Biography

Survivor and builder

Chris survived Donald and Abby's faction after Donald abused and killed his sister. He refused to join the attack on Jake Thayne, then contradicted Donald's lies despite the personal danger, helping Jake judge the group's leaders and rallying the remaining survivors afterward. In Haven, Hank trained him as a builder. Chris became outgoing and enthusiastic as his health returned, worked on the temple, and developed a crush on Louise. (Chapters 150, 254)

Chris received a Blessing from the Malefic Viper and later followed the god's instructions to construct a monument linking Earth to the Order. Working with Hank and Neil, he placed and charged stones according to a granted skill even though he did not understand the full spatial ritual. He maintained the completed anchor until Ell’Hakan invaded Haven, beheaded him, and destroyed it. Chris's murder became a lasting personal reason for Jake to oppose Ell'Hakan. (Chapters 255–257, 385, 390, 398, 520–521)

Appearance and personality

Chris is initially a scrawny young man with deep-green, calm eyes and barely contained grief. By his recovery in Haven he has short hair and a strong, healthy build. He is candid, kind, sociable, and somewhat naïve, with enough moral courage to speak against Donald while still vulnerable.

Path, class, and abilities

Chris follows a builder profession strengthened by a divine Blessing. His monument skill communicates exact placement and charging requirements, enabling painstaking construction of a cross-universe anchor. The work still depends on collaborators, prepared materials, celestial energy, and Jake's existing connection to the Viper. Chris executes the design faithfully but is not shown independently understanding or controlling the underlying spatial mechanism.
