Kim Yeon

Kim Yeon is one of the seven office workers transported from Earth and the member of the group whose extraordinary consciousness awakens before she has any cultivation. She becomes a specialist in minds, puppets, formations, dreams, and the possibilities created by love. Kim Yeon is not the Mad Lord Jo Yeon: she is his forcibly taken disciple, later opponent, and eventual guide through the memories he buried inside the Wonderfully Mysterious Fortress.

Biography

A consciousness too large to hide

Kim Yeon arrives as a reserved company manager frightened by the group's sudden separation. While still an ordinary mortal, her consciousness spreads outward in threads so vast that Jo Yeon mistakes it for the presence of an upper-realm immortal. She wants to remain with her coworkers and cries when he claims her as a disciple, but neither her refusal nor their intervention can stop the Mad Lord from carrying her away. (Chapters 1–3)

One regression later, Kim and Seo Eun-hyun are captured together inside the Wonderfully Mysterious Fortress. Jo Yeon teaches her the Wonderfully Mysterious Innate Heart Canon and modifies her body while using both prisoners as materials for his puppet world. Kim's raw consciousness gives the method exceptional force: she can control divided threads, read heart language before completing Seo's martial state, and increasingly contest the very fortress meant to imprison her. Her advancement is survival under coercion, not an adoption of her master's identity. (Chapters 140–146)

When an outside attack damages the Fortress, Kim refuses to treat escape as enough. Years of captivity and the Mad Lord's use of Seo as a controllable puppet have turned fear into anger, and she tries to seize the network so Jo cannot repair his false paradise and repeat the same abuse. Her attempt is costly because the alternate spacetime drains energy and life force, yet it establishes her as an actor in her own rescue: she fights her master through the consciousness system he forced her to learn. The practical heart of Wuji

After another cycle brings her out of the Mad Lord's control, Kim enters the Nether Ghost Realm with her formal cultivation far below the scale of her mind. She is confirmed at Nascent Soul while joining Seo's displaced companions, then becomes the Wuji Religious Order's Left Law Protector and practical second-in-command. Rather than measuring her contribution by personal realm alone, she uses administration, puppet bodies, and emotional perception to make a community of ghosts function as people instead of expendable military resources. (Chapters 333–345)

Kim's control network becomes the order's mechanical backbone. She directs puppet forces with Integration-scale reach, links Seo's proclamations through formations across the White Yin Domain, and works with Hong Fan and Yeon Wei on the Realm Annihilation Ground-Shrinking Formation. The system lets Wuji survive pressure from several great factions, but it depends on prepared bodies, circuits, power, and cooperation; Kim's authority over the machinery does not mean that her own cultivation has reached Integration. Her conflict with Buk Hyang-hwa shows the emotional cost of becoming the person who keeps everyone working. Their jealousy and distrust sharpen around their different bonds with Seo, yet Kim does not reduce Buk to a rival. She confronts her, nurses her when she is vulnerable, and continues cooperating during the order's escape. The reconciliation widens Kim's idea of care beyond silently carrying responsibility and forces both women to recognize that affection does not have to be settled as a contest. (Chapters 360–380)

Jo Yeon's memories and her own heart

During the Three Great Disasters, Kim returns to the consciousness of the master who once imprisoned her. She and Seo enter Jo Yeon's memory world not to confuse their identities, but to separate his buried human heart from the Fortress and the madness built around it. There she witnesses the artisan Jo Yeon, his relationship with Wol Ha-eun, and the loss that led him to replace a person with an obedient puppet. Understanding that tragedy does not excuse what he did to Kim. (Chapters 422–451)

Kim sustains the Wonderfully Mysterious Innate Heart Canon inside the unstable memory domain and helps distinguish Wol Ha-eun from Jo's constructed substitute. When Jo finally accepts the Heart of Love, the long puppet play can end without pretending that his replica was the woman he lost. Kim's empathy gives her former master a lucid death and preserves the reality of his love while denying the possessive conclusion that had turned love into captivity. (Chapters 448–455)

The experience also makes Kim confront feelings she has kept beneath competence and restraint. Jo and Wol Ha-eun's marriage, Buk Hyang-hwa's challenges, and Seo's repeated willingness to depart or sacrifice himself all reflect different ways love can be acknowledged or avoided. Kim accepts that desire, grief, and anger belong to her own heart; she no longer speaks only as a caretaker managing other people's damage, but as someone entitled to state what Seo's choices do to her. Vast Cold's successor and the possibilities of love

Much later, Kim is trapped within Bong Myeong's painted world and wagers herself on the belief that Seo can overturn its imposed conclusion. When they reunite, she has awakened an Immortal Art capable of gathering seemingly infinite force into a fingertip. She takes control of a separated fragment world so completely that its machinery, space, and inhabitants respond to her will, then uses that control to reveal hidden intent rather than merely dominate the people inside. (Chapters 601–608)

Kim's sensitivity to minds remains central when the group tries to recover Oh Hye-seo from the seal around her consciousness. She joins Seo and their allies in reaching a person whose identity has been layered beneath manipulation and divine power, applying the same principle learned from Jo Yeon's memories: entry into another heart cannot be treated as permission to rewrite it. The rescue strengthens her role as an interpreter of minds who still recognizes the subject's agency. (Chapters 659–674)

Her bond with Seo eventually includes their daughter Seo Ran, whose fate becomes the center of the Sal Tree conflict. Kim's resolve to accompany Seo creates a painful conflict between romantic loyalty, cosmic responsibility, and motherhood; Kang Min-hee directly challenges her over what departure would do to their child. Kim leaves Seo Ran in the care of someone whose love is equally real, but the choice remains a wound rather than being disguised as effortless sacrifice. (Chapters 700–714)

Against the Sal Tree Heavenly Venerable, Kim uses Full Blossom to amplify her power and link it into the strength of the entire coalition. Her “infinite” becomes meaningful through what it gives others: gunfire carries her force and their shared hearts, while the final Sword God Dance incorporates her will beside the rest of Seo's companions. The battle resolves around accepting Seo Ran's own choices, developing Kim's protective love from deciding a child's fate toward helping that child act within it. (Chapters 715–716)

As the Tridacna Vast Cold Heavenly King, Kim enters the Audience Chamber at Governing Immortal rank. Vast Cold's lingering memory guides her trial, but she answers it in her own terms: life is love and also the possibilities that advance from love. A light-pink flame opens her path, and the seasonal cycle of Vast Cold Heavenly Circle later turns Acceptance at Fate's End into a promise that life can follow even the coldest ending. She inherits a position without becoming a duplicate of its predecessor. (Chapters 783–804)

In the struggle against the Future King, Kim preserves and improves Vast Cold's body, carries the loving heart that joins Seo's companions into his sword, and exposes the fear of connection beneath Hong Fan's authority. The later Earth-side life gives that cosmic identity an ordinary counterpart: she studies in graduate school, works as a teaching assistant, and remains connected to Seo and her old colleagues. Her latest role keeps intellect, affection, and daily responsibility together instead of requiring one to erase the others. (Chapters 789–804, 848, 852, 855, 859)

Appearance and personality

At arrival, Kim is presented as a young office worker whose embarrassment, soft voice, and fear of being separated are more noticeable than any elaborate physical description. In the painted world she appears in light-pink attire, a color later echoed by her intent and flame. Her expressions are often restrained or apparently blank because she perceives emotional information others cannot see; a rare smile consequently carries more meaning than theatrical display. (Chapters 1–3, 344–345, 455, 601, 783–804)

Kim is methodical, emotionally perceptive, and compassionate toward people who can easily be treated as equipment or collateral. She can also make severe tactical decisions, and her quietness sometimes lets responsibility turn into unilateral sacrifice before those closest to her object. Across her captivity, Wuji leadership, conflict with Buk Hyang-hwa, motherhood, and the final battle, she develops from someone frightened of abandonment into someone who treats love as an active power while learning that care must preserve another person's choices. Abilities and cultivation

Kim's power is built around consciousness rather than rapid formal cultivation. Her Heaven-path realm supplies a stable basis, while the Wonderfully Mysterious Innate Heart Canon divides, purifies, accelerates, and extends her mind into puppets, formations, memory domains, and eventually worlds. This creates repeated gaps between what her body has formally attained and what a prepared network lets her command; descriptions of Integration-scale or greater effects therefore do not automatically establish an equal personal realm. Vast consciousness and the Wonderfully Mysterious Innate Heart Canon

Kim's consciousness awakens spontaneously after the expedition arrives. Before she has a spiritual root, it spreads through the surroundings as countless threads and appears immense enough to draw Jo Yeon's attention. His Canon later stabilizes and purifies that consciousness, increases its size relative to cultivators of the same realm, and improves control over separated portions. Once she reaches a realm where consciousness directly empowers techniques, that natural advantage lets her produce effects well above ordinary expectations for her formal cultivation. (Chapters 3, 140–146)

The divided threads support remote perception, simultaneous puppet command, heart-language communication, and the transfer of intent across a formation network. Kim can read heart essence without relying solely on spoken testimony and can place portions of her awareness into constructed bodies or spaces. The method's difficulty is itself a limitation, while strong hearts, hostile consciousness domains, and superior beings can resist, distort, or endanger the connection. Reaching a mind does not guarantee that she can safely control or heal it. (Chapters 143–148, 342–355, 422–455, 517–518)

At her latest demonstrated scale, the same principle extends beyond individual minds. She can saturate a fragment world with her will, communicate its hidden emotional information to others, and maintain linked support during divine battles. These world-scale uses depend on the special domain, machinery, inherited authority, or coalition available in the scene; they are not evidence that her ordinary body can reproduce every effect anywhere without preparation. Puppet engineering and formation command

Kim learns puppet control and construction inside Jo Yeon's Fortress, then turns that imposed education toward protection and civil infrastructure. Within Wuji, she coordinates cursed dolls and higher-grade puppet bodies, provides stable vessels for ghosts, relays orders across a domain, and helps maintain the mechanical force on which the community depends. Her Integration-scale command is a property of consciousness plus networked constructs, not personal Integration cultivation. Destroying the network, exhausting its power, or removing prepared bodies sharply limits that scale. (Chapters 140–148, 333–354)

Her formation work combines her own control circuits with Yeon Wei's instruction, Hong Fan's reversal work, and the resources of the order. The Realm Annihilation Ground-Shrinking Formation performs a sequence of enormous spatial leaps that lets the community escape surrounding powers, but it requires planning, linked operators, suitable power sources, and intact machinery. Kim is therefore both engineer and coordinator: the achievement comes from making several specialists and systems operate as one, not from claiming every component as an innate spell. The craft continues at immortal scale. Kim prepares a true body for Vast Cold, lets the predecessor descend without the ordinary loss of power, and refines that body with the Imperial Throne Circuit so it can contest the Future King's techniques. This is an equipment-and-vessel achievement rather than proof that Kim personally possesses all of Vast Cold's force. It does, however, establish that her latest engineering can optimize a Supreme Deity's vessel while remaining compatible with her consciousness-based support. (Chapters 790, 801)

Heart entry, dream domains, and emotional perception

Kim can enter or stabilize constructed memory worlds through the Wonderfully Mysterious Innate Heart Canon. Inside Jo Yeon's memories, she maintains the connection long enough for buried events and relationships to unfold, accepts the Heart of Love, and helps separate a real person from the puppet made to replace her. The technique does not confer moral certainty or automatic authority over its target. Emotional involvement can wound Kim, and a successful resolution depends on recognition and consent rather than stronger control alone. (Chapters 422–455)

Later descriptions associate her with dreams, painted worlds, and a perception broad enough to read the “consciousness” of environments as well as individuals. Her Earth senses are described as Star-Shattering-or-higher in breadth, but the mechanism of that structural change and its exact range are not fully explained, nor does the statement establish a formal Earth-cultivation realm. Her unusual Four-Axis-level lifespan while still at Heavenly Being is likewise explicit in effect but unexplained in method. (Chapters 485, 492, 601–608)

Full Blossom, infinity, and Vast Cold Heavenly Circle

After surviving the painted world's wager, Kim demonstrates an Immortal Art that concentrates a force described as effectively infinite. Full Blossom applies that principle as amplification and linkage: she presses on the Sal Tree Heavenly Venerable while charging the allied coalition toward its limit, and her power joins Seo's gunfire and sword rather than replacing their separate hearts. Its great scale appears in coordinated transcendent battles; the narrative does not establish that it removes all rank differences, costs, or situational requirements. (Chapters 602–608, 715–716)

As Vast Cold's successor, Kim uses light-pink flame and the Vast Cold Heavenly Circle's four-season cycle. The cycle interprets Spring, Summer, Autumn, and Winter as birth, nurture, maturity, conservation, death, and renewed possibility; Acceptance at Fate's End therefore becomes both an ending and the condition from which another beginning can emerge. This authority helps her open the Audience Chamber trial and confront Hong Fan's fear of connection. Her latest identity remains Kim Yeon, Tridacna Vast Cold Heavenly King—not the prior Vast Cold Heavenly Lord and never Jo Yeon. (Chapters 783–804)

• Seo Eun-hyun: Seo begins as a coworker and fellow survivor, becomes Kim's ally inside the Wonderfully Mysterious Fortress, and eventually shares love, parenthood, and the final struggle with her. Their relationship develops through repeated conflicts over unilateral sacrifice: Kim asks him to recognize what his deaths do to others, while he learns that saving her cannot mean deciding for her. • Jo Yeon: Jo Yeon is Kim's captor and teacher, not an alias or alternate identity. He forces the consciousness path and puppet modifications upon her, after which she turns his own system against the Fortress. Wonderfully Mysterious Fortress

The Fortress is Jo Yeon's creation and Kim's prison, training ground, and first great consciousness network. Her puppet-modified body and forced study let her compete for control of its circuits, but she never becomes its creator or the Mad Lord. Later uses of the Canon preserve what she learned while redirecting it away from Jo's attempt to replace people with obedient constructs. (Chapters 140–148, 422–455)

Realm Annihilation Ground-Shrinking Formation

Kim develops and operates this escape formation with Yeon Wei, Hong Fan, and the Wuji network. Its chained spatial leaps carry the community away from forces it cannot defeat directly, demonstrating her characteristic strength: she turns engineering, consciousness, collaborators, and prepared infrastructure into survival at a scale her personal realm could not accomplish alone.
