Lady Blackmoon
Lady Blackmoon is one of the three Demon Realm Imperial Lords who direct the invasion of Archean Eon Realm. Alongside Imperial Lord Starquix and Emperor Roc, she evaluates human defenses, approves deployments, and treats Ancestral Master Archean Eon's inheritance as the opportunity that might let her advance beyond an ordinary Imperial Lord. Her strategic patience sustains the war after its first mass assault fails, but her cultivation never catches up to Meng Chuan, who ultimately captures her outer-realm true body and kills every connected manifestation through karma. (Chapters 281–623)
Biography
The decisive war and outer realm
Blackmoon enters the conflict as an established Imperial Lord who has only recently awakened when the demons' million-monarch offensive is delayed. She questions the postponement, accepts Starquix's explanation that secrecy has already failed, and approves overwhelming attrition as the replacement strategy. After humanity awakens ancient Regis Godfiends, she favors waiting out their limited remaining lifespans while applying intermittent pressure. Her goal is not merely victory for the Demon Realm: she openly anticipates claiming Archean Eon's accumulated treasures, which she sees as the greatest advancement opportunity available to the three rulers. (Chapters 281–298)
Meng Chuan's underground campaign turns Blackmoon's confidence into a series of increasingly expensive countermeasures. She agrees to deploy the Three Terminal Formation, supports Starquix's lifespan-consuming curse once Meng Chuan is identified, and helps authorize Nine Abyss's follow-up assassination with the Eye of the Dark Realm. When these measures fail, she does not reconsider the invasion; instead, she presses for plans on every front because delay might allow humanity's inheritance to produce another unexpected defender. Her cold dismissal of failed subordinates and her contempt for the civilians whom Liu Qiyue sacrifices lifespan to save show that this persistence is grounded in conquest, not responsibility for those the war consumes. (Chapters 353–406, 478)
As the war shifts to the World Gap, Blackmoon contributes threat assessment rather than a personal battlefield technique. She questions whether proposed operatives have enough offensive power, approves the combined deployment of Monarch Peacock, Holy Lady Strings, and the Eighteen Black River Guard, and recognizes defensive arrays as a possible answer to Meng Chuan's deep-void movement. Their defeat makes her prioritize mapping connection points and sealing the void, while the eventual demon-sage passageway renews her hopes for a direct breakthrough. Even then, she warns that Meng Chuan will have homeworld treasures and prepared arrays, but her caution remains subordinate to the belief that Archean Eon's legacy is worth almost any factional cost. (Chapters 442–465, 514–535)
The final reversal reaches both of Blackmoon's true bodies. Meng Chuan finds her outer-realm body cultivating on a barren planet and overwhelms it before she can resist; her Demon Realm body then seeks Roc's protection after learning the captive body can serve as a karmic medium. When Roc admits that no one present can stop a Fifth Tribulation attack, Blackmoon first searches for another motive and then kneels at the demon-sage passageway to beg for terms. Meng Chuan instead sends an illusion through karma into every manifestation before saber beams destroy the captive body and all avatars. A later account confirms her death across the inhabited-world barrier, leaving no surviving body, avatar, or demonstrated path to revival. (Chapters 559–560, 623)
Appearance and personality
Blackmoon is a woman distinguished by three white scales between her eyebrows. The corpus most often presents her seated with the other Imperial Lords in an Ice Palace or watching operations from the Demon Realm; it does not describe a natural-species form, battle transformation, signature weapon, or armor. Her outer-realm true body is shown cultivating alone on a barren planet suited to her practice, but its visible appearance is not separately distinguished from the body in the Demon Realm. (Chapters 281, 298, 442, 560)
Her speech is soft or composed even when her judgments are ruthless. Blackmoon favors patient pressure when time appears to benefit the demons, dismisses commanders who lose irreplaceable resources, and rapidly changes tactics when Meng Chuan invalidates an assumption. She is also ambitious and status-conscious: once Roc approaches the Tribulation realm, she flatters him because his protection and access to Archean Eon's inheritance may be her only route forward. That controlled pragmatism collapses only when Meng Chuan's karmic reach makes survival impossible, at which point she pleads rather than maintain the indifference she showed toward human victims. (Chapters 298, 364, 456, 474, 478, 560)
Abilities and cultivation
Blackmoon is an ordinary demon Imperial Lord whose demonstrated strengths are longevity, multiple complete bodies, and strategic authority over the Demon Realm's forces. The corpus establishes her cultivation level and vulnerability more clearly than any personal combat style. It never names her bloodline, ultimate technique, domain, divine power, or weapon, so those mechanics remain unknown rather than being inferred from her title or physical features. (Chapters 281–560)
Imperial Lord cultivation and bodies
Blackmoon remains at the Heaven Earth realm's middle stage while Roc advances to the perfected stage and then into the Tribulation realm. As an Imperial Lord, she has a body in the Demon Realm and a corporeal avatar operating in the outer realm; the narrative treats the latter as an independently complete true body rather than a temporary illusion or projection. The outer body can cultivate where laws are clearer than inside an inhabited world, but no later breakthrough is shown. Her latest confirmed cultivation therefore remains ordinary Imperial Lord level. (Chapters 468, 474, 559–560)
Multiple bodies preserve an Imperial Lord from an ordinary local death, but they remain joined by karma. Once Meng Chuan captures Blackmoon's outer-realm body, he uses that complete body as a particularly strong medium: his illusion descends on her Demon Realm manifestation and other avatars, and his subsequent saber attack annihilates them all despite the separation between worlds. This outcome demonstrates a specific counter to her life-preservation structure, not a general inability to maintain avatars. The corpus confirms no hidden surviving body or posthumous recovery. (Chapters 559–560, 623)
Strategic command and judgment
Blackmoon helps govern a war spread across two worlds through councils, intelligence reports, prepared formations, and delegated specialists. She identifies the lifespan limitation of humanity's awakened Regis Godfiends, questions the offensive limitations of proposed demon teams, recommends fixed arrays as counters to void infiltration, and participates in deciding when to spend inherited Demon Realm resources. These are applications of experience and command authority; the corpus does not establish supernatural foresight or remote omniscience. Her plans depend on Starquix's array and karmic expertise, Roc's mobility and higher combat power, and reports from field commanders. (Chapters 298, 353–364, 397–406, 442–465)
That coordination has clear limits. Blackmoon repeatedly works from incomplete intelligence, cannot personally cross the world barrier to correct a failing operation, and has to rely on subordinates whose goals may diverge from the Imperial Lords' orders. Her warnings about Meng Chuan's preparations are accurate, but she cannot produce a counter once he outgrows every estimate. At the end, neither rank nor command resources supply a defense against a Fifth Tribulation Essence Soul cultivator acting through a captured true body. (Chapters 455–465, 474, 514–560)

Relationships
- Imperial Lord Starquix: Blackmoon's fellow ruler and frequent planning partner. She supports the compensation required for his Nine-Day Prayer, relies on his array and karmic expertise, and faces execution beside him after both outer-realm bodies are captured.
- Emperor Roc: The strongest of the three Imperial Lords. Blackmoon initially treats him as a peer, then increasingly relies on his mobility, bloodline, and Tribulation advancement; when Meng Chuan captures her, Roc is the protector she approaches but cannot save her.
- Meng Chuan: The human defender who invalidates Blackmoon's attrition and invasion strategies. She repeatedly approves operations intended to kill him, while he ultimately captures her outer-realm true body and destroys all her manifestations through karma.
- Liu Qiyue: A human defender whose Phoenix Nirvana stops a Demon Realm operation. Blackmoon's contempt for Qiyue spending lifespan to save civilians exposes the moral divide between the invasion's rulers and the people resisting them.
Items
