Ilayda Van
Ilayda Van is a Turkish ability user and one of Revival's principal human healers. Although she has no offensive ability and initially needs a partner to advance through the dungeon, her improving recovery power and willingness to enter dangerous operations make her an important safeguard for the guild's front-line fighters. (Chapters 205, 207–208, 224, 246, 261, 264, and 341–343)
Biography
Joining Revival
Ilayda is a twenty-six-year-old university graduate who has recently reached SS rank when Revival recruits her. She enters the guild with the Turkish government's agreement because she wants to help protect the world, then becomes a First Dungeon explorer through Ina's appointment. Her ability is limited to healing, so she cannot climb alone and is paired with Laz Michel. Ilayda soon leaves Turkey for the guild mansion and commits herself to Revival's work and dungeon training. (Chapters 205 and 207–208)
Guardians and World Enemies
Ilayda's desire to help sometimes exceeds her ability to survive. She volunteers to remain for the battle against the Lava King even though she cannot withstand its aftermath and says that she will not complain if she dies. Palludia Gren Ehuir persuades her to withdraw until she is stronger, while Michel describes her as so philanthropic that she neglects her own safety. Ilayda subsequently joins event-dungeon and regional operations, questions the guild's accelerated timetable when she sees the danger involved, and accepts the plan after Kang Shin explains it. (Chapters 224, 244–246, 255, and 285)
Her healing proves most valuable when used with other resources rather than as a solitary miracle. Working with Palludia and ordinary Elixirs, Ilayda restores the lost limbs of two Revival members. The limits of that achievement are equally clear: even the gathered healers of Earth cannot restore Ciara Kenex's sight and voice. During the final monster wave, Ilayda and Palludia keep Revival's fighters alive, but Ilayda remains with the forces outside rather than entering the Demon Lord's dungeon. (Chapters 261, 264, and 341–343)
Appearance and personality
Ilayda is a beautiful young woman with an innocent-looking face, clear eyes, and a good sense of style. She is shorter than Hwaya Eleni Mastiford, and the supplied corpus presents her appearance as more understated than Hwaya's. She speaks in a clear voice and meets Shin with a direct gaze when explaining why she wants to join Revival. (Chapters 205 and 207)
She is earnest, compassionate, and unusually willing to place herself in danger for strangers. Michel regards that self-sacrifice as a lack of care for her own life, and her attempt to remain for the Lava King battle supports his concern. Ilayda is not simply reckless, however: she listens when Palludia explains the gap in their power, raises a reasoned objection to Revival's later schedule, and changes her mind when she understands the plan. (Chapters 207, 224, and 285)
Powers and abilities
Healing
Ilayda possesses an SS-rank healing ability that is still developing when she enters Revival. She can treat serious battlefield injuries and, alongside Palludia and Elixirs, help regenerate limbs that would otherwise remain lost. By the final wave, the two healers are able to prevent deaths among Revival's deployed members. The result depends on cooperation, resources, and access to the injured rather than Ilayda reversing every form of harm by herself. (Chapters 205, 261, and 341)
Limits and dungeon role
Ilayda's power is restorative rather than offensive, leaving her unable to climb the First Dungeon safely without Michel or another combat partner. She also lacks the durability to remain near the Lava King, and her healing cannot cure every supernatural injury: it fails, along with the efforts of Earth's other healers, to restore Ciara's destroyed senses. Her practical strength is therefore in protected party support, where she can keep stronger combatants functioning without being exposed as a front-line fighter. (Chapters 207, 224, and 264)
Relationships
- Laz Michel: Michel becomes Ilayda's dungeon partner because her healing ability cannot defeat monsters by itself. He values her concern for others but warns Shin that she is too ready to sacrifice her own life. (Chapters 207 and 224)
- Palludia Gren Ehuir: Palludia talks Ilayda out of staying for a battle she cannot survive, later works beside her to restore lost limbs, and shares responsibility for keeping Revival alive during the final wave. (Chapters 224, 261, and 341)
- Kang Shin: Shin recruits Ilayda into Revival and relies on her as a guild healer. She supports his operations but is willing to question a dangerous change in schedule until he gives the group a fuller explanation. (Chapters 205, 207, and 285)
- Ina: Ina uses her appointment authority to make Ilayda a First Dungeon explorer, giving the healer access to the dungeon's growth system despite her lack of an offensive ability. (Chapter 207)
Items
Ilayda does not possess a distinct named personal artifact in the supplied corpus. She uses ordinary Elixirs together with Palludia while restoring two guild members' limbs, but the recovery is presented as a collaborative treatment rather than the unique power of an item owned by Ilayda. (Chapter 261)
