Leandra

Leandra is Zac and Kenzie Atwood’s mother, a surviving Kayar-Elu technocrat and former Class-5 Autarch. She helped create the paired experiment that joined the Void Emperor bloodline, a perfected Duplicity Core, and the Digital Nexus, then disappeared after the System retaliated against that undertaking. Her return saves Kenzie from heavenly judgment but also kills Thea Marshall, removes Kenzie from Earth, and turns Leandra from an absent parent into one of Zac’s most personal adversaries.

Biography

Absence, preparations, and return

Leandra vanished soon after Kenzie’s birth, leaving Robert Atwood to raise both children and erasing almost every mundane trace of her existence. What remained was deliberate: Leandra’s Necklace, left with instructions that it might help the siblings find her, carried Technocrat credentials and a delayed synthetic message. Kenzie also carried Jeeves, the Digital Nexus Leandra’s people had intended to pair with Zac. These preparations protected pieces of the Kayar-Elu undertaking while Leandra stayed beyond reach, but they left Zac resentful and Kenzie longing for a mother neither child understood. (Chapters 116, 189–190, and 491)

Leandra returned only when Kenzie’s attempt to evolve Jeeves drew System tribulation. She descended through a colossal eight-armed Technocrat form, raised barriers that withstood the lightning, hid Kenzie inside layered energy, and sealed the premature advance. Her intervention prevented the immediate deaths of both children, but it was not a reunion on their terms. Leandra judged Kenzie’s ordinary human foundations incapable of supporting the Digital Nexus and decided that nurturing her elsewhere mattered more than preserving the family on Earth. Kenzie’s plea that all three remain together could not change that priority. (Chapters 663–665)

The price of the undertaking

Leandra chose Thea Marshall as a lightning rod when the System continued searching for Kenzie, lifting her through the barrier so the tribulation would kill her and exhaust itself. She justified the sacrifice as protection for Thea’s clan and as service to the Kayar-Elu undertaking, dismissing Zac’s love and grief as mundane concerns beneath destiny. The decision saved Kenzie but destroyed any chance of reconciliation with Zac. Leandra then installed an array to conceal his Duplicity Core, placed Kenzie in her Inner World, severed Karma with her son, and warned him that approaching again without the strength to kill her would end in his death. Taking Kenzie did not produce obedient trust. Leandra suppressed her daughter’s body to avoid System detection and began rebuilding her soul, constitution, and theoretical foundation for a proper cultivation path, offering access to knowledge far beyond frontier schooling. Kenzie privately interpreted the instruction as poisonous but necessary, concealing her intent to grow beyond both Leandra and Jeeves. Zac responded to the loss and Thea’s death with devastation before converting helplessness into a long-term resolve to reach his sister. Leandra’s choices therefore advanced the Kayar-Elu project while turning both children against the role she had assigned them. (Chapters 665–668 and 921)

Distant warnings and unresolved designs

Leandra later maintained expensive long-distance contact through her token while keeping Kenzie inaccessible. When Zac forced a connection to ask about the Sindris Clan, Leandra initially treated ignorance as protection, then reconsidered after realizing outside actors were already shaping him. She chose to reveal the Selvari’s war with the Limitless Empire, the Void Emperor’s disputed betrayal, the Sindris lineage in Zac’s genetic design, and the Kayar-Elu’s reason for coveting his bloodline. The disclosure was strategic rather than an emotional reconciliation: she warned that capture or death would endanger Kenzie and kept the undertaking at the center of their relationship. Leandra's latest direct work with Kenzie takes place in a private section of an Immemorial Realm supplied by the Heavenly Palace of Six Profundity, where Leandra holds the position of Formation Guest Lecturer. She responds to the System actively hunting Kenzie after Hegemony by helping transform all four elemental Dao Branches through the Earthly Peak rather than resetting her cultivation. Leandra supplies the computers, connections, and wholehearted instruction that make the redesign possible, but that devotion does not restore their family bond: after a decade of seclusion, mother and daughter interact as a guarded teacher and dependent disciple. The current measures may support Kenzie through Earthly Dao formation and Peak D-grade, while Leandra claims to have found an undisclosed permanent solution to the System's pursuit. (Chapter 1062)

The remaining clues show limits to Leandra’s control. Her concealment array could fool Monarchs and weaker Autarchs, yet the Perennial Vastness saw through it immediately. Her route to the Six Profundity Empire remains Zac’s most promising lead toward Kenzie, while recollections of earlier talks reveal that his unexplained passage through the Eight Hells frightened even Leandra. She had been grievously wounded during the original calamity and acknowledges that events around Zac exceeded her understanding. Although she was once a Class-5 Autarch and later estimated her power between Peak Class-4 and Class-5, neither statement confirms her current cultivation grade, the extent of any regression, or her latest recovery. Appearance and personality

Leandra’s flesh-and-blood body looks as Zac remembers from childhood, but her return first appears as a lofty purple-metal giant with eight arms. The construct dissolves into dust that partly rejoins her body and partly becomes a protective dome, blurring the boundary between armor, avatar, and Technocrat machinery. Her purple dress is covered in technological scripts and can transform into a cultivator’s robe, visually reflecting the same dual identity: she can present as an advanced technocrat or as a supreme cultivator without either aspect being a disguise. She usually speaks with tranquil, almost complete emotional restraint. That calm breaks around the System, toward which she carries hatred intense enough to affect the sea, sky, and weaker bodies nearby. Leandra can show tenderness to Kenzie and pain when discussing Robert or the Kayar-Elu calamity, but conviction consistently overrides affection. She evaluates lives through the undertaking and the long war against the System, making her protective, patient, and knowledgeable toward Kenzie while remaining capable of killing Thea and disowning Zac without accepting those acts as moral contradictions. Abilities and cultivation

Leandra unites Technocrat systems, arrays, an Inner World, high-grade spatial methods, and a cultivator’s control of Dao and Law. She states that she was once a Class-5 Autarch, but that a calamity nearly destroyed the Kayar-Elu and left her grievously wounded despite her father’s sacrifice. At the time of taking Kenzie, she places her effective strength between Peak Class-4 and Class-5. These are a past rank and an approximate power assessment, not a confirmed current System grade; her precise cultivation realm, recovery, and relationship between Technocrat classification and Autarchy remain unresolved. Kayar-Elu technocracy and experimental knowledge

Leandra belongs to the Kayar-Elu, a prime Selvari lineage that survived the System’s birth by hiding in the seams of reality. Her expertise includes genetic design, artificial intelligence, cultivation foundations, bloodlines, and technologies that operate outside ordinary System rules. She helped arrange Zac’s mixed biological inheritance and perfected Duplicity Core, originally intending him to pair with the Digital Nexus and become an incarnation of the Machine God. The System’s violent response shattered that design, killed hundreds of billions among her people, and left Zac and Jeeves alive but fatefully punished. (Chapters 665, 921, and 1164)

This knowledge lets Leandra diagnose problems neither frontier cultivators nor Jeeves can safely resolve. She recognizes that Kenzie’s mortal constitution cannot sustain the Nexus’s evolution, seals the attempt, and prescribes cultivation of soul, constitution, and theory before further progress. She can also identify a Dimensional Seed’s growth and forecast when its hidden world will open. Her knowledge is not omniscience: Jeeves has developed a living core she does not fully control, the System can react beyond expected covenants, and Zac’s movement through the Eight Hells lies outside her explanations. Technocrat avatar and tribulation defense

Leandra’s descent manifests a gigantic eight-armed metal body whose fingers contain energies vastly beyond ordinary Technocrat vessels. Its hands form seals, adjust barriers under active tribulation, and shape a portal through which her flesh-and-blood body emerges. The avatar then disperses into purple particles that can merge with Leandra or form a defensive dome. The exact classification—armor, external body, or construct—is not stated, but it functions as both transport and a large-scale interface for her defensive systems. (Chapters 663–664)

Her barrier suite can endure System lightning long enough to cocoon Kenzie, conceal the intended target, and redirect the judgment. It does not simply overpower the Heavens indefinitely. Leandra says she can trick them only briefly, and ultimately uses Thea to draw and exhaust the remaining tribulation rather than continue a direct contest. The encounter also shows collateral danger: Leandra’s unleashed hatred and aura crack Zac’s organs, dim the sun, and boil the ocean despite not being directed at him. (Chapter 664)

Arrays, concealment, and seals

Leandra’s Duplicity concealment array disguises Zac’s Specialty Core, body, and status from Monarchs and weaker Autarchs and can subvert even stronger perceptions to some degree. Its operation locks the presented constitution in place; breaking the seal to transform disables the disguise for a month. This makes it useful against inspection but costly for a combatant whose two forms are central to his path. An entity in the Perennial Vastness later sees through it, establishing that Leandra’s “almost perfected” protection is powerful rather than absolute. (Chapters 665 and 978)

She applies related sealing principles to Kenzie by suppressing bodily progress, preserving momentum while reducing System detection. Layered energy can isolate Kenzie from an active heavenly search, while informational systems inside Leandra’s Inner World turn walls into screens carrying advanced cultivation theory. These techniques are designed for preparation and concealment more than free advancement: Kenzie remains unable to evolve Jeeves safely until her underlying foundation changes, and the very need for secrecy restricts when and where Leandra can act. Inner World, space, and remote contact

Leandra possesses an Inner World large and stable enough to hold Kenzie and provide a controlled training environment. She explains that such a world shores up a cultivator’s foundation and lets each movement carry the will of that world, later imparted with truth as a Heavenly Law. Leandra can move people into it without conventional travel, open vortex-like spatial passages, cross extraordinary distances, and disappear without leaving a ripple. Her route toward the Six Profundity Empire also implies access to rare pathways through the Endless or Eternal Storm. (Chapters 665 and 977)

Long-distance projection through Leandra’s Necklace allows real-time conversation with Zac and carries enough fidelity for her to inspect his evolved bloodline. The connection is expensive and creates a danger of exposure, so Leandra can refuse or delay contact and objects when Zac uses it carelessly. This limits the token as a communication channel: it offers access to her knowledge but not a reliable way to reach Kenzie, compel assistance, or confirm Leandra’s physical location and current cultivation state. It carries archaic Council Inspector credentials, releases a delayed synthetic message after a blood descendant reaches E-grade, and later supports costly long-distance communication with Leandra. • Kenzie Atwood: Leandra views Kenzie as daughter, student, and harbinger of the Final Era. She saves her from tribulation and offers incomparable training, but removes her agency by taking her away and suppressing her body.
