Peika

Peika is Kang Shin's first contracted elemental, a self-aware lightning spirit whose support grows from modest elemental attacks into materialized dragon combat and close integration with his strongest techniques. Her fierce loyalty is eventually revealed to have reshaped plans she had pursued since long before their contract. (Chapters 28, 164, and 352)

Biography

A Named Elemental Awakens

Peika first appears among the elementals connected to Shin's awakening as a named, unique lightning elemental whose deeper nature remains locked. Manifesting even her small form continuously consumes his mana, but his Peruta Circuit makes that burden manageable. She quickly shows that she is not a passive source of power: she declares her intention to fight, draws mana to attack the Dark Ratman independently, and responds with conspicuous pride when Shin trusts or praises her. At this stage she is comparatively weak, yet the mutual confidence established in these early battles gives Shin a partner capable of covering openings he cannot address alone. (Chapters 28–33)

Their cooperation soon develops two distinct modes. Peika can operate outside Shin, burning enemies beyond his facing and warning him against threats such as Arachne's temptation, or she can enter a spear or gauntlet through Spirit Aura and make his close-range attacks electrically effective. Her lightning helps break the Orc Lord's armor, destroys webs, and enables the compound skill Thunder Beast when combined with Shin's martial ability. Shin consequently stops treating her as an auxiliary novelty and entrusts entire lanes of enemies to her, while Peika accepts heavy mana use to clear paths through undead hordes. The result is an increasingly reciprocal combat bond rather than a simple master issuing orders to a tool. (Chapters 32, 35, and 41–48)

Materialization and a Growing Household

As Shin's responsibilities expand beyond ordinary dungeon climbing, Peika becomes both a battlefield partner and a familiar presence in his daily life. She eats and drinks in miniature form, brags about him to party members, protects vulnerable allies, and competes for his attention with Ruyue. That jealousy can be comic, but the two elementals learn to coordinate paralysis and freezing against enemies. When Peika disappears into a hidden area of Fairy Garden, Shin abandons delay because he believes she is in danger; during the ensuing crisis she achieves her first awakening and materializes as a young girl, using a lightning whip against the hostile ice elemental. Her rescue therefore becomes a turning point in both her independence and the visible depth of their attachment. (Chapters 51, 55, and 72–79)

Peika's growing mastery makes her useful far beyond direct damage. She detects electricity, destroys surveillance equipment while remaining invisible to cameras, restrains fugitives with lightning, and attacks ghosts that ordinary weapons cannot harm. Shin's acquisition of Zeus's true name strengthens his affinity with her until even a routine infusion gives his gauntlet a golden radiance. In Beyond, Peika then demonstrates initiative that changes Shin's own approach to combat: she recognizes the walls' reflective enchantment, repeatedly rebounds her lightning whip through herself to amplify it, and annihilates a mass of Orc Lords with Thunder Dragon Wave. Her example teaches Shin to exploit battlefield properties rather than rely only on superior force, making her judgment as important as her elemental output. (Chapters 84, 89, 95, 128, and 139)

The Dragon Behind the Seal

The release of higher seals exposes how incomplete Peika's earlier presentation was. When Shin's elemental skills advance, she retains a miniature dragon shape in spiritual form and admits that she had concealed her true body because she feared he would hate a dragon. Shin answers that her form does not alter her place among his precious elementals, relieving a fear that had shaped her deception. Materialized as a roughly fifteen-meter black Eastern-style dragon, Peika bears two sparking horns and lightning-filled scales. Although this form consumes far more mana than her earlier manifestation, it overwhelms a powerful free elemental and lets Shin ride her in aerial combat, changing her from a small companion into a mount and front-line combatant without erasing the affection behind their contract. Her unsealed form also broadens the ways she acts on Shin's behalf. Peika can carry him at speed, discharge lightning across a wide area, absorb hostile lightning that matches her element, and dematerialize at the decisive moment to evade an otherwise trapping attack. She remains protective and sometimes possessive, yet that devotion produces practical judgment: she warns Shin, adapts her form to his tactical needs, and works with Sharana, Ruyue, and Dortu rather than insisting on fighting alone. By this stage, her lightning is not merely added to Shin's weapons; it is one part of a coordinated elemental system that gives him flight, defense, control, and concentrated offense according to the enemy before him. World Enemies and a Deepening Contract

Against armies and world enemies, Peika alternates between independent materialization and close fusion according to scale. She destroys falling rock and dispersed enemies while outside Shin, but enters his weapon or body when he needs concentrated force or electrical defense. During the battle against the Destroyers, she promises lightning capable of cutting through fire, and Shin feels their connection deepen as he accepts that promise. Her power combines with Sharana's wind and Shin's Heroic Aura, Lightning God power, Zeus-derived power, and mana-control techniques; these layered attacks can breach barriers or compress enough energy that an uncontrolled release would endanger allies as well as enemies. The cost remains real, since sustaining powerful elementals drains Shin's mana and forces him to choose carefully among simultaneous contracts and manifestations. (Chapters 221, 224–226, 247–263, and 272)

Peika also increasingly serves as a protector whose decisions are not reducible to Shin's commands. She binds powerful targets, opposes encroaching mana-eating blood, and supplies the lightning that lets him push his speed and spear techniques to their limit. Underwater she is first used defensively because electricity spreads through the surrounding water and threatens allies; later, when Ruyue handles defense, Peika's lightning is amplified into platinum-colored power for a focused attack. These changing assignments show both her versatility and a constraint on it: the same wide-conducting element that excels at paralysis and area destruction can be tactically unsafe, so her strongest contribution depends on positioning, allies, and Shin's ability to supply and shape mana. The Choice at the Dungeon's End

In the final dungeon campaigns, Peika remains Shin's preferred partner for lightning-centered offense even as the full elemental team grows stronger. She raises Chaotic Spear's lightning, helps him cross a robot battlefield when summon limits leave her as his sole active combat partner, and materializes to challenge the Death Lord's death energy. Her attacks can be checked by sufficiently strong barriers, but she continues changing roles—charging independently, returning to Spirit Aura, or imbuing Dortu-shaped metal targets—in response to resistance. Against Lilith, Peika sees through a deception that escapes Shin and consumes the weakened enemy's residual power. The act enlarges her dragon body and advances her toward recovering her real form, while its unexplained mechanism emphasizes that her nature still exceeds what Shin understands. After the dungeon's end, Peika finally explains the design behind that hidden nature. Speaking indirectly about herself, she describes an elemental born with an ancient star who connected worlds and used Ciara Kenex as an intermediary while waiting for the master she intended to make immortal. The contract altered that plan: Shin's possible sorrow or early death came to matter more to Peika than her own survival, so she gave him lightning reserved for herself, protected him, and ultimately refused Ciara's dying appeal. Peika fears that revealing this manipulation will make Shin hate her, but he chooses continued partnership instead. Her embrace—and immediate request to become his seventh bride—closes the arc with her loyalty openly personal, no longer merely the execution of an ancient strategy. (Chapter 352)

Appearance and personality

Peika first manifests as a small girl with black hair, an elegant dress, and a folding fan, often perching on Shin's shoulder or head. Her first awakened materialization resembles a girl of about ten, while the release of a higher seal reveals a long black dragon with two horns and scales charged with lightning; in spiritual form she can remain a miniature dragon coiled around Shin's arm. Fairy Garden can also empower her to manifest again in a beautiful girl form, where she carries a parasol. The corpus does not establish that any one of these visible forms is her final fully unsealed body. (Chapters 29, 51, 76, 164, 169, and 352)

She is proud, affectionate, competitive, and intensely protective of Shin. Praise makes her boastful, perceived favoritism makes her sulk or crackle angrily, and her rivalry with Ruyue repeatedly becomes playful bickering. At the same time, she notices dangers, offers tactical ideas, accepts difficult assignments, and measures her choices against Shin's safety. Her final confession reframes her possessiveness: a being who once viewed others from the distance of billions of years becomes afraid of causing one person pain, and she values his happiness above the continuance of her original plan. Powers and abilities

Peika's power is elemental lightning expressed through her contract with Shin. She can fight separately, materialize a physical body, or merge with Shin and his equipment through Spirit Aura. The contract supplies communication and mana but does not make every effect automatic: Peika interprets Shin's intent, makes tactical choices, and controls lightning techniques herself. Her oldest origin is revealed only indirectly at the end, and the corpus does not fully explain the rules behind her star-associated nature or all of her seals. (Chapters 28–30, 86, 164, and 352)

Elemental contract and Spirit Aura

When unmaterialized, Peika can enter spears, gauntlets, projectiles, and eventually Shin's body. Weapon infusion surrounds attacks with lightning, burns or paralyzes targets, and allows her to alter a projectile's path; body infusion amplifies Shin and can defend him against hostile electrical energy. Their strengthening bond permits thought-level coordination, while higher Spirit Aura ranks let Shin use Peika's elemental magic without ending the fusion. The same integration helps produce compound or layered techniques such as Thunder Beast and later platinum lightning combining Peika's power with Lightning God power and Heroic Aura. The latest battles continue to use this mode, particularly when concentrated spear power is more useful than a separate combatant. (Chapters 32, 42, 62, 86, 139, 247–251, and 339)

Spirit Aura and summoning depend on Shin's mana. Materialization is especially expensive, and damage to a materialized elemental consumes mana and can force a reverse-summon. Maintaining several elementals therefore creates a practical ceiling even after Shin's contract capacity rises. Environmental conditions also matter: underwater lightning spreads indiscriminately, limiting Peika's offense near allies, while reflective walls can increase her attacks if their trajectories are controlled. These constraints explain why she shifts between small form, dragon form, independent ranged support, and infusion instead of treating her strongest visible manifestation as universally optimal. Lightning shaping and battlefield control

Peika shapes lightning into arrows, spears, bombs, showers, chains, and a whip. These forms let her burn webbing, strike incorporeal enemies, interrupt attacks, paralyze targets, bind limbs, or clear large groups while flying beyond melee reach. Her Thunder Dragon Wave exploits reflective surfaces: the whip rebounds through the room and through Peika herself, absorbing further energy each time until she recalls it. She can also put lightning into crossbow bolts “like Thunder Spears” and control their trajectories, demonstrating that her shaping extends beyond direct bolts. The source establishes these outcomes and her control, but not a separate activation formula or fixed range for each technique. (Chapters 41, 68, 80, 89, 95, 139, and 262)

Her electricity affinity also provides detection, resistance, and absorption. Peika can sense and destroy electronic devices while cameras fail to record her elemental form, giving her a covert role outside combat. In Beyond, she absorbs repeated Dark Thunder Explosions and uses the accumulated energy to destroy traps. When infused into Shin underwater, she helps him endure an electric ray's discharge; in later battles, her lightning can be heightened by Zeus's true name, Lightning God power, Sharana's wind, Dortu's metal, or Shin's mana circulation. These combinations increase force and flexibility, but sufficiently powerful barriers and overwhelming death energy can still resist or outlast her attacks. Materialization, flight, and concealed nature

Peika's first awakened materialization produces a young human form with a lightning whip. A later seal release exposes her dragon shape, which can fly, carry Shin, bite, breathe or discharge large quantities of lightning, and maneuver rapidly enough to evade pursuing attacks. The dragon form sharply increases her combat power and mana consumption, and she can dismiss it instantly to drop Shin out of a trap. Fairy Garden can empower a human manifestation even after the dragon revelation, so her forms appear to be selectable expressions rather than a simple permanent replacement; the exact relationship between them and her unrecovered “real body” remains uncertain. (Chapters 76–77, 139, 164, 168–170, and 306–352)

Peika's most unusual demonstrated act is detecting the weakened Lilith behind a convincing magical deception and consuming her remaining power. Doing so enlarges Peika, produces another horn, and brings her closer to recovering her real body. Shin cannot determine whether this resistance comes from Peika being an elemental, her sex, or a deeper special nature, and Peika refuses to eat arbitrary monsters afterward. Her final account establishes that she was an extraordinarily old elemental associated with a star, capable of connecting worlds and granting lightning reserved for herself, but it does not supply enough mechanics to generalize the Lilith incident into a repeatable absorption power.
