Sun Hunter

Sun Hunter is an ancient Beyond Grade A Cannon Master whose minute insectoid body contrasts with artillery many thousands of times larger than he is. Initially an ally of the Arcane Church, he helps capture EsGod and later joins the Beyond Grade A Association. His blunt humor and love of enormous guns remain consistent as he moves from inter-civilization operations to defending the shared interests of independent Supers.

Biography

Intelligent Plague and the Association

Sun Hunter enters direct action as the strongest of the Arcane Church's three experts in the joint operation against EsGod. He serves as the first team's main damage dealer, bombarding doppelgangers with fortress-like artillery despite severe energy drain, and accepts the final decision that allows Han Xiao to seal their target. During the Intelligent Plague era, he participates in the wider Beyond Grade A circle, judges the destruction of the Virtual Mutiny Virus as rational, and accepts the Association's shared battlefront as protection against future capture. He is willing to question Black Star's rapid growth but increasingly treats him as the leader best positioned to defend their collective interests. Sanctum Revival and the Super Crisis

As relations with the universal civilizations worsen, Sun Hunter supports Association solidarity even toward Manison, whom he insults at length while insisting that an attack on one member requires a collective response. When the three civilizations threaten the Mechanical Race and the Association, he prepares his cannon for open conflict and reads Han's confrontation as a deliberate demonstration that the Supers will not be coerced. His position is not personal loyalty to Manison or a civilization; it is a defense of the precedent that members should receive aid when external powers target them. The World Tree War

Sun Hunter joins the unified defense against the World Tree, bringing his main body to the front and repeatedly deploying with the Association's other high-level combatants. After a costly engagement in which many allies die, he argues that they should have withdrawn when Aurora was disabled, showing that his aggression does not erase his concern for survivable tactics. He nevertheless remains in the war, teases returning avoidance-faction members, and fights through the later counteroffensive. At the final victory he stands with Black Star's Association forces during the brief confrontation with the three Universal Civilizations and is directly shown alive and relieved after both crises pass. Appearance and personality

Sun Hunter belongs to an endangered insect-like species. His armored body is extremely lean and described as finger-sized, while his weapons dwarf him by many thousands of times. He is loud, irreverent, combative, and fond of cannon-related jokes. His mockery can be sharp, but he also objects when punishment becomes disproportionate and remains attentive to the risks behind apparently heroic plans. (Chapters 891, 1007, 1299, 1362, and 1376)

Abilities and class

Sun Hunter is a veteran Beyond Grade A Cannon Master and member of the Ancient Ones. He channels Mechanical Force through colossal particle cannons and fortress-scale artillery, sustaining rapid long-range fire powerful enough to erase battleships and make him the designated main damage dealer against EsGod. Intense bombardment consumes his energy quickly, so endurance is a demonstrated constraint even though his firepower is exceptional. (Chapters 813, 891–893, and 1308)

Relationships
