Wan Yuankai

Wan Yuankai is a young Wan family cultivator who seeks Li-family support as the Ji clan tightens its hold on his family’s territory. He combines respectful diplomacy with practical counsel when the clan’s survival is at stake. (Chapters 28–31, 69)

Biography

Securing help for the Wan Family

Yuankai visits Li Xiangping with a Pine Yue Fruit from his family and asks for help against the Ji clan, whose raids have repeatedly taken the Wan family’s harvest. He explains the imbalance between the two families’ strength and argues that accepting a share of the Wan harvest is a fair price for mutual protection. When Ji Dengqi’s informants threaten their plans, Yuankai arranges for his clan brother Wan Tiancang to fake his death and travel to Lidaokou Village unnoticed. (Chapters 28–31)

Yuankai later accompanies Li Tongya to the Cloud Crowned Peak tribute gathering, where he shares his family’s history and watches the balance between nearby clans and sects. During the Ji assault on the Wan stronghold, he answers Wan Xiaohua’s call and helps carry out the order to send young direct descendants with spiritual orifices west if the formation fails. His later fate remains unknown after the defense of the Wan stronghold begins. (Chapters 46–51, 69)

Appearance and personality

When he first meets Xiangping, Yuankai appears to be in his teens and wears a clean white robe. He is deferential and eager to make useful connections, but speaks plainly about his family’s peril and prioritizes its survival over bargaining pride. (Chapters 28–31)

Abilities and cultivation

Yuankai has condensed the Azure Essence Chakra by his first meeting with the Li family. A later report places him at the Jade Capital Chakra and the fifth stage of Embryonic Breathing. His chapters emphasize negotiation, local knowledge, and family planning rather than a demonstrated personal combat technique. (Chapters 28–29, 63)
