Ciara Kenex

Ciara Kenex is an American S+ rank ability user, the Kenex clan's prophetic “Saintess,” and the inborn bearer of Evil Eyes tied to Earth's history and ability system. She identifies Kang Shin as Earth's Hero, devotes her life to making him an absolute ruler, and eventually absorbs Sherafina in an attempt to concentrate every world's power into him. Biography

Field Dungeons and Revival

Ciara first reaches Shin through a letter sent from America, identifying herself as an S+ rank Awakened whose rating comes from a special noncombat ability. She knows his name and Hero status despite lacking a dungeon connection, then arranges a meeting at Antelope Canyon. At twelve, she is blind from birth and communicates through telepathy because she cannot speak. Her frail appearance contrasts with the Kenex family's resources, a guarded compound, and an anti-recognition barrier, all signs that she is already treated as both a valuable oracle and a protected institutional figure. Ciara says her power awakened three years earlier, before the Two Moon incident, through a vision of herself guiding a future resistance beside Shin. Repeated dreams then expose her to abilities and conflicts from many worlds, allowing her to match Earth's predetermined recipients with compatible powers. She interprets this authority as proof that she and the Hero were chosen together. Her proposed organization would place every ability user under Shin while making other people expendable shields for the irreplaceable “World's Core.” Shin rejects both the hierarchy and her assumption that his role gives her the right to decide his life. Rejection does not stop Ciara from advancing the future she expects. She has the Flame Drake battle recorded and released, turning the masked Thunder Knight into the internationally celebrated Dragon Knight and establishing Shin as the presumed strongest ability user. Her prediction of a mass Event Dungeon outbreak also proves accurate, compelling Revival to act on a danger she foresaw even while opposing her sacrificial methods. By the end of the phase, Ciara has failed to recruit Shin directly but has increased the public pressure, fame, and strategic necessity pushing him toward world leadership. (Chapters 136–143)

World Crises and Heroic Growth

Ciara continues serving as an oracle for American responses, identifying which gates can be cleared safely and which will release giant monsters. Her help lets Guardian, Freedom Wing, and independent rankers coordinate despite her then-limited prediction radius, and Shin acknowledges that she is acting for her country as well as for him. When she meets Revival outside a Manhattan gate, however, she still imagines a unified organization, Shin's rule over humanity, and herself at his side. His growing influence validates her forecast while his volunteer-based guild remains a direct rebuttal to the coercive structure she wants. (Chapters 143–154 and 213)

Her less visible intervention is equally consequential. When the Heroes of Shadow and Joshua Brightman's organization turn international media against Revival, Ciara's network suppresses much of the campaign, helping Shin operate in America without political isolation. Ability fragments extracted from defeated users return toward her if left unassigned, confirming that she remains connected to Earth's distributed powers. Yet the discovery that Sophie Brightman is better suited to Joshua's ability than Joshua was raises an unresolved question about why Ciara's original allocations sometimes favored politically useful recipients over the most compatible one. Guardians and World Enemies

Sherafina eventually tells Shin that he must “embrace” Ciara, and he contacts the girl despite his distrust. He orders her to leave the Kenex clan, dissolve the organization being built around him, and join Revival under supervision; rather than impose a Soul Contract, he decides that an ally should be controlled through oversight and accountable choices. A later revelation changes the meaning of this reconciliation: Sherafina had met Shin directly and planted a mental suggestion that pushed him both toward recruiting Ciara and toward killing the demon Lespina, whose impurity-rejecting power threatened the plan. Shin uses an Enigma-enhanced Elixir to restore Ciara's sight and voice, discovering that her sealed senses were her body's defense against innate Evil Eyes it lacked the mana to sustain. The newly opened eyes have black irises marked by white crosses and make her foresight vastly stronger, but the cure also creates an immediate danger: when the Elixir's support fades, uncontrolled mana could again overwhelm her. Hwaya Eleni Mastiford therefore accepts Ciara as a disciple, disentangles her mana, and begins teaching her to use power deliberately rather than letting it leak through her body. (Chapters 263–268)

Within Revival, Ciara remains socially volatile but becomes operationally valuable. Hwaya supervises her, other members remain wary of her earlier conduct, and Shin tries to make her act for herself instead of treating devotion as a complete morality. Her open-eyed foresight identifies two of the Five Kings and warns that Shin must preserve Shiva's Eye for the Demon Lord. The forecast is incomplete—she does not see every king or every danger—but it changes his resource decisions and demonstrates that her visions are reliable strategic evidence rather than absolute outcomes. Final Wave and the Dungeon's End

Ciara learns the Peruta Circuit with exceptional speed and reaches a reported skill level of four while Shin and Hwaya train her mana. Her developed sight can reach years into the future, locate threats tied to Earth, and distinguish that the danger in Greenland is greater than another ordinary world enemy. She then works with Revival's analysts to predict the next dungeon wave, pushing herself until she faints. Her warning establishes that demons from Luka will arrive through land transmittance and gives an estimated two-month completion window, allowing evacuations and deployments that would otherwise have begun blind. Those preparations are later exposed as selective. After absorbing Sherafina, Ciara admits that she knew the land transmittance would kill billions and chose not to prevent it because mass loss would make survivors worship Shin as a god. She used the Kenex clan, media control, and her knowledge of Earth's future to cut off dissent and amplify faith in him, never truly abandoning the organization he ordered dissolved. The church that survives the final wave is therefore not an accidental public response but a legacy of her deliberate effort to turn disaster into political and religious submission. Ciara enters the dungeon despite Shin's prohibition after Sherafina has begun gathering Heroes' world powers. Because her authority to distribute abilities is of a higher order than Sherafina's ability to move worlds' powers, Ciara consumes the Dungeon Lord rather than being consumed. She takes Sherafina's mana, memories, and control, then reveals that she regards Sherafina as an intruder in a much older plan: Earth and other worlds are to be connected, their powers transferred into Shin, and every competing life subordinated to his apotheosis. Her affection remains sincere in her own terms, but it denies the wishes that define the person she claims to love. (Chapters 347–350)

Shin discovers that Ciara's Earth-bound Evil Eyes cannot read the dungeon or events concealed in another world. He exploits that blind spot by summoning Lespina, whose authority rejects Ciara's impure borrowed power and separates her from Sherafina's mana, Earth power, and elevated league. Reduced to her original body, Ciara still refuses to abandon the plan and appeals to the unnamed power that told her about Shin from birth. He kills and incinerates her in Chapter 351. Her death ends her direct control, but the church and the reverence she engineered remain too deeply rooted for him to remove without attacking survivors. (Chapters 350–352)

Appearance and personality

At twelve, Ciara is a small, frail girl with pale skin and long, curling black hair reaching her waist. She initially keeps her eyes closed and speaks only through telepathy because she was born unable to see or vocalize; she had also been unable to hear early in life. After Shin's treatment, she opens large black irises with a white cross clearly inscribed in each eye and gains an ordinary speaking voice. By their next meeting she has grown noticeably taller, but her body still requires training to bear the mana and authority of her Evil Eyes. (Chapters 127, 263–265, and 309)

Ciara is intelligent, energetic, and outwardly polite, frequently speaking with intense enthusiasm and absolute confidence in her role as Saintess. She can work tirelessly, learn mana control quickly, and provide accurate warnings, yet her devotion turns every person other than Shin into a potential instrument. She interprets rejection as hidden affection, equates Shin's benefit with moral correctness, and hides information whenever truth would obstruct her desired outcome. Although her childhood disability and instrumental treatment by the Kenex clan help explain her need to view suffering as the price of chosenness, her final decisions show that greater freedom and knowledge do not make her repent. Powers and abilities

Ciara's powers originate in an innate connection to Earth and in authority passed through an ancient elemental later identified with Peika. Her main capabilities are selecting and distributing abilities, reading Earth's records and possible futures through Evil Eyes, telepathy, and unusually large mana reserves. Her late control of Sherafina's power is acquired and temporary rather than proof that every dungeon authority was originally hers. (Chapters 127–128, 164, 263–265, 309, and 349–352)

Ability selection and distribution

Before Two Moon, Ciara experiences hundreds of thousands of abilities through dreams involving other worlds. She does not choose arbitrary recipients; potential ability users are already selected, and she examines their futures to match each person with a power compatible with individual talent and limits. Compatibility affects the resulting rank, and an unsuitable assignment can cause harm. She also cannot make everyone an ability user, though she can supply a suitable power to a newly arrived qualified person such as Palludia. The exact process that first deposits the ability pool in Ciara is not explained to her at the time. (Chapters 127–128)

Ability fragments return toward Ciara when released without a new bearer, and Shin later confirms that the elemental talent he received was mediated through her but required his rare personal aptitude. Her choices are not perfectly optimized: Sophie's response to Joshua's extracted ability suggests Ciara had given it to the less compatible sibling. The conclusion reveals that Peika's ancient self selected Ciara as an intermediary to connect the elemental with its future master. Evil Eyes and Earth's records

Ciara is born with Evil Eyes rather than earning them through dungeon achievements. Her unprepared body suppresses sight, voice, and initially hearing to reduce their lethal mana burden; an Enigma-enhanced Elixir restores those functions but does not remove the need for control training. Opening her eyes increases the demonstrated precision and reach of her foresight dramatically. Early predictions cover roughly a city and grow through use, while later visions identify world enemies, future dungeon waves, locations, broad timing, and an event three years ahead. Ciara eventually explains that her eyes do not merely show isolated future scenes. They access the record of Earth's past and future and can retrieve information from the planet's memory once she has a useful keyword. This makes them administrator-like within their domain but not omniscient: they cannot fully observe the dungeon, other worlds, or events concealed off Earth, and their predictions are not absolute while her mastery is incomplete. Telepathy and perception

Before gaining her voice, Ciara communicates by placing words directly into selected minds, addressing multiple people in a room while excluding outsiders. Telepathy also lets her contact targets at a distance and later attempt messages that ordinary communication cannot carry. Because it interferes with the recipient's mind, sufficient mana or magic resistance can block it; Shin cuts off her attempt simply by raising his mana, and later resists messages strongly enough that another person must relay them. Her pre-awakening perception also detects human presence, hostility, approximate strength, and potential despite physical blindness. This allows her to face speakers and navigate interactions before her eyes open, but it is distinct from ordinary sight and does not eliminate her emotional dependence on an imagined Hero. After treatment, visual experience gives her access to the physical world she had only inferred, while the Evil Eyes add a far larger informational layer. Mana reserves and Peruta Circuit

Ciara possesses vast mana but initially can use it only when her ability activates; otherwise it leaks through an underdeveloped body in tangled flows. Hwaya first stabilizes those flows, and Shin later teaches her the Peruta Circuit, a circulation method she learns faster than the other students. Training improves the usable precision of her Evil Eyes and helps her sustain longer forecasts, but overwork still causes anxiety, exhaustion, and collapse. Her rapid progress foreshadows the control displayed after absorbing Sherafina. Ciara manipulates an overwhelming foreign mana supply fluidly enough to immobilize Shin, block Divine Speed, close a dimensional gate, and attempt to extract dungeon power from him. That performance surpasses her earlier reported training level, but it occurs inside Sherafina's own realm with Sherafina's memories and power available. It therefore demonstrates extraordinary adaptability, not permanent mastery of that scale with Ciara's original mana. (Chapters 309 and 349–351)

Absorption of Sherafina and world-transfer plan

When Sherafina attempts to absorb Ciara, the stronger distribution authority reverses the process: Ciara retains her identity while taking Sherafina's body of power, memories, mana, and ability to move world powers. She can then begin connecting Earth to other worlds and transferring their powers toward Shin. Raw mana makes her stronger than him in the Dungeon Lord's realm, but the fusion is impure. Lespina's rejection authority separates the borrowed components, proving that Ciara's temporary supremacy depends on power she has incorporated rather than made wholly her own. (Chapters 348–351)

Ciara's original plan is also limited by Shin's autonomy and by information outside Earth's record. She assumes that enough transferred power will make the outcome irreversible and that he will eventually accept her reasoning, but she cannot absorb the dungeon power protected through the Collector's Pocket Watch and does not foresee Lespina's arrival. Her latest state is death after separation from the borrowed power. The surviving church is a social consequence of her preparation, not evidence that her supernatural authority continues operating after Chapter 351. (Chapters 349–352)

Political organization and media control

The Kenex clan gives Ciara funds, personnel, guards, and access to media systems. She uses filmed battles to manufacture Shin's Dragon Knight reputation, supplies forecasts to American responders, counters hostile coverage from the Heroes of Shadow, and builds an international organization and later a church centered on him. These are strategic applications of wealth, foresight, and messaging rather than a demonstrated mind-control power. Her cross-shaped Evil Eyes also resist Daisy Ectradion's attempt to read her true intentions because Ciara's league is higher. (Chapters 127–154, 178–180, and 349–350)

Her greatest political success is also her central moral failure. Ciara anticipates that catastrophic loss will make frightened survivors seek a savior, withholds enough warning for billions to die, then isolates dissent and amplifies worship of Shin. The church persists after she is killed because ordinary people choose to preserve it in the aftermath, making it impossible to erase without further violence. The result shows the reach of her planning, but it depends on institutions and public grief rather than posthumous supernatural compulsion. (Chapters 334–352)
