Destiny Sea Chart
The Destiny Sea Chart is a seven-piece map that controls access to the sea simulation's central quest. Possessing even one piece lets a faction delay the assembled route and bargain with every group seeking the Sea God's power.
History
Pirate kings, naval commanders, and Alien Star warriors compete for the separate pieces because no one can advance the main quest without them. Du Ge acquires pieces through conquest and negotiation, while Mans's repair skill causes hidden fragments to fly into place when he strikes the chart. The completed map reveals a course to Erta Ale, where the coalition can obtain the Golden Compass and continue toward the trident. (Chapters 169–176)
Abilities and properties
The chart indicates the next route but does not itself reveal or summon the Trident of the Sea God. It must be complete, and the voyage it defines still takes time even with the Feather of the Sea God. Its fragmented design makes it politically powerful but physically vulnerable: a single holder can stall the quest, while a repair ability can defeat attempts to conceal nearby pieces. (Chapters 171–176)
Ownership and custody
| Holder or custodian | Relationship to the item |
|---|---|
| Rival pirate, naval, and independent holders | Kept separate fragments in contested custody; no individual fragment-holder owned the completed chart. (Chapters 169–171) |
| Mans | Repairer rather than owner; striking Du Ge's fragment caused the other pieces to leave their holders and assemble. (Chapter 171) |
| Du Ge | Held the fully assembled chart and used its revealed route to continue the quest; it was not retained after the simulation. (Chapters 171–176) |
