Biography

Role in the wider conflict

When integration removes both children from his reach, Robert searches Greenworth instead of treating their disappearance as final. As empowered wildlife begins attacking civilians, he learns the System, helps organize local defenders, and becomes a leader while continuing the search. The return of tutorial survivors gives him a possible lead, so he chooses to approach Thom Sullivan with other civic leaders despite the danger. That decision leads to his death in the purge of competing authority, but the diary and necklace he leaves behind give Zac both the truth and a lasting statement that parenthood was defined by Robert's love, not biology. Robert's influence persists decades after his death. When an inherited memory makes Zac grieve another father, he deliberately distinguishes Robert from the biological parent Leandra mentioned and rereads the mortal diary despite its decaying pages.
