Aurora

Aurora is a talented Central Mage Academy student and the younger sister of Alen. Initially proud of her status and hostile toward Kelly, she is accidentally transported to Pagna, where direct contact with Raze's family and allies forces her to reconsider Alterian accounts of Dark magic and the war surrounding the Grand Magi.

Biography

Top student and Kelly's rival

Aurora begins as a popular high-performing student whose wealth, family protection, and magical talent reinforce her sense of superiority. She targets the orphaned Kelly and treats their practical examination as a chance to establish the hierarchy between them. The duel escalates beyond safe competition when Aurora layers wind, water, and fire into an explosion that could kill Kelly, forcing Raze Cromwell, then known to her as Jake, to intervene. (Chapters 299–312)

The near-fatal exchange frightens Aurora as well as her opponent. She stops the sustained bullying afterward, though the corpus does not show a full apology or close friendship developing between them. Her attention shifts increasingly toward Jake: admiration for his strength becomes infatuation, while Alen's protective scrutiny creates pressure around any meeting. Aurora remains privileged and competitive, but the examination introduces consequences her earlier cruelty had ignored. (Chapters 312–325)

Stranded in Pagna

Much later, Aurora helps arrange a meeting between Raze and Alen in exchange for a promised date. While investigating a magic circle with a cat nearby, she accidentally activates a cross-world passage and arrives alone in Pagna without language, money, or knowledge of local customs. When restaurant workers and warriors surround her, she uses magic to defend herself and damages the building, but she consciously avoids killing people she cannot understand. (Chapters 1081–1088)

Charlotte and Alba rescue Aurora and bring her into Raze's Pagna circle. Translation and explanation reveal that she has entered another world, while encounters with Safa, Beatrix, and Raze's enchantments contradict the simple institutional story she learned in Alterian. Aurora is still frightened and wants to return home, yet curiosity replaces some of her contempt as she observes forms of power and loyalty that Central Academy did not prepare her to recognize. Aurora's position remains that of a displaced student, not a new Pagna cultivator. She asks questions, compares systems, and challenges parts of Raze's account, but ultimately accepts that her own world has hidden essential facts about him and Enaxx. She stays with the group because they offer the only credible route home and because witnessing their conduct gives her reasons to trust people she was taught to fear. (Chapters 1110–1125)

Witness to war and return home

When Pagna's war reaches its decisive stage, Aurora insists on accompanying the group far enough to see the truth and preserve the possibility of returning to Alterian. She remains away from the most dangerous front rather than pretending her three-star magic belongs beside Raze's strongest allies. From that position she witnesses the consequences of Enaxx's intervention and gains evidence that later lets her corroborate events to Alen. (Chapters 1202–1270)

Aurora returns through the Golden Globe as a passenger with Raze's party. In Alterian she becomes their practical guide, explaining guilds, food, payment systems, and official procedures, and she helps mediate contact with police before reuniting with Alen. Her testimony about Pagna and Enaxx gives her brother information he could not have obtained from Alterian authorities alone. (Chapters 1270–1285)

She eventually separates from the travelers at Wilton rather than joining Raze's continuing infiltration. Aurora worries about the enemies around him, but her latest direct scene expresses confidence that he can defeat the Grand Magi. She remains alive at home with Alen, changed from a student who trusted status automatically into one willing to believe her own cross-world experience over the sanctioned narrative. Appearance and personality

Aurora is a red-haired young woman regarded as a striking “fiery” beauty and is popular with students of more than one gender. Her clothing reflects her privileged background, including bright blue fabric, gems, and a decorative, fluffy style. Her family lives with significant wealth, and the corpus does not establish any lasting physical change during the Pagna journey. (Chapters 299–300)

At first she is proud, status-conscious, jealous, and capable of cruelty toward someone with less protection. She is also genuinely talented and competitive, not merely relying on family reputation. The practical examination exposes how far those traits can push her, and fear of what she nearly caused ends the continuing harassment even before she develops a broader understanding of Raze or Kelly. Pagna reveals a more adaptable side. Aurora panics when isolated, complains about discomfort, and remains romantically preoccupied with Raze, but she restrains lethal force against strangers, listens to explanations that challenge her education, and later helps travelers navigate Alterian society. Her growth is incomplete rather than absolute: she retains vanity and strong opinions while becoming more curious, compassionate, and skeptical of institutional certainty. Magic, cultivation, and abilities

Three-star elemental magic

Aurora is a three-star Alterian mage whom Alen describes as close to the fourth star. Her family is associated with Fire magic, and her demonstrated casting includes fireballs, Ember, wind swipes and whirls, a water spout, and a three-star water barrier. Alen says she knows the Breakthrough technique, but the supplied corpus does not clearly show Aurora activating it, so it should not be treated as a demonstrated transformation. (Chapters 299–312)

Her most dangerous academy technique is a multi-element combination. Aurora establishes several wind whirls, feeds them with Ember and Water, then adds a large fireball to create an explosion exceeding the defensive barrier around the examination. The method produces destructive scale but also shows poor safety judgment and a difficult balance of forces; Aurora needs her own water barrier, and Raze must protect Kelly from the blast. In Pagna, Aurora uses ranged magic to knock back or deter local fighters despite lacking Qi and knowledge of their martial system. She can damage structures and survive an immediate confrontation, but she recognizes that continued casting against a crowd will exhaust her mana. She therefore depends on rescue, translation, and local allies rather than becoming independently dominant in the unfamiliar world. (Chapters 1083–1088)

Magical education and limits

Aurora has a Central Academy student's grounding in formations, spell terminology, and magical society. That education lets her inspect an unfamiliar circle and recognize parts of Raze's enchantment work, but curiosity does not equal mastery: meddling with the circle contributes to her accidental transport, and she never demonstrates independent cross-world portal construction or artifact enchantment. Her latest formal star level remains unconfirmed beyond three. (Chapters 1081–1110)

Relationships

• Alen: Alen is Aurora's protective older brother and principal family support. She wants his approval while resisting some of his control, and her return lets her personally tell him what happened to Enaxx and what she learned in Pagna.
• Kelly: Aurora initially bullies Kelly and nearly kills her during a practical examination. The danger ends the continuing harassment, but the corpus does not establish a later friendship or complete reconciliation.
• Raze Cromwell: Aurora first knows Raze as Jake and develops an infatuation after he demonstrates overwhelming magic. Pagna turns attraction and fear into better-informed trust as she sees his family, work, and conflicts outside Alterian propaganda.
• Charlotte: Charlotte helps rescue Aurora in Pagna and supplies the translation needed for her to understand the new world. That intervention begins Aurora's transition from isolated intruder to protected guest.
• Safa: Safa's family bond with Raze and her Light magic complicate Aurora's assumptions about him. Their contact gives Aurora direct evidence that his relationships cannot be reduced to Central's image of a solitary evil Dark Magus.

Its network and payment functions do not solve her isolation in Pagna, illustrating how dependent the device is on Alterian infrastructure.
