Li Quexi

Li Quexi is a younger Li clanswoman favored by Shepherd Peak. Her sect’s generous support brings rapid cultivation, while her elders teach her to preserve the family ties that made that opportunity possible.

Biography

Two sources of protection

Quexi comes from a remote branch of the first lineage and enters the island only after her talent is recognized at nine. Qianlizi chooses her as a disciple when the Li girls seek admission to Purple Smoke Gate, giving her a stronger position than her older cousin Queyi. During their return home, Quexi admits she barely knows Quewan. Her senior brother Wun Wu explains that the sect and Moongaze Lake are two valuable protections: gaining one is no reason to discard the other. She accepts that she still has much to learn. (Chapters 1189–1192)

She follows that advice with a letter asking after the family and offering spirit items earned through the sect competition. Purple Smoke Gate later grants her its secret talisman and access beneath the Purple Platform while she is still a Qi cultivator. When Qianlizi reproaches her for making her sisters seem estranged, Quexi answers that she owes gratitude both to the family that gave her life and the sect that raised her, and will conceal nothing from Ximing. (Chapters 1213 and 1362)

Quexi is secluded inside the blessed land when Purple Smoke Gate seals itself off, leaving her unable to return home. After the gate reenters the world, Tinglan reports that she has emerged at mid Foundation Establishment. Quexi wants to visit the lake, but Wenqing takes her directly to the imperial capital instead. (Chapters 1552 and 1725)

Appearance and personality

Quexi wears white and has a cold, proud bearing as a child. Her initial uncertainty about family politics coexists with gratitude and a willingness to learn; she later offers practical help through her sect rewards. (Chapters 1189–1192, 1213 and 1362)

Abilities and cultivation

She consumes Purple Smoke Cloud-Cliff Essence, receives Shepherd Peak’s secret talisman and cultivates beneath the Purple Platform, enjoying privileges ordinarily reserved for Foundation disciples. These resources support her rapid progress: Qi Cultivation is confirmed when she meets Ximing, and Tinglan later reports mid Foundation Establishment. (Chapters 1362 and 1725)

Relationships

  • Qianlizi: Her master, who secures her favored place at Shepherd Peak.
  • Wun Wu: Her senior brother, who teaches her to value both sect and clan.
  • Li Quewan: An older cousin whose standing initially keeps them distant.
  • Li Queyi: Her older cousin and fellow Purple Smoke disciple, treated less generously.
  • Li Ximing: His ties to the gate help secure her unusually favorable treatment.

Items

Purple Smoke Cloud-Cliff Essence is a cultivation resource she consumes. She also receives the peak’s secret talisman and wears dharma artifacts of unusually high quality for her Qi-stage cultivation. (Chapter 1362)
