Li Yuexiang
Li Yuexiang is Li Yuanjiao and Xiao Guiluan’s daughter, a Pheasant Flame cultivator who takes responsibility for family affairs and dies protecting survivors of the northern campaign.
Biography
From a sheltered daughter to a chosen sacrifice
Yuexiang grows up largely under Guiluan’s care, cherished by her older relatives but uneasy about her father’s long absences. She chooses the Pheasant Flame’s Long March Technique for herself and reaches Qi Cultivation before Yuanjiao realizes how much of her childhood he has missed. His shattered Life Jade later leaves her grieving, and her mother’s Foundation attempt ends when competing celestial phenomena disrupt the Pristine Water conditions it requires. Yuexiang enters the empty cave and gathers the few belongings and spirit stones left behind. (Chapters 485, 519, 559, 588, 612 and 653)
While Xijun is secluded, she helps handle the household and assesses Yuan Fuyao rather than accepting a political marriage automatically. Chengdun’s gifts and wish to protect his son do not settle her choice. After the Yuan Family’s maneuvers expose the arrangement’s instability, Xizhi helps her end the proposed match; she returns the gifts while affirming that the Li promise of a safe haven still stands. Calmly dismissing threatened gossip, she continues reporting on family affairs and later cultivates on Xizhi’s island, reaching the fifth Qi layer. (Chapters 623, 631–632, 639–640, 644, 646, 658–659, 669 and 691)
When Moon Lake Peak demands a core-bloodline representative, Yuexiang accepts service and gives the conscripts time to say goodbye. The northern rout destroys that hope of orderly duty. After An Zheyan brings scattered cultivators into her fight, she recognizes the disaster surrounding them and tells Minggong that she will not drag others into her death. She relinquishes spiritual essence, orders the survivors home and uses a Foundation-realm talisman while heading north in pheasant fire. Minggong interprets the flames as self-immolation, and the survivors’ account confirms her death. Her prior transfer of Wushao’s spiritual bond lets him survive rather than perish with her. (Chapters 746–747, 832 and 885)
Appearance and personality
She has her mother’s phoenix eyes and fine brows, with some of her father’s gray-black coloring. She favors white dresses, grows into a graceful young woman and combines gentle manners with a firm willingness to judge marriage and cultivation for herself. (Chapters 519, 559, 588 and 632)
Abilities and cultivation
Yuexiang cultivates the Pheasant Flame’s Long March Technique, choosing Long Marching Pheasant Flame as her spiritual qi. Her flames coil around her sword, and she travels on fiery clouds. From the fourth Embryonic stage she advances to early Qi Cultivation and then the fifth heavenly layer on Xizhi’s spiritually rich island. A Foundation-realm talisman protects her during her final action; this is equipment use, not a Foundation breakthrough. The report of self-immolation describes Minggong’s interpretation of her last flame-cloaked departure. (Chapters 559, 588, 631, 646, 691 and 885)
Relationships
- Li Yuanjiao: Her father, whose duties keep him away through much of her childhood. (Chapters 485 and 588)
- Xiao Guiluan: Her mother and principal caregiver; Yuexiang gathers her remains after the failed breakthrough. (Chapters 485 and 653)
- Li Xizhi: Her elder brother, who supports her choice over marriage and provides a place for cultivation. (Chapters 644, 646 and 669)
- Yuan Fuyao: A prospective husband whose proposed match ends without marriage. (Chapters 632, 640 and 646)
- Li Wushao: Her protector; she transfers his spiritual bond before her death. (Chapters 831–832)
- Li Minggong: Receives her final instructions and reports the sacrifice. (Chapter 885)
Items
She carries a longsword and the Qi-realm defensive bead Glazed Dusk, whose cracked fragments return to the family after the campaign. In youth she conveys Ximing’s Azure Manifestation bead to Xijun rather than retaining it as her own treasure. A Foundation-realm talisman supports her final stand. (Chapters 559, 691, 832 and 885)
