determined Xue Ying is inclined to accept. He condemns the price demanded by Qing Shi's prospective magic teacher, warns that expeditions into the Mountain Range of Desolation can encounter beasts far stronger than their intended prey, and advises Xue Ying to heed Zong Ling's judgment. He celebrates when the Silver Moon Wolf King hunt succeeds and later supports Xue Ying's Bronze Order missions while continuing to worry about their consequences. After Xue Ying kills a Legend ranker, Tong San receives refined armor and boots, yet the gift does not change his role: he remains the family elder who watches Qing Shi and protects the household. Xiang Pang Yun and the years of waiting

When Xiang Pang Yun attacks Snowrock Castle, Tong San helps keep Qing Shi out of a battle far beyond their level. Xue Ying must shield the family from the assassin's projectile, and Great Mage Bai Yuan Zhi evacuates them on the Black-Moon Centipede so they cannot be used as hostages. Tong San and Zong Ling restrain Qing Shi as Xue Ying kills Xiang Pang Yun and falls into Black-Wind Abyss. Both grieve as though their own child has died, but Tong San insists that Xue Ying's exceptional talent gives him a chance to return. (Chapters 64–72)

For six years, the two uncles maintain the household and support Qing Shi. When Xue Ying finally returns, Tong San's broad grin and stunned reaction to his Transcendence reveal how completely hope has survived. Xue Ying continues to treat him as family, setting aside Stone of Oceanic World spiritual liquid and cultivation resources for both uncles. Tong San then joins the reunion with the rescued Dong Bo Lie and Mo Yang Yu; seeing his white-haired master after two decades, he weeps and embraces the returned couple. (Chapters 84–91)

Tong San does not try to direct matters beyond his experience. When Xue Ying chooses among Transcendent organizations, he agrees that the decision must belong to Xue Ying. Six years after receiving spiritual liquid, he has advanced from Heaven Rank to at least Meteor Rank. During the demon crisis, Xue Ying includes him among the few relatives allowed to relocate to the Infernal World, and Tong San uses the available places for his unnamed wife and child. (Chapters 96–99, 133, and 161–166)

Death, a second life, and the lion-man race

Tong San dies during the long span of Xue Ying's higher cultivation. When Xue Ying examines the River of Time, he sees Uncle Tong among the dead and promises to reincarnate him after transcending. Xue Ying later fulfills that promise, and Tong San advances to Deity under the support available to the family. His restored life lasts for more than one hundred million years. (Chapters 589 and 775–776)

That second life has consequences beyond the household. Tong San's descendants expand until the lion-man race occupies several planets in the Deity World, and he jokes that being restored allowed him to create an entire race. Nevertheless, Deity longevity remains finite. Once he, Zong Ling, Xue Ying's parents, and Qing Shi can no longer suppress the collapse of their souls, they gather for a final meal at Monarch Dong Bo Residence. Tong San recalls Snowrock Castle, drinks happily with Xue Ying, and chooses to leave alongside the family. His body and Deity energy dissipate completely. (Chapters 775–776)

Much later, Xue Ying becomes master of his Origin World and gains control over every non-Chaotic-Origin life that has appeared in its history. He can retrieve Tong San's soul from the era of his death, and the final chapter names Uncle Tong among the loved ones Xue Ying intends to reincarnate. The intention is explicit, but Tong San is not shown restored again before the ending. (Chapters 1384 and 1388)

Appearance and personality

Tong San is a muscular lion-man more than two meters tall, with a lion's head on a human-shaped body, arms thicker than a human's thighs, and messy blond hair. He carries a weapon box during his early years and is imposing enough to frighten the toddler Qing Shi. His later Deity appearance retains the lion head and powerful build. (Chapters 1, 3–4, and 776)

He is rough-tempered, plainspoken, and emotionally open. Tong San scolds waste, calls an expensive teacher black-hearted, responds to danger with blunt warnings, and shows grief or delight without embarrassment. His practical judgment comes from adventuring rather than scholarship: he understands bandits, magical-beast territory, crossbow defenses, and when a fight is too dangerous to approach. (Chapters 7–16, 25–26, and 64–72)

Loyalty is his defining trait. Mo Yang Yu's humane treatment transforms a forced servant into a willing follower, and years of danger turn that loyalty into family love. He regards Xue Ying and Qing Shi as his own nephews, while Xue Ying equips him, protects his wife and child, extends his life, and repeatedly seeks to reverse his death. Abilities and cultivation

Lion-man physique and Heaven Rank foundation

Tong San begins as a Heaven Rank knight. His lion-man body gives him a massive, muscular frame suitable for close combat and years of adventuring, but he has no named bloodline awakening or exclusive racial technique. Xue Ying initially treats surpassing Tong San and Zong Ling as a benchmark for earning the Dragon Mountain Manor's Black Iron Order. (Chapters 1 and 4)

His combat knowledge is mostly practical. He recognizes the risks posed by Meteor- and Silver Moon-rank enemies, understands the value of Star Breaking crossbows, and knows that neither he nor Zong Ling can defeat a Silver Moon Wolf King. A flute lets him summon roughly one hundred prepared soldiers, but that is a signaling tool and household authority rather than a cultivation technique. (Chapters 1, 7, 16, and 26)

Equipment and spiritual-liquid assistance

Xue Ying gives Tong San refined armor, boots, and other protective gear after acquiring Xiang Pang Yun's wealth. These items improve Tong San's protection but do not close the gap to Legend-rank combatants; during Xiang Pang Yun's attack, evacuation and Xue Ying's World Energy remain necessary. The equipment is therefore external support, not formal advancement. (Chapters 52 and 64–66)

Spiritual liquid from the Stone of Oceanic World nourishes Tong San's body, Qi sea, and spirit and extends his useful cultivation span. Six years after receiving it, he has reached at least Meteor Rank. No named breakthrough technique or representative Meteor-rank battle is shown, so the advancement is best understood as cultivation enabled by improved resources rather than a newly documented combat style. (Chapters 89, 97, and 133)

Reincarnation and Deity advancement

Xue Ying's later power and resources allow Tong San to be reincarnated and guided to the Deity realm. The reincarnation is performed for him and does not belong to Tong San's abilities; likewise, the treasures and instruction that help him become a Deity are external advantages. His own achievement is surviving the cultivation to formal Deity status despite limited original talent. (Chapters 589 and 775–776)

His Deity realm grants a lifespan exceeding one hundred million years, but no Deity grade, Dao, Deity Heart, weapon, or signature attack is identified. When that lifespan ends, his Deity energy and soul collapse beyond his ability to stabilize them. Xue Ying's later capacity to retrieve him from history belongs to Xue Ying, not to Tong San. • Dong Bo Xue Ying: Tong San helps raise Xue Ying, protects his home and brother, worries through his battles, and welcomes him after Black-Wind Abyss. Xue Ying regards him as an uncle, gives him cultivation resources, restores him once from death, and ends the story intending to restore him again. (Chapters 3–91, 133–220, 589, 775–776, and 1384–1388)
• Mo Yang Yu: Mo Yang Yu frees Tong San from the worst conditions of slavery and becomes the person he chooses to follow. He accompanies her flight, guards her children during imprisonment, weeps at their reunion, and shares her final family meal. (Chapters 1–4, 29, 91, and 776)
• Zong Ling: Zong Ling is Tong San's fellow adventurer, co-guardian, and closest partner in preserving Snowrock Castle. Zong Ling supplies calmer administration while Tong San provides blunt practical support; they raise the brothers together and later leave life during the same farewell. • Dong Bo Qing Shi: Qing Shi initially fears Tong San's lion-man appearance, but Tong San helps care for him, restrains him from fatal battles, and sustains hope after Xue Ying falls into the abyss. • Weapon box and flute: Tong San carries an unspecified weapon box as an adventurer and uses a flute to summon Snow Eagle Territory soldiers. Neither receives a personal name or extraordinary combat function. (Chapter 1)
