Ivor

Ivor is a Lethal Bite Clan head assessor whose early contempt for no-name Wanderers is overturned by the Stone Estate disaster. After surviving Niang's trap with help from Bargo and Raze Cromwell, he becomes a practical supporter of Harbour's more open recruitment and helps stabilize Current City.

Biography

A Prejudiced Assessor

Ivor first appears processing recruits at a Lethal Bite barracks. He is strict to the point of rejecting most applicants and openly calls no-name Wanderers useless, believing they lack the history and loyalty needed to honor the clan. Under orders from Harbour and the clan leadership, he nevertheless leads those recruits to the Stone Estate, where an apparently routine rescue becomes a concealed purge arranged by Niang. (Chapters 503–505)

Inside the estate, Ivor takes command, draws his sword, and demands answers when Lethal Bite uniforms appear among the killers. His third-stage cultivation is badly outmatched by the clan's elite attackers: Bargo repeatedly protects him, and Ivor accumulates stab wounds before being thrown down. In desperation he urges Himmy to let Raze use whatever power can save them. Raze's victory and Ivor's recognition of the White Dragon force him to confront the talent he had dismissed because of name and origin. (Chapters 506–513)

Rebuilding the Barracks

After the old clan falls, Ivor applies that lesson to recruitment. When another assessor denounces no-names, Ivor answers that the rebuilt clan also begins without history and should accept them; what matters is whether someone can protect a legacy, not whether they inherited one. Harbour later identifies Ivor as the person handling city guards and barracks, turning his changed judgment into part of the new administration. (Chapters 531, 534, and 536)

The new openness exposes him to another attack when elite Wanderers infiltrate the assessment seeking the Lux Sword. They kill the applicants, hold Ivor hostage, and force him to guide them to Raze. He survives the resulting confrontation and reports the destroyed barracks to Harbour. Chapter 543 is his latest direct narrative presence; no later chapter establishes his death or subsequent career. (Chapters 536–543)

Appearance and personality

The corpus does not give Ivor a stable physical description beyond his weapon, clan role, and Lethal Bite presentation. His manner is easier to identify: he begins stern, hot-tempered, and status-conscious, bristling when Anna challenges his planning or when Raze seems to know more than he does. (Chapters 503–506 and 512)

Ivor is also capable of learning from humiliation. His dependence on the no-name recruits he despised becomes a lasting reversal rather than a temporary concession, and he later stops a subordinate from repeating the same prejudice. He remains impulsive in danger, but his willingness to report honestly and maintain the barracks makes him useful to Harbour's reconstruction. (Chapters 509–513, 534, 536, and 543)

Magic, cultivation, and abilities

Ivor is explicitly a third-stage Pagna warrior. He uses Qi-enhanced kicks, carries a sword, can break a door from its hinges, and attempts to strike openings while a stronger swordsman controls the front line. His senses and familiarity with clan personnel let him recognize high-ranking Lethal Bite attackers and identify Raze's Demonic movement technique. (Chapters 507–510)

His limitations are clear. Middle-stage or elite clan warriors overwhelm him in direct combat, and he relies on Bargo's defense and Raze's intervention to survive the Stone Estate. Later attackers can take him hostage before he mounts an effective response. The corpus shows no stage advancement, special bloodline, magic, or named technique after these events; his latest value lies in barracks command and local knowledge. (Chapters 508–513 and 536–543)
