Fei Luoya
Fei Luoya survives the collapse of the Mount Wu line by treating alliances as means of security and advancement. He gains territory through a dangerous pact with the Li Family, then changes allegiance as the balance of power shifts around him. (Chapters 201, 472–476, 671–672, 1002, 1009, 1372)
Biography
A rival’s fall opens a territory
Luoya begins as an isolated Mount Yue cultivator who insists that the land east of Big Fish Creek is his by an earlier boundary agreement. Though he has long feared Fu Daimu, the stronger ruler of Great Jueting, the deaths of Duanmu Kui and other upheavals convince him that waiting is no longer safe. He works with the Li Family and Yuan Chengdun to lure Fu into an ambush, then helps kill him and his companion. The victory expands Luoya’s territory; at first he intends to govern it himself and rejects Li help, but later agrees to let the Li clan cultivate its fields for a share of the harvest. As danger grows and Zhu Xian disappears, he asks the Li Family for a path forward and decides he must leave the lake. (Chapters 472–476, 550–551, 671)
Luoya offers Li Xuanfeng his cultivation technique and asks to follow him to the southern border. Later accounts say Xuanfeng sent him to serve the Ning Family, where he was assigned to keep Ning Hejing from escaping; a later revelation clarifies that Luoya was not the one leaking information to Li Yuanqin. Finding the lake unsafe, he eventually joins Yi Mountain City, rises under Chi Ning, and by his latest appearance guards Hezhou. (Chapters 672, 1002, 1009, 1372)
Appearance and personality
Luoya is an old Mount Yue cultivator with bloodshot eyes and narrow, vertical pupils that make his gaze intimidating. He is cautious about stronger powers, but his ambition and suspicion repeatedly draw him into dangerous bargains. (Chapters 472, 672, 1002)
Abilities and cultivation
Luoya is a Foundation Establishment cultivator, described as mid-stage during the fight for Great Jueting and as nearing the late stage years later. His exact stage is not given in his latest appearance. His Immortal Foundation, Untraceable Presence, can make him vanish from ordinary sight during combat; another scene associates it with reading the colors in others’ eyes, but its full mechanics and limits are not explained. (Chapters 472–474, 550, 672)
He also practices Mount Wu shamanic spell arts, including sinister Lesser Yin methods that later prove effective in the southern border. Against Fu Daimu, however, Luoya’s few Grade Two spells are not powerful enough to overcome the stronger cultivator directly, so he relies on his Immortal Foundation and the ambush with his allies. (Chapters 474, 1002)
