Celestial Thearch Myriad Star is a half-step Eighth Tribulation ruler and the principal antagonist of Meng Chuan's late outer-realm life. Publicly, he is one of the River of Spacetime's two supreme contemporaries and the leader around whom Six Directions Heaven is organized. Secretly, frustration with his stalled Eighth Tribulation path drives him to enslave forbidden creatures, erase inhabited worlds, and trade the plunder for an Eternal formulation. His future sight, diplomacy, and homeworld defenses delay judgment, but they cannot overcome the combined opposition of Realm Ancestor, Hall Lord White Avian, and Meng Chuan. (Chapters 638–749)

Biography

Rival supremacy and concealed predation

When Meng Chuan first hears of Myriad Star, the celestial thearch and White Avian are the era's two cultivators who have fully grasped time and space. Their rival factions compete throughout the River of Spacetime, while many lesser Eminences avoid provoking either leader because a half-step Eighth Tribulation cultivator is extraordinarily difficult to kill. Myriad Star rarely involves himself in routine Six Directions Heaven operations; his subordinates understand that when he personally interferes, the issue is strategically important. His reputation therefore combines remote authority, apparent composure, and the threat of overwhelming intervention. (Chapters 638–643, 650, 711–713)

Behind that position, Myriad Star believes his own cultivation has nearly exhausted its natural prospects. He has not created an Eighth Tribulation body formulation and judges that he will probably die before completing one. Rather than accept that limit, he captures the Life Cores of Seventh Tribulation forbidden creatures and orders them to devour aging middle-level worlds whose ancestors left rich treasuries. He conceals the surrounding spacetime, kills surviving outer-realm bodies through karma, and collects the stolen inheritances. By the time his scheme becomes central to the story, more than a hundred inhabited worlds and all their residents have been erased. (Chapters 715–716, 724)

Myriad Star knows the attacks violate a fundamental taboo, so patience and plausible deniability are part of the plan. He targets declining worlds first, avoids publicly purchasing the Life Cores that could connect him to Fiend Mountain's owner, and relies on the difficulty of waking Eighth Tribulation authorities. He also tries to reduce future resistance. After Meng Chuan becomes an Essence Soul Seventh Tribulation Eminence, Myriad Star arrives through an embodiment and offers him the valuable World Loop first for limited neutrality and then merely for friendship. Meng Chuan reads the undefined karmic debt as manipulation and refuses, leaving Myriad Star's predicted future threat intact. (Chapters 715–717)

Exposure, sacrifice, and escalation

Success makes Myriad Star less restrained. Finding that old worlds yield too little, he chooses young Deer Celestial Realm because the treasures of its recently deceased half-step Eighth Tribulation ancestor should remain largely intact. The attack produces an enormous harvest, but it also gives Realm Ancestor the provocation needed to gather the era's leading Eminences. When accused, Myriad Star proposes an unknown forbidden creature as the culprit, dismisses the repeated disappearance of his own outer body as coincidence, and refuses White Avian's challenge to swear a karmic oath. He leaves without confessing, but the refusal confirms the assembled cultivators' suspicions and turns private investigation into public opposition. (Chapters 724–726)

Myriad Star responds by offering three billion cubes of plunder to Black Fiend Progenitor. In return he obtains the second volume of Bloodline, an Eternal formulation whose first volume had helped him understand forbidden-creature devouring. He asks for further protection and learns that a Chaos overlord's Origins Blood could push his body close to the Eighth Tribulation level, but the price requires billions more. Black Fiend Progenitor presents the offer as survival and advancement; Myriad Star sees a last path around his stalled formulation and therefore has a direct incentive to continue harvesting worlds even after exposure. Study under accelerated time brings less progress than Myriad Star hoped. His response is to select Meng Sha Realm, a still-rich world whose ancestor had formed an Eighth Tribulation body but failed the final tribulation. He conceals the region and sends another controlled forbidden creature, expecting enough treasure to purchase the Origins Blood. Meng Chuan and Realm Ancestor arrive just after the world is consumed; White Avian seals spacetime, preventing Myriad Star from reaching his subordinate. Myriad Star orders the creature to scatter the treasure and self-destruct, but Meng Chuan's array survives and captures most of the plunder while White Avian contests Myriad Star's domain. Even with the scheme now exposed in action, Myriad Star treats the loss as a reason to threaten rather than stop. He warns Meng Chuan that retaining the treasure will bring calamity and continues denying direct responsibility. The confrontation shows both his remaining leverage and its limits: he can conceal spacetime and command a dangerous creature, but peers working together can prevent escape, seize the proceeds, and make further attacks costly. His earlier policy of cultivating friendships also leaves several factions reluctant to call an Eighth Tribulation patron against him, buying him time but not restoring his public legitimacy. Confinement and death

White Avian eventually spends his sole favor from Perfected Lord Crimson Peace on killing Myriad Star. The Eighth Tribulation cultivator tears through Myriad Star's cave-abode defenses, breaks the miniature-universe stellar formation, and captures his outer body in two moves. Myriad Star immediately begs White Avian for mercy, but his homeworld body activates a Black Fiend Progenitor array that fuses with the world's natural protection. When Crimson Peace cannot penetrate it, Myriad Star refuses a final offer to swear off consuming inhabited worlds and uses a Bloodline technique to destroy the body held in Crimson Peace's palm. His decision preserves one body but convinces his enemies that promises made under pressure will not contain him. (Chapters 736–738)

Crimson Peace instead seals Myriad Star's entire homeworld behind nearly ten thousand chains, with White Avian continuously operating the formation. Myriad Star tries bargaining—offering wealth, oaths protecting White Avian's interests, and even permission to devour only a few more worlds—but never abandons predation entirely. Once the seal closes, he cannot sense the outer River of Spacetime or travel beyond the world membrane. He reframes imprisonment as seclusion, devours his last two servant Life Cores to improve his bloodline talent, and concentrates on creating an Eighth Tribulation body strong enough to break free. When Meng Chuan takes over the seal, Myriad Star realizes that attrition no longer favors him. An Essence Soul avatar can guard the formation without sacrificing Meng Chuan's cultivation, and the younger half-step Eighth Tribulation cultivator has time to outlast him. Myriad Star threatens to destroy his opponents' homeworlds if he escapes and continues working on his body formulation, but makes no confirmed breakthrough. His past future sight had correctly identified Meng Chuan as an obstruction, yet acting early did not prevent the future; his attacks gave White Avian the reason to construct the prison that Meng Chuan could maintain indefinitely. Meng Chuan ultimately asks Fiend Mountain's owner to end the threat. The Eighth Tribulation owner passes through both Crimson Peace's seal and the protected world without disturbing either, extracts Myriad Star's two bodies, and annihilates them together. Myriad Star's devouring of Life Cores supplies an additional reason for the intervention: the forbidden creatures in the Chaos Turbid River are Fiend Mountain's owner's cultivated prey. Myriad Star therefore dies through the conjunction of two choices—destroying inhabited worlds for treasure and consuming resources claimed by a power he had deliberately tried not to alert. Appearance and personality

Myriad Star often manifests as an old, gray-robed farmer, an appearance whose simplicity contrasts with his title and reach. In private, he sits in a dark hall with eyes described as deep, cold, or unfathomable; the corpus does not supply a single more detailed description of his natural body. He also sends blurry embodiments that carry his voice and personality without exposing a true body. During his final confinement, his face pales when Meng Chuan replaces White Avian at the seal, making visible the despair that his courteous public form usually conceals. He is patient, strategic, and highly responsive to leverage. Myriad Star studies future possibilities, keeps his true involvement deniable, cultivates friendships before he needs them, and offers Meng Chuan a gift whose undefined obligation could constrain a future opponent. He can appear warm and generous while calculating the recipient's usefulness. The mask drops whenever power shifts: he pleads instantly before Crimson Peace, refuses an oath once he realizes his homeworld is safe from direct entry, and moves from negotiation to threats when Meng Chuan assumes permanent control of the seal. His central motive is fear of dying below the Eighth Tribulation realm, intensified by awareness that his body formulation is not progressing fast enough. This pressure does not remove agency. Myriad Star explicitly recognizes that destroying inhabited worlds is taboo, calculates how much killing Eighth Tribulation authorities will overlook, and continues because plunder is faster than ordinary accumulation. Success expands his appetite from declining worlds to young ones, and even permanent confinement cannot make him renounce further predation. Abilities and cultivation

Myriad Star is a Physical Body Seventh Tribulation Eminence who has fully grasped the spatial and temporal laws, making him a half-step Eighth Tribulation cultivator. His system combines a powerful body, spacetime perception and control, stellar defenses, forbidden-creature Life Cores, and knowledge from the Eternal Bloodline formulation. He never completes an Eighth Tribulation body formulation, never transcends the eighth Heavenly Tribulation, and is deceased at the end of his sourced arc. (Chapters 638–643, 715–716, 724–748)

Physical body and stellar defense

Like other Physical Body cultivators at his level, Myriad Star maintains one true body in his homeworld and one outer-realm true body. The protected body allows survival when the outer one is destroyed, but the outer body is his sole independent actor in the wider River of Spacetime. His half-step Eighth Tribulation body and domain place him beyond ordinary Seventh Tribulation opponents, yet the corpus repeatedly distinguishes that strength from a genuine Eighth Tribulation physique. Myriad Star's inability to create a complete personal formulation is the bottleneck driving his search for external transformation. (Chapters 638–640, 716, 724, 737–740)

When Crimson Peace attacks, tens of thousands of small stars gather around Myriad Star and form a defensive miniature universe that isolates him from outside power. The effect is an active stellar array rather than proof that Myriad Star's body itself is a miniature universe. It can resist ordinary contemporaries, but Crimson Peace shatters it with one collision and captures him on the next motion. Spacetime law and future sight

Complete time and space laws let Myriad Star traverse vast distances, conceal regions from ordinary observation, inspect past and future possibilities, and project domains that contest White Avian's. He uses concealment to hide a forbidden creature's approach and the karmic elimination of a world's surviving cultivators; even Realm Ancestor cannot reconstruct the covered events afterward. His future sight identifies Meng Chuan as likely to reach the half-step Eighth Tribulation realm, motivating early efforts to bind or neutralize him. The law has important counters. White Avian can seal the same spacetime and prevent Myriad Star from teleporting, forcing him to fly through a contested domain while an operation fails. Events involving a true Eighth Tribulation cultivator are not reliably visible in advance, which is why Crimson Peace's arrival surprises him. The final formation isolates his homeworld so completely that he cannot sense the outside despite his mastery, and Meng Chuan's later custody removes any practical prospect of winning through time. Future sight offers possible outcomes and strategic warning; it does not compel other people's choices or reveal every higher-level intervention. (Chapters 733–739, 744–745)

Life Core enslavement and world predation

Myriad Star obtains eight Seventh Tribulation forbidden-creature Life Cores. Possession of a Life Core gives him control over the corresponding creature's survival and consciousness: he can order it to devour a world, command self-destruction, and later let the core rebuild the body. A servant must remain in the same river zone as its Life Core, so Myriad Star brings the core and his dark hall near each target. He stores at least one servant in a damaged cup between missions, then conceals spacetime and watches the attack while the creature returns the world's treasures to him. (Chapters 715–716, 724, 732–735)

The arrangement separates function efficiently. The creature's innate talent penetrates a middle-level world's protection and swallows it, while Myriad Star uses karma to kill outer-realm survivors and remove evidence. Its limits are equally clear: monitoring can expose the concealed region, Essence Soul cultivators can capture or suppress the creature, and losing the Life Core prevents Myriad Star from freely restoring that servant. White Avian's spacetime seal also stops him from recovering scattered spoils. The system kills whole worlds but does not make Myriad Star personally capable of devouring them with his body. Bloodline formulation and devoured talents

Myriad Star acquires the Eternal Bloodline formulation through sacrifices to Black Fiend Progenitor. The first volume explains principles behind forbidden creatures becoming stronger through consumption, allowing him to develop a formulation that absorbs part of a Life Core's talent into his own body. He devours five of his eight cores before the final campaign and consumes the last two after imprisonment, leaving one lost to Crimson Peace. The precise talents obtained from each core are not enumerated in the corpus, so only the demonstrated partial improvement—not specific invented powers—can be attributed to them. The second volume costs part of a three-billion-cube sacrifice and is studied for centuries under tenfold accelerated time. It answers questions from the first volume but proves too profound for rapid mastery, reinforcing Myriad Star's sense that his lifespan is insufficient. Black Fiend Progenitor offers a Chaos overlord's Origins Blood that could force his body close to the Eighth Tribulation level and serve as a possible formulation model, but Myriad Star never obtains it. Homeworld protection and life-preservation methods

Black Fiend Progenitor gives Myriad Star an Eighth Tribulation black-fog array that does not simply block attacks. It fuses its profundities with the universe's natural protection of the inhabited world, increasing the law's complexity beyond Crimson Peace's ability to crack quickly. Because the array and homeworld shelter the remaining body, direct capture of Myriad Star's outer body cannot finish him. A Bloodline-derived life-preservation method also lets that captured body disintegrate even inside Crimson Peace's palm, denying the senior a lasting hostage. (Chapters 737–738)

These defenses are specialized rather than absolute. They stop Crimson Peace's preferred head-on entry and cross-world killing, but they cannot prevent an external formation from sealing the entire world. They also cannot stop a stronger or more comprehensively capable Eighth Tribulation cultivator: Fiend Mountain's owner passes through the seal and world membrane without disturbing either and extracts both bodies at once. Myriad Star's final defense therefore preserves life against one attack profile while converting his homeworld into a prison, and it fails completely against the later intervention. • Hall Lord White Avian: Myriad Star's public peer and principal rival. Their factions compete for years, but the relationship becomes irreconcilable when White Avian helps expose the destroyed worlds, contests the Meng Sha Realm plunder, and spends his Eighth Tribulation favor to imprison him.
• Meng Chuan: A future threat Myriad Star tries to neutralize through generosity and karmic obligation. Meng Chuan refuses the World Loop, helps seize the Meng Sha treasures, takes permanent control of the seal, and finally requests Myriad Star's execution.
• Realm Ancestor: The investigator who detects the abnormal pattern of destroyed worlds and publicly names Myriad Star. Myriad Star dismisses him as an old enemy willing to bear karma, but cannot answer the evidence with a binding oath.
