History

A personal gift becomes a working combat theory

Hall Lord White Avian gives the black book to Meng Chuan as one of three rare Essence Soul treasures whose combined value he estimates at twenty million cubes. When Meng opens it, a message states that an Essence Soul Eighth Tribulation Eminence may become the creator's disciple by breaking all 3,000 arrays. Meng takes six hours to crack the first illusory world and six and a half months to crack the second, but cannot understand the third at his current realm. (Chapters 684–685 and 688–690)

The book's value grows as Meng's cultivation advances. He draws on its array principles to reconstruct his Essence Soul World and to turn the Myriad Tribulations Chaos Hole Array into his own Chaos Hole Heaven Splitting Array.
