Bi Yuzhuang

Bi Yuzhuang is a Hengzhu Dao Gate cultivator whose formation knowledge and diplomacy bring her into repeated cooperation with the Li Family. She organizes the ambush of Wang Fu, then struggles with the strain Li Xijun’s apparent death places on her friendship with Li Qinghong. (Chapters 594, 913–918, 932)

Biography

Formation alliances and the cost of a successful ambush

Yuzhuang first cooperates with Lin Chensheng, a childhood friend, and Li Xuanfeng in an ancient grotto heaven. She studies a barrier whose Yin–Yang design has weakened as the world’s conditions change, locates its vulnerable nodes, and directs her companions’ strikes to break it. This shared venture later gives her a basis for welcoming Qinghong. When Qinghong seeks rare materials, Yuzhuang sees that their interests can align against Wang Fu, an increasingly formidable enemy of Hengzhu Dao Gate. She recruits concealed assistants and arranges a portable formation, expecting the Lis’ thunder and suppressive arts to supply the combat strength her local forces lack. (Chapters 593–594, 913–916)

The ambush succeeds only after Yuzhuang counters Wang Fu’s defenses and protects the formation against rescuers equipped with formation-breaking spikes. She personally emerges with the Feng brothers to block those reinforcements, preserving the concealment of the Li participants while the killing is completed. After the allies escape, she agrees to exchange conspicuous captured weapons and retains a coveted Ancient Merging spirit item for Hengzhu. News of Xijun’s apparent death then changes her satisfaction into guilt: she had encouraged him to leave the ambush once additional help arrived and fears Qinghong will think the separation intentional. She lends the White Wan veil for the return journey and thinks of holding the valuable spirit item as a reason her elders could help the Lis later. The relationship endures sufficiently for her to accompany Hengli to Ximing’s advancement celebration and announce their gift. (Chapters 918, 930–932, 1036, 1038)

Appearance and personality

Yuzhuang wears a bright red robe over moon-colored inner garments, with golden bangles. Her fair face has high brows and large eyes. She is warm and capable in negotiation, but weighs valuable trades carefully; her concern for Qinghong after the ambush also demonstrates a personal attachment that is not exhausted by profit. (Chapters 913, 931–932)

Abilities and cultivation

Formation analysis and battlefield control

Yuzhuang identifies the operating assumptions of an ancient formation, uses chained jade wedges to reveal its weak nodes, and guides coordinated attacks through spiritual sense. Her analysis concerns that formation’s obsolete Yin–Yang stabilization rather than a universal method for breaking barriers. She also sends a white-armored, peak-Qi warrior transformed from an orb into the opened pavilion to search its rooms. (Chapter 594)

In the Wang Fu ambush, Yellow Cotton creates a portable Auspicious Essence formation that withstands ordinary attacks and conceals the fighting. Specialized Golden Feather formation-destroying spikes threaten to break it within seconds, forcing her to intercept them outside. Her petal-shaped ritual weapon releases red light that freezes Wang Fu’s multitude of sword shadows, and prepared talismans counter his powerful emergency defenses. These preparations help the team win, but depend on allies to finish the enemy and on preventing external cultivators from exposing their identities. (Chapters 918, 930–931)

Relationships

  • Lin Chensheng: Childhood friend and grotto-heaven companion.
  • Li Xuanfeng: Earlier ally whose connection opens later cooperation with the Lis.
  • Li Qinghong: Partner in the Wang Fu ambush and a friend whose possible blame troubles her.
  • Chen Xuanyu: Recruited swordsman entrusted with escorting the Li party home. (Chapters 593–594, 913, 916, 932)

Items

Her equipment includes chained jade wedges, the warrior-producing white orb, the Yellow Cotton formation plate, a petal-shaped ritual weapon, and the White Wan concealment veil. She temporarily entrusts the veil to Xuanyu and retains Wang Fu’s Ancient Merging spirit item for a proposed exchange. None of these transfers establishes ownership of a living companion.
