Wan Xiaohua
Wan Xiaohua leads a declining cultivation family whose survival depends on alliances and an inherited defensive formation. His efforts to resist the Ji family link him to the early Li clan, but the arrival of Golden Tang Gate support turns the old feud into a disaster beyond his ability to contain. (Chapters 31,66–71)
Biography
Alliance under pressure
As a young heir, Xiaohua witnesses the Wan family’s humiliating destruction of the Ji household, an episode that helps fuel Ji Dengqi’s enduring hatred. After the death of the Wan family’s stronger cultivator, he inherits leadership with shrinking territory and little room for expansion. He rejects a reckless proposal to seize Li spirit fields, recognizing the danger of their sect connection, and instead approves discreet negotiations through Wan Tiancang. When a wolf demon attacks the Li villages, he responds to Tiancang’s letter and narrowly survives the fight before the mirror’s hidden power kills the beast. His trade of cultivation knowledge for the corpse gives both families something useful and strengthens their practical alliance. (Chapters 31,42–43,67)
Ji Dengqi’s renewed pressure makes Xiaohua seek aid from the Lis and hire Lu Pingyuan at great expense. He trusts the old formation to hold while support arrives, but Li Xiangping recognizes that the feud is being used to draw out the Wan allies. Lu Pingyuan’s impulsive challenge reveals the overwhelming Golden Tang Gate force outside the mountain. Xiaohua immediately orders selected young direct descendants to escape while the others defend or scatter, then destroys the family’s formation legacy rather than surrender it intact. After the defense collapses, Ji Dengqi mortally wounds him and explains that both clans are expendable to the greater sects. Xiaohua dies as his family’s survival scheme becomes an annihilation. (Chapters 66,69–71,79)
Appearance and personality
He is weary under the demands of leadership, yet usually thinks cautiously and understands the need for discretion. The proud youth remembered by Ji Dengqi becomes a desperate elder able to issue focused escape orders even after realizing the family is doomed. (Chapters 31,67,69–71)
Abilities and cultivation
Xiaohua is initially at Jade Capital and reaches the peak of Embryonic Breathing before his death. Divine Movement spells allow rapid travel; small white shields and a Water Shield Talisman buy him time against the wolf. He uses a rattan whip and seals the dead beast’s spiritual essence by pressing joints and acupoints. These practical arts cannot defeat the wolf unaided or save him from Ji Dengqi and the stronger invading cultivators. (Chapters 31,42–43,66,71)

Items
His rattan whip is recovered by Tiancang after the wolf buries it. He trades Secrets of a Rogue Cultivator, a manual containing practical spells, for the wolf’s corpse.
