Patriarch Yellow Oscillate — Archean Eon Art

Patriarch Yellow Oscillate is a Demon Realm demon sage who enters the human world through possession after the World Gap begins forming. His substitute body limits him to the fifth Firmament, but his accumulated technique realm, Stygian Saber Art, and physical strength let him threaten most Regis Godfiends. He kills Xue Feng, then joins a prepared assassination using the Three Terminal Formation. When that ambush fails, his elaborate attempt to escape through another possession is exposed, and Qin Wu kills him. (Chapters 300–467)

Biography

The decisive war and outer realm

Yellow Oscillate possesses a weak body to cross a small World Entrance, rapidly restores fourth Firmament cultivation, and joins Demon Sage Nine Abyss and Demon Sage North Sense. He expects the approaching worlds to favor the demons but is candid about the substitute body's slow recovery. After reaching the fifth Firmament, he delays the World Gap mission until he can map safe connection points and improve further. He instead chooses to hunt human experts, both to frighten Regis Godfiends and to nourish his Stygian Saber Art with their Death Aura. (Chapters 300, 333–338)

At Windflow City, Yellow Oscillate selects the promising Xue Feng as his first victim in the human world. His concealment domain brings him close, his protective demonic power destroys Xue Feng's counterattack, and repeated Stygian Saber strikes exhaust the human's defensive treasure. Even when Meng Chuan reveals himself as a distraction, Yellow Oscillate completes the killing blow before withdrawing on his self-imposed timetable. The murder makes the later masked-Godfiend ambush personal for Meng Chuan, but Yellow Oscillate does not know the target's identity when he agrees to operate the Imperial Lords' formation. Yellow Oscillate, North Sense, and Longswim wait underground with the Three Terminal Formation until Meng Chuan enters its boundary. Yellow Oscillate supplies a Stygian Saber assault while the formation blocks escape and Longswim coordinates its Great Destruction Rays. Meng Chuan survives, kills Longswim and North Sense's avatar, and pursues Yellow Oscillate after the formation collapses. Yellow Oscillate stages an outer-realm escape, abandons his fifth Firmament body, and hides his Essence Soul in a grotto-heaven bead with a third Firmament leopard vessel. Qin Wu finds the bead, rejects his offer of intelligence, and destroys the final possessed body, making him the first demon sage killed in the human world. (Chapters 352–364)

Appearance and personality

In the human world, Yellow Oscillate primarily appears as a handsome, fair-skinned man in yellow robes with cold eyes. Human dossiers describe his natural demon form as having two horns and black scales, but the possession body conceals those traits and is not his original appearance. During his last escape he shifts again into a yellow-furred leopard demon monarch stored inside a small grotto-heaven. These bodies are successive vessels for the same demon sage Essence Soul, not freely interchangeable combat avatars. (Chapters 300, 338–340, 362)

Yellow Oscillate is confident, bloodthirsty, and more cautious than his rhetoric initially suggests. He openly welcomes a world where factional protections no longer prevent him from killing useful prey, yet he plans fixed time limits, multiple connection points, and retreat routes before acting. He remains calm when Meng Chuan pursues him and tries several layered escapes rather than fighting pointlessly. His final plea to exchange secrets for life shows that survival takes precedence over pride once Qin Wu reveals the last hiding place. (Chapters 300, 338–340, 353–362)

Abilities and cultivation

Possession, recovery, and physical strength

Yellow Oscillate enters through possession because the World Entrances cannot accommodate his demon sage body. The new vessel reaches the fourth Firmament soon after arrival and later the fifth, while his late-stage Grotto-Heaven technique realm and demon sage experience remain available. At that stage his head-on strength approaches King True Martial's, and his protective demonic power, robe, and hardened body can withstand Bloodblade attacks comparable to a weak Creation-realm strike. He nevertheless expects full demon sage recovery to take many years and never reaches it before death. (Chapters 300, 338–340, 361–362)

Possession preserves knowledge and Essence Soul but constrains the body's energy and access. He needs time to break world membranes, cannot simply enter the World Gap after returning to demon sage strength, and regards human Creation Supremacies as fatal threats. His last shift into a third Firmament leopard vessel greatly reduces combat capacity and exists only as an escape contingency. Qin Wu's detection and immediate execution establish the latest state: the Essence Soul does not return to an unseen original body, and Yellow Oscillate is confirmed dead. (Chapters 338, 361–364)

Stygian Saber Art

The Stygian Saber Art converts Yellow Oscillate's saber strike into a turbid underworld river carrying an aura of death. He states that killing sufficiently strong experts and absorbing the Death Aura they leave behind makes the art more terrifying; weak victims provide too little nourishment. The attack affects body and Essence Soul, destroys Xue Feng after his defensive treasure is exhausted, and reaches ordinary Creation-realm force at close range despite the user's fifth Firmament vessel. Its repeated use is Yellow Oscillate's own technique, independent of the Three Terminal Formation. (Chapters 338–340, 359–361)

The art loses force with distance and cannot reliably touch an opponent hidden in the deep void. Meng Chuan feels its death aura from afar but evades the saber river, while the formation ambush fails because its combined attacks must first shatter the void and dissipate most of their power. Yellow Oscillate can block Bloodblades with his saber and defensive demonic power, but doing so cuts his flight speed. His latest use remains at the late Grotto-Heaven technique level, with no Heaven Earth advancement shown. (Chapters 340, 359–362)

Concealment, membranes, and escape

Yellow Oscillate's domain conceals his aura well enough to approach a guarded city through the void, while his accumulated experience lets him observe world-membrane connection points and choose routes far from human reinforcements. When cornered, he uses Burning Blood Avatar Escape to divide into twenty-eight apparent bodies; only one is real, and the others are destroyed by Meng Chuan's Bloodblades. He can also burn the possessed body for speed and cut a rift into the outer realm, but interference makes the opening slow enough for a pursuer to track the location. (Chapters 338–340, 361–362)

The outer-realm flight is a feint. Yellow Oscillate sends the visible fifth Firmament body out to die while moving his Essence Soul into a small hidden grotto-heaven and possessing a weaker leopard body. The plan depends on Meng Chuan leaving before the bead moves; when Meng Chuan remains and Qin Wu sweeps the area, the hiding place is exposed. This representative failure shows that his survival methods are clever but sequential, costly, and vulnerable to an expert who questions the apparent escape. (Chapter 362)

Three Terminal Formation

The Three Terminal Formation is an Imperial Lord-supplied assassination treasure, not Yellow Oscillate's innate power. Longswim serves as the primary operator, while Yellow Oscillate and North Sense supply demonic power and simultaneous personal attacks. Once activated, the formation blocks world power, spacetime escape, communication, and karmic detection, then condenses Great Destruction Rays. Its combined isolation and killing force is designed to make rescue impossible before a trapped Regis Godfiend dies. (Chapters 353–360)

The substitute bodies cannot produce the formation's full demon sage-level strength. Meng Chuan hides in the deep void, forcing the Great Destruction Rays to spend most of their power shattering space before reaching his defensive treasure. Killing Longswim and North Sense's avatar leaves Yellow Oscillate unable to maintain or dismantle the formation, which is then lost to humanity. Yellow Oscillate's Stygian Saber remains dangerous throughout, but the isolation, Great Destruction Rays, and external suppression belong to the formation and its three operators collectively. Relationships

Meng Chuan: Yellow Oscillate kills Xue Feng before Meng Chuan can intervene, then later ambushes the masked Meng Chuan without recognizing him. Meng Chuan breaks the formation, prevents his escape, and enables Qin Wu to find his final vessel.
Xue Feng: The young human expert Yellow Oscillate deliberately chooses as his first major victim. His death demonstrates the Stygian Saber Art's force and creates the grievance that shapes Meng Chuan's pursuit.
Demon Sage Nine Abyss: The commander who receives Yellow Oscillate after possession and later organizes the assassination plan. Yellow Oscillate shares strategic discussions with him but retains discretion over his own hunting and preparation.
Demon Sage North Sense: A fellow infiltrator and formation assistant. North Sense supplies illusions and an avatar during the ambush, while Yellow Oscillate provides the principal head-on attack.
Demon Sage Deep Profundity and Demon Sage Fire Dragon: Later possession arrivals whom Yellow Oscillate welcomes into the human-world command group. They do not participate in his final formation battle.

Three Terminal Formation: An Imperial Lord-level formation supplied for the masked-Godfiend assassination and operated by Yellow Oscillate's three-demon team. It isolates the battlefield and produces Great Destruction Rays, but is abandoned and lost after its operators fall.
Small grotto-heaven bead: Yellow Oscillate's final escape cache, containing a third Firmament leopard body for possession. Qin Wu locates the hidden bead and takes control of it; the corpus does not describe its disposition after Yellow Oscillate's execution.
Unnamed saber and robe: Yellow Oscillate uses an unnamed saber for the Stygian Saber Art and a resilient robe over his possessed body. Neither is given a separate title or clear postmortem custody.
