Kuangyu
Kuangyu, also known as Yin Xinyu, is a Daoist Master who moves from Hengxing’s circle into independent stewardship of the New Rain Scattered Reefs. She balances her alliances with the responsibility of protecting her domain, while using trade, advice, and personal ties to support her allies. (Chapters 1428–1429, 1552–1553, 1569, 1601)
Biography
From Hengzhu ally to domain-holder
Kuangyu first appears as a pale-blue-robed Daoist Master fighting beside Zhusheng against a devil cultivator; she is identified as Hengxing’s friend, and Hengxing had invited her to help despite Hengzhu’s hesitation to intervene. Kuangyu had cultivated within Hengzhu Blessed Land, where her Daoist Master father and the blessed land supported her rapid progress. After Purple Smoke Gate sealed itself away from the Eastern Sea, Kuangyu arrived at the jointly managed New Rain Scattered Reefs claiming to be a rogue cultivator and eventually took control of the islands. She had survived the recent conflict unscathed and attained Dao through a Fate Divine Ability, giving her a domain of her own. (Chapters 1428–1429, 1552–1553, 1601)
Stewardship and reciprocal ties
Kuangyu treats the reefs as a responsibility that limits her freedom to pursue other opportunities. When Wanlin Heaven opened, she explained its brief entry window to Li Ximing but declined to enter, saying the reefs needed her and she could not risk injury; instead, she agreed to guard him for pills. She later sustained their practical alliance by bringing him Wall-Sinking Water, finding spirit-armor materials, and connecting him with an artifact refiner. Her care for Li Queyi is more personal: she calls her a cherished junior, helps her obtain a suitable cultivation technique, and gives her a gift. Kuangyu also brokers an arrangement for Guo Nanwu and continues to advise Li Ximing, including on Buddhist Golden Lands, at her latest appearance. (Chapters 1566, 1569, 1597, 1601, 1676–1677, 1784)
Appearance and personality
Kuangyu wears pale blue during the northern conflict and later favors light-green Daoist robes. Her delicate features and playful smile accompany a warm, teasing manner, but she is careful about risk and protective of her domain. (Chapters 1428, 1566, 1569, 1593)
Abilities and cultivation
Kuangyu is a Daoist Master who attained Dao through a Fate Divine Ability; its operation and limitations are not described. She participates in battle against a devil cultivator, but no named combat technique or further mechanics are established. She also recognizes the Mountain-Supervising Spirit-Pointing Talisman and identifies its core material and historical lineage. (Chapters 1428, 1553, 1593)
