Infinity Armour

The Infinity Armour is living armour born from Infinite Flesh and a branch of the Tree of Origin. After Randalph Brigsiel forces it out of its mind-consuming “Running Wild” state, it becomes his growing substitute for Greed in the Seven Sins set and remains part of his battle equipment through his duel for the demon-king throne.

History

Accidental creation and violent dismantling

Yihi inadvertently initiates the armour’s creation by stabbing a Tree of Origin fragment into Infinite Flesh. Stein later finds the hardened flesh and, without understanding its nature, turns it into armour. Because he cannot properly purify the material, the result runs wild as Greed, consumes his judgment, and reconstructs damage while he attacks the dungeon’s defenders. Randalph defeats Stein, partly destroys the armour, and forcibly removes it. This “dismantling” ends the runaway state and changes the item from Infinity Armour (Running Wild) to Infinity Armour (Growth). Its damaged shape restores itself over the next two days, after which Randalph equips it. (Chapters 113–114)

Growth and adaptation as a Seven Sins substitute

Once linked to Randalph’s magic power, the armour begins to grow: by the following auction it has gradually raised his strength and agility by one each and his intelligence and magic power by two each. Its association with Greed lets it replace that sin alongside Wrath and Sloth; equipping the three completes a three-piece set and replaces their individual skills with Corruption. When Randalph activates Corruption, the armour absorbs the resulting dark magic and reshapes its armour and helmet around his new horns and wings, then later returns to its ordinary form. It continues to serve as both protection and disguise, recovering rapidly after a breath attack melts part of it and helping conceal Randalph beneath a changed silhouette and mask. (Chapters 113–148)

Resistance to divine power and continued possession

Randalph later confirms through repeated experiments that the armour is unusually resistant to Gustarte’s power because it was made from Greed’s body. That resistance helps him endure the operation to capture the god. The armour is still in his possession near the end of the conflict, when he wears it with a crimson cloak while confronting Ariel Diablo in the duel that will determine the demon king. No later transfer, destruction, or replacement is recorded in the cited evidence. (Chapters 213–230)

Abilities and properties

  • The armour repairs its shape after being broken, partly destroyed, or melted. Its response to Dark Sword is reconstruction rather than healing, allowing it to restore material despite that skill’s prohibition on healing. Randalph judges that large-scale reconstruction should require substantial magic power, but the cited evidence does not establish an exact cost or exhaustion point. (Chapters 113, 136)
  • It absorbs incoming attacks and converts them into magic power, and it can invalidate the impact of certain blows. The source never defines which attacks qualify or gives a fixed absorption limit. (Chapter 113)
  • In its original Running Wild state, inadequate purification lets Greed dominate the wearer’s mind. Forceful dismantling suppresses this condition; afterward, the user’s magic power drives a Growth state in which further special options can develop. (Chapter 113)
  • Its growth produces gradual statistic increases. The explicitly recorded early gains are strength +1, agility +1, intelligence +2, and magic power +2; later growth stages and their precise thresholds are not enumerated. (Chapters 113–115)
  • Its Greed affinity permits it to replace Greed in the Seven Sins set. Together with Wrath and Sloth, it triggers the higher-ranked Corruption skill, and it physically adapts to the transformed wearer rather than obstructing newly formed horns and wings. (Chapters 113, 128)
  • The same Greed-derived substance provides demonstrated resistance to Gustarte’s divine effects. This property is experimentally observed, but the evidence does not show that it grants general immunity to every god or divine attack. (Chapter 213)
