Hall Lord White Avian

Hall Lord White Avian is one of the two cultivators who dominate the River of Spacetime when Meng Chuan enters its highest circles. A Physical Body Seventh Tribulation Eminence who has fully grasped time and space, he builds White Avian Hall into a leading faction while leaving most daily administration to trusted subordinates. His restrained manner conceals both a terminal Essence Soul injury and a willingness to spend his remaining opportunities, wealth, and cultivation time to cultivate a successor and stop Celestial Thearch Myriad Star. (Chapters 638–753)

Biography

A wounded leader chooses a successor

When Meng Chuan first learns of White Avian, the hall lord and Myriad Star are the era's two half-step Eighth Tribulation Eminences, rivals whose control of time and space places them above ordinary Seventh Tribulation cultivators. White Avian seldom manages his faction's routine affairs, but his authority supports a large organization with several Seventh Tribulation partners and unusually capable half-step Seventh Tribulation members. His quiet leadership is rooted in longstanding ties: Manor Lord Centaurea aided him when he was still insignificant, and Lord of Shadowfiend has fought beside him since they were weak. (Chapters 638–643, 684–686)

That public supremacy hides a narrowing future. While traveling beyond the universe with a friendly Eighth Tribulation Eminence, White Avian fights an Essence Soul Eighth Tribulation enemy. Power from that enemy enters one true body and crosses into the body protected by his homeworld, staining the white-bird projection of his Essence Soul with wriggling black marks. He can still fight close to his peak, but constant pain shortens his useful life and will eventually weaken his body. After Realm Ancestor cannot remove the corruption, White Avian accepts that only his own Eighth Tribulation advancement, an Essence Soul Eighth Tribulation cultivator, or an Eternal existence can cure him. (Chapters 641–642)

Realm Ancestor's report about Meng Chuan gives White Avian a possible answer to both his faction's future and his injury. He immediately creates a place for the young Essence Soul cultivator in the Valley of Spacetime, then personally meets him after Meng Chuan's talent becomes public. White Avian grants Librarian-level access and gives him three rare Essence Soul treasures on the promise that no future request will violate Meng Chuan's principles. His future sight shows that Meng Chuan is worth more to him than an established Essence Soul Seventh Tribulation Eminence, but the investment is not disinterested: White Avian knows that Meng Chuan has a small chance of becoming the healer he cannot otherwise find. (Chapters 642–686)

Patronage and opposition to Myriad Star

White Avian's support continues after Meng Chuan becomes an Essence Soul Seventh Tribulation Eminence. He invites Meng Chuan into the small operational core of White Avian Hall, encourages him to treat the Eighth Tribulation realm as a real objective, and helps him claim resources suited to multiple Essence Soul avatars. This relationship differs from White Avian Hall's looser alliances: Meng Chuan has accepted personal gifts and responsibility, while White Avian treats his development as part of the faction's future rather than merely another source of credit. Their trust makes Myriad Star's later attempt to buy Meng Chuan's neutrality ineffective. (Chapters 684–686, 711–717)

At the same time, White Avian and Realm Ancestor investigate the unexplained destruction of middle-level worlds. White Avian's spacetime attainments cannot recover the concealed past, but he and Realm Ancestor identify a repeated correlation: Myriad Star's outer-realm true body disappears whenever a world is consumed. When Realm Ancestor convenes the era's leading cultivators, White Avian publicly confirms the evidence, swears that he is not responsible, and challenges Myriad Star to make the same karmically binding oath. Myriad Star refuses and leaves, allowing the assembled factions to judge the accusation even without a recovered scene of the attacks. (Chapters 724–726)

Exposure does not stop Myriad Star. When another controlled forbidden creature consumes Meng Sha Realm, White Avian seals the surrounding spacetime so that Myriad Star cannot teleport to the creature or recover most of the plunder. He contests Myriad Star's domain while Meng Chuan and Realm Ancestor capture the attacker and its cargo. This is an important change in White Avian's role: he is no longer merely balancing a rival faction. He openly uses his strongest control to prevent the rewards of mass killing from reaching the rival who arranged it. (Chapters 732–735)

The world-sealing sacrifice and recovery

When no Eighth Tribulation faction responds to the public evidence, White Avian stops waiting for outside justice. The injury that threatens his life had earned him a single promise of aid from Perfected Lord Crimson Peace, and he spends that promise on an attempt to kill Myriad Star rather than on his own recovery. Crimson Peace captures Myriad Star's outer-realm body, but a Black Fiend Progenitor array fused with the homeworld's natural protections prevents a direct killing blow. White Avian then accepts Crimson Peace's alternative: a world-sealing formation that can imprison Myriad Star only while someone who has mastered spacetime continuously presides over it. (Chapters 736–738)

White Avian understands the cost before agreeing. A Physical Body Tribulation cultivator has only one outer-realm true body, so remaining at the seal prevents that body from traveling, competing for opportunities, or cultivating in more suitable environments. His injury already gives him only tens of thousands of years, yet he rejects Myriad Star's offers of wealth and limited further predation because he expects the rival's appetite to worsen near death. He establishes a cave abode beside the hidden formation and asks Meng Chuan to reach the half-step Eighth Tribulation realm before White Avian's injury makes continued guardianship impossible. (Chapters 738–740)

Meng Chuan returns little more than a century later with complete mastery of time and space. White Avian gladly teaches him to operate the array and recovers his freedom without retreating from the responsibility he accepted; an Essence Soul avatar can maintain the seal without imposing the same cost on Meng Chuan. After Myriad Star is killed, White Avian remains Meng Chuan's friend and ally. When Meng Chuan's Essence Soul later evolves into real spacetime, he repays White Avian's early gamble by expelling the alien corruption from both true bodies and erasing the memory connection through which it could return. Fully healed, White Avian promises to protect Archean Eon Realm if Meng Chuan fails his final tribulation. (Chapters 744–753, 761)

Appearance and personality

White Avian is very thin and usually wears an unadorned gray robe. His restrained, gentle eyes and ordinary presence resemble quiet rocks, streams, and grass rather than the pressure expected from one of the era's strongest beings. When his injury is revealed, he appears pale; behind him, the projection of his Essence Soul takes the form of an enormous white bird whose majestic feathers are marred by moving black spots. The visible corruption is external to his natural form and disappears when Meng Chuan treats it. (Chapters 641–642, 684, 711, 753)

His manner is mild, but his decisions are unusually firm. White Avian delegates daily government, advises rather than commands when possible, and makes his gift to Meng Chuan conditional on never forcing him against his principles. That openness contrasts with Myriad Star's attempt to create an undefined debt. White Avian is also willing to reveal vulnerability to people he trusts: he asks Realm Ancestor for help, tells Lord of Shadowfiend that prolonged combat has become dangerous, and later entrusts Meng Chuan with both the seal and the truth of his shortened life. (Chapters 642, 685–686, 739–740)

The corpus repeatedly frames him as public-spirited rather than merely factional. He does benefit from nurturing Meng Chuan and hopes the younger cultivator can heal him, but he spends his only Eighth Tribulation favor and risks most of his remaining cultivation future to protect worlds outside his own organization. His answer to Myriad Star's attempt at bargaining is not a demand for payment; it is continued confinement. This benevolence has limits—he supports force, exposure, and permanent imprisonment when persuasion would leave inhabited worlds at risk. (Chapters 686, 725–740)

Abilities and cultivation

White Avian is a Physical Body Seventh Tribulation Eminence who has completely grasped the laws of time and space, placing him at the half-step Eighth Tribulation level. His principal strengths are a perfected body, spacetime perception and control, and the strategic use of factional resources. The corpus does not name his body formulation or describe its activation sequence, so its internal mechanics remain unspecified. His latest confirmed state remains half-step Eighth Tribulation, but without the Essence Soul injury that previously limited his lifespan and future. (Chapters 641–643, 737–753)

Physical body and true bodies

As a Physical Body Tribulation cultivator, White Avian has a true body protected in his homeworld and only one true body available to operate in the outer realm. That outer body can fight near the peak of the half-step Eighth Tribulation level and can travel beyond the universe with an Eighth Tribulation companion. The arrangement gives him a secure point of survival but lacks the replaceable, widely distributed avatars of an Essence Soul cultivator. Consequently, any duty that fixes his outer body in one location removes most of his ability to explore, fight, or seek cultivation opportunities elsewhere. (Chapters 641–642, 686, 738–745)

His body has been cultivated to the normal perfection expected at his realm, but he has not created an Eighth Tribulation body formulation or transcended the eighth Physical Body tribulation. The corpus presents that missing formulation as the remaining advancement barrier and never demonstrates a temporary Eighth Tribulation transformation. Even at full combat strength, a true Eighth Tribulation Eminence such as Crimson Peace operates on a decisively higher level. White Avian's latest recovery removes an abnormal impediment; it does not itself advance his body beyond half-step Eighth Tribulation. (Chapters 642, 724, 737, 753)

Spacetime law, perception, and domains

Complete spatial and temporal laws let White Avian perceive distant events, examine past and future possibilities, traverse spacetime, and establish a spacetime domain that suppresses travel. His future sight informs his early investment in Meng Chuan, while his historical inspection helps establish that Myriad Star repeatedly vanishes when worlds are destroyed. In combat around Meng Sha Realm, he seals spacetime so that Myriad Star cannot teleport, then uses his domain to slow the rival and divert treasures. These applications show control, foresight, and denial rather than a single named attack. (Chapters 642, 685–686, 724–726, 733–735)

The perception is powerful but not omniscient. White Avian cannot recover events whose spacetime Myriad Star has concealed, so he must combine absence patterns, testimony, and a karmic oath to expose the crimes. Eighth Tribulation involvement also clouds prediction: Myriad Star does not foresee Crimson Peace's intervention because the senior stands beyond the ordinary River of Spacetime. A peer who has also mastered time and space can contest White Avian's domain, while a true Eighth Tribulation being remains beyond his unaided ability to defeat. (Chapters 724–726, 733–738)

World-sealing array

Perfected Lord Crimson Peace creates the array that seals Myriad Star's homeworld; it is not White Avian's innate technique. The formation fuses with the world's protection, manifests nearly ten thousand chains, isolates the entire world from the outer River of Spacetime, and prevents even a half-step Eighth Tribulation prisoner from sensing or leaving it. White Avian supplies the continuous spacetime-law control needed to operate the formation, while Crimson Peace's retained will discourages other Eighth Tribulation cultivators from dismantling it without accepting conflict with its creator. (Chapters 738–740)

The formation's decisive limitation is its custodian. A cultivator who has mastered complete spacetime must preside over it, and White Avian's single outer-realm body cannot leave while doing so. He therefore trades exploration and much of his cultivation future for containment. When Meng Chuan reaches the same law level, White Avian teaches him the controls and hands over the duty; Meng Chuan can use a replaceable Essence Soul avatar, eliminating the personal bottleneck. White Avian's latest state no longer includes active custody of the array, and the seal ends after Myriad Star's death. (Chapters 739–748)

Essence Soul injury and treatment

White Avian's principal limitation originates in a battle beyond the universe. An enemy Essence Soul Eighth Tribulation Eminence corrupts one true body with Power of Essence Soul; because White Avian knows and remembers the attacker, the power travels through thought and karma to his protected body as well. White Avian can suppress the black contamination and preserve close-to-peak combat strength, but not remove it. The constant pain spreads over time, reduces a normal long lifespan to roughly several tens of thousands of useful years, and will eventually weaken his physical body enough to end any chance of transcending the eighth tribulation. (Chapters 641–642)

Meng Chuan can cure him only after becoming an Essence Soul Eighth Tribulation lifeform. His own Power of Essence Soul enters both of White Avian's bodies through the same karmic and mental channels, displacing the older, source-less corruption. Complete treatment also removes White Avian's clear memory of the enemy; retaining that knowledge would leave a connection through which the hostile power could infiltrate again. The cure is therefore effective but carries a precise informational cost. The latest corpus evidence establishes full physical and Essence Soul recovery, not immunity to every future Essence Soul attack. (Chapter 753)

Leadership and patronage

White Avian's power as a faction leader rests partly on judgment and delegation. He leaves ordinary administration to Blazing Sun, relies on Azure Dragon and Lord of Shadowfiend for conflict, and supports partners who retain their own factions. With Meng Chuan, he uses future sight and knowledge of cultivation to provide exactly targeted opportunities: Valley of Spacetime access, unrestricted use of the hall's library, and three rare Essence Soul resources acquired outside the universe. These choices strengthen White Avian Hall without requiring White Avian to personally manage every operation. (Chapters 642–645, 684–686, 711–712)

His patronage has explicit limits and costs. The three gifts establish karma between him and Meng Chuan, but White Avian promises not to demand an act that violates Meng Chuan's principles. The items are useless to White Avian's own Physical Body path and are given because they may help produce an Essence Soul Eighth Tribulation ally. The gamble succeeds, yet the corpus makes clear that White Avian could only improve the odds; Meng Chuan's breakthroughs, formulations, and final treatment remain Meng Chuan's own accomplishments. (Chapters 685–686, 702–710, 753)

Relationships

  • Meng Chuan: White Avian recruits, sponsors, and advises Meng Chuan, initially hoping that his rare potential may yield an Essence Soul Eighth Tribulation healer. Their relationship becomes reciprocal when Meng Chuan takes over Myriad Star's seal and later cures White Avian completely.
  • Realm Ancestor: An older friend and adviser whom White Avian trusts with knowledge of his injury. Realm Ancestor recommends Meng Chuan, joins White Avian in investigating the destroyed worlds, and publicly supports the accusation against Myriad Star.
  • Celestial Thearch Myriad Star: White Avian's peer, factional rival, and eventual existential enemy. He helps expose Myriad Star's predation, obstructs his recovery of Meng Sha Realm's treasures, and sacrifices his Eighth Tribulation favor and freedom of movement to confine him.
  • Manor Lord Centaurea: A benefactor who helped White Avian while he was still insignificant. The corpus establishes the early aid but does not detail the specific opportunity or its conditions.
  • Lord of Shadowfiend: White Avian's lifelong friend and early comrade. After learning that White Avian can no longer sustain prolonged battle, Shadowfiend agrees to accelerate his own breakthrough and shoulder more of the faction's difficult work.
  • Perfected Lord Crimson Peace: The Eighth Tribulation ally whose single promised intervention White Avian spends against Myriad Star. Crimson Peace cannot penetrate the protected homeworld, but creates the formation that makes permanent confinement possible.

Items

  • Black Book of Three Thousand Illusory Arrays: An unnamed black book obtained outside the universe and personally given to Meng Chuan. Its three thousand arrays train illusion and Essence Soul World structure; it is not useful to White Avian's Physical Body path.
  • Cyan Heaven-Splitting Insight Fruit: An unnamed cyan fruit that White Avian gives Meng Chuan before the seventh Heavenly Tribulation. Consuming it lets a wisp of Essence Soul observe universe-creation scenes associated with Heaven Splitting.
  • Six-Part Spacetime Mystic Treasure: An unnamed silver cube composed of six Eighth Tribulation spacetime mystic treasures. White Avian transfers it as both a powerful composite treasure and a study model for time and space.
