Evandel's Seed

Evandel's Seed is the temporary physical vessel containing Evandel's soul before her birth. This article covers only that seed-phase lifecycle; the living Evandel is a person and is not an item or anyone's property.

History

Recovery from Gari Mountain

When Hajin defeats the witch in Gari Mountain Dungeon's hidden stage, her life energy disappears and the seed falls from her body. Hajin picks it up and identifies it as a seed containing Evandel's soul. He acts as its caretaker, wrapping and sheltering it while feeding it small amounts of blood so that it can germinate. The source says the donor's blood influences the developing witch's personality and growth. (Chapters 30–31)

Growth and hatching

The seed consumes blood from Rachel's used gauze, grows, moves on its own, and signals hunger. It repeatedly seeks Rachel, eventually jumping from Hajin's pocket and attaching to her wounded stomach during the final exam. The seed emits golden light, takes human form, and hatches as a child who resembles Rachel's younger self while warming her injury. At that point the seed-phase lifecycle ends and Evandel's life as a character begins. (Chapters 45, 53, 57, 62, and 65–66)

Abilities and properties

  • Contains Evandel's soul and germinates into her living body. (Chapters 31 and 65–66)
  • Feeds on small quantities of blood; the source explicitly connects the donor to personality and growth. (Chapters 31 and 45)
  • Moves autonomously, reacts to hunger and people, and seeks Rachel before hatching. These behaviors show that it is already a living vessel, not an inert possession. (Chapters 53, 57, 62, and 65)
