Wrath

Wrath is an epic sword from the Seven Sins set and one of Randalph Brigsiel's longest-serving weapons. It grants strength, carries a dangerous physical-enhancement skill, and remains useful after its individual skill is absorbed into a larger set effect.

History

Prize from the Demon World Auction

Wrath appears as an auction item coveted by demons who recognize both its epic rating and its connection to the Seven Sins. Randalph acquires it early enough to make the sword a defining advantage in ranking battles, giant hunts, and dungeon conflicts. Although he values its direct strength bonus and reliable blade more than many specialized treasures, mastering its attached skill requires testing how far the effect can suppress judgment without erasing the combat instincts he needs to distinguish allies from enemies. (Chapters 27–76)

A weapon inside an expanding set

Randalph later pairs Wrath with Sloth, then adds a third Seven Sins component through Infinity Armour. Collecting three pieces replaces the individual Wrath and Sloth skills with Corruption, temporarily changing how the set manifests without removing the sword itself. Wrath subsequently returns to its original form and remains part of his regular equipment, its physical bonus continuing even when the earlier standalone skill no longer appears in his skill list. (Chapters 94–142 and 190)

Sword of the final campaigns

In later battles, Wrath serves as one half of Randalph's dual-sword style alongside The Emperor's Sword. He layers Dark Sword, Moonlight Falling, lightning, and Pride's flames over the pair, using Wrath as the durable weapon through which several powers can be combined. It remains in his hands during the contests with the surviving grand dukes and the final Demon World campaign, with the system still recording its strength increase near the end of the story. (Chapters 142, 190, and 228–241)

Abilities and properties

  • Epic blade: Wrath is a directly wielded sword whose item effect grants seven strength, making it valuable even without activating its named skill. (Chapters 64–76, 190, and 228–241)
  • Wrath skill: Its original skill raises Randalph's overall physical abilities, including agility, but lowers intelligence and can suppress conscious judgment. High intelligence and enhancement through Astral Code reduce that restriction; using Wrath together with Sloth risks loss of control, so Randalph initially alternates between their effects. (Chapters 33–37, 72–76, 98–100, and 113)
  • Set transformation: Once three Seven Sins pieces are assembled, the separate Wrath and Sloth skills disappear and are replaced by Corruption. The sword later resumes its original appearance and retains its item-stat contribution. (Chapters 113–142 and 190)
  • Power conduit: Wrath accepts Randalph's sword arts and layered elemental effects, allowing Dark Sword, Moonlight Falling, Lightning God, and Pride's flames to reinforce attacks delivered through it. Those combinations depend on the wielder's abilities rather than powers inherent to the sword itself. (Chapters 90–93, 124–142, 230, and 237)
