EsGod

EsGod is the notorious founder and lord of Fallen Ark, a Beyond Grade A Esper who collects powers in pursuit of a level beyond his grade. His Rebirth tears his soul into two independent branches: the pre-split main consciousness continues as Gaud, while the remnant consciousness in the original body develops into the separate personality still called EsGod. This article follows that original-body branch, which Han Xiao later kills and converts into an Underworld Hero Spirit; Gaud remains a distinct, surviving person.

Biography

Mutation Disaster and the Secret War

EsGod enters Han Xiao's conflict with Klent through a doppelganger supplied to the DarkStar leader. The projection combines teleportation, energy absorption, intangibility, speed, and spatial disruption strongly enough to overwhelm Han Xiao's defenses and drag him toward an unstable wormhole. EsGod's main consciousness largely observes instead of committing himself to Klent's objective, treating the encounter as entertainment and experimentation. Han Xiao escapes by using the wormhole itself, leaving the doppelganger stranded and turning a seemingly decisive ambush into a failed attempt at exile. (Chapters 703–705)

The attack nevertheless changes the political conflict. Evidence that Klent cooperated with EsGod, one of the universe's most wanted criminals, damages its relationship with Heber and supplies the Crimson Dynasty with leverage against Klent's conduct. For EsGod, the episode is less a defeat than a discovery: his displaced doppelganger encounters a remote region connected to anomalous wormhole data, and he becomes interested in tracing where it led. His casual participation thus creates consequences for both the Secret War and the later World Tree crisis even though he had not treated the original assignment seriously. (Chapters 704–722)

The Evolution Cube and Crimson Dynasty

EsGod considers himself the rightful heir to the Evolution Cube because he possesses records left by the Evolutionary Civilization and believes its power can advance his life form. He sends criminals across star fields to recover wormhole data and steal the Cube from Psyker. His doppelgangers massacre a Star Pupil colony to draw Psyker away, infiltrate the unguarded position, and secure the treasure. The operation succeeds tactically, but Han Xiao intercepts the surviving carriers and takes the Cube, converting EsGod's elaborate theft into the foundation of Black Star's rise. (Chapters 727–780)

EsGod first offers Han Xiao a transaction—one use of the Cube in exchange for any service—but later joins the Arcane Church's attack on Planet Lighthouse when negotiation fails. He accepts massive subordinate losses as irrelevant beside personal evolution, undergoes the Cube's transformation, and uses the disorder of wormhole travel to pursue the coordinates that fascinate him. Han Xiao and multiple universal-civilization experts eventually trap him, exhaust his doppelgangers, and seal him alive. His confidence in disorder and endless possibility brings him the evolution he wanted, but it also guides him into the route his enemies prepared. (Chapters 781–895)

The Flickering World

EsGod's capture breaks Fallen Ark's organizing center. The criminal fleet fragments, black-market organizations absorb displaced members, and powers that had feared his personal retaliation can reassess the underworld he dominated. His physical absence does not erase his influence: the titles, enemies, scattered followers, and destabilized criminal population left behind continue to shape how galactic society interprets Black Star's victory. Capturing him becomes one of Han Xiao's defining public achievements and evidence that even a peak Beyond Grade A can be removed from active history. (Chapters 896–967)

His intellectual and biological legacies remain more dangerous than the fallen organization. The wormhole coordinates he pursued point toward the World Tree, while records of his experiments preserve knowledge about Primal Esper Ability Entities and the synthesis of stronger powers. His doppelganger method remains a benchmark for remote avatars because each projection can approach Beyond Grade A strength with a selected package of abilities. Han Xiao therefore continues studying what EsGod discovered even while keeping the man sealed, treating his inheritance as both an early-warning system and a source of threats that may mature in other hands. Intelligent Plague and the Association

During EsGod's imprisonment, later investigations show how widely he had searched for Primal Esper Abilities and how readily he might have traded with hidden organizations to acquire them. His example informs assessments of new hosts and ability entities: a powerful carrier can draw out far more of an entity's potential, just as EsGod's exceptional body amplified the powers he absorbed. These comparisons preserve his reputation as the extreme case of an Esper built through collection rather than a historical curiosity rendered harmless by amber. (Chapters 1046–1077)

The World Tree coordinates in his wormhole data also become proof that his curiosity had approached an existential secret long before the civilizations understood it. At the same time, Han Xiao begins cultivating Evans as a safer “new EsGod,” selecting compatible abilities instead of overloading him indiscriminately. This program is an implicit judgment on EsGod's path: his versatility was extraordinary, but the crimes, unstable genetic chain, and accumulation without restraint made him powerful at the cost of a sustainable future. His methods survive, though their next practitioner is raised under protection and discipline. (Chapters 1128–1210)

Sanctum Revival and the Super Crisis

Han Xiao discovers that EsGod prepared a second life before his capture. Through an Esper rebirth ability, he tore his soul apart, sent the main consciousness into Gaud—a clean Crimson Dynasty identity carrying the synthesized Super High-Risk ability Energy Control—and left a remnant soul in the original body. The connection was completely severed, so the two branches became independent people. Gaud retained the old ambition to discard a notorious past, accept civilization resources, study the Cube's energy, and approach the higher realm from within the system. (Chapters 1220–1226)

Han Xiao recognizes Gaud, secretly captures him, and prevents the plan from maturing. He later arranges for Evans to take Energy Control, leaving Gaud alive but stripped of the ability that justified his rebirth. The original EsGod body remains sealed and develops its own post-split personality, while the galaxy treats the disappearance as an unresolved political crisis. The failure is total at the personal level: EsGod abandoned his old body to escape its enemies and genetic burden, only for both the replacement identity and its crowning ability to fall under Han Xiao's control. The World Tree War

Once Han Xiao reaches Transcendent Grade, he unseals the original-body EsGod as part of an agreement with the Crimson Dynasty. This remnant consciousness shares the old memories and expects the World Tree invasion to make its strength valuable enough to restore its freedom, while Gaud watches the body he abandoned as a separate person. Han Xiao instead kills the original body and has Hila collect its soul for the Underworld. Faced with permanent death or service as an undying Hero Spirit, the remnant accepts transformation after learning that Evans possesses the absorption ability and may reach the realm both branches inherited the desire to pursue. As a Hero Spirit, EsGod becomes a weapon against the World Tree rather than the explored universe. He guides Evans in coordinating multiple Esper Abilities, fights with dozens of doppelgangers, and forces the Subduing Tree King to self-destruct rather than risk capture. Former enemies remain uneasy beside him, and EsGod himself dismisses praise because Underworld service is compulsory rather than a bid for rehabilitation. Even so, his abilities make a material contribution to the war, and the chaotic force once organized around private transcendence is redirected toward collective survival. (Chapters 1397–1437)

Information Form and the Final Relay

After the war, EsGod continues teaching Evans. He interprets Evans's relentless training as progress toward the promise to surpass and someday strike Han Xiao, giving him a personal reason to invest in another Esper's growth. Mentorship is an unfamiliar position for someone who previously treated subordinates as disposable assets, but it preserves his original aspiration by proxy: if he can no longer cross the higher threshold, the person carrying a refined version of his ability may still show him what lies beyond it. EsGod's final role is therefore neither absolution nor simple captivity. The Underworld denies him unrestricted freedom, and the people he harmed do not forget their grudges, yet it also gives him stable existence without the genetic burden that limited his living body. He remains competitive, sardonic, and focused on power, channeling those traits into instruction rather than rebuilding Fallen Ark. His ambition survives the death of both his criminal empire and biological future, but its consequences now depend on Evans's choices and the institutions EsGod once rejected. (Chapter 1449)

Appearance and personality

EsGod's main body is initially concealed beneath a hood, with a black vortex that can resolve into what observers describe as an ugly face. His remote doppelgangers resemble humanoid silhouettes made from black fog, with red points of light forming simple facial expressions. The obscured appearance reinforces the uncertainty around his original name and species. After death, the Underworld preserves him as a semitransparent spirit until a temporary Hero Spirit body is formed for battle. (Chapters 703–704, 744, 781, and 1394–1395)

He is patient, ruthless, curious, and fanatically committed to surpassing Beyond Grade A. EsGod can ignore insults and casualties when they do not affect that aim, yet he treasures his life because survival keeps advancement possible. He is not conventionally loyal to criminals or hostile to civilizations; he adopts whichever identity and alliance offers greater benefit. Disorder appeals to him because it creates possibilities, and he respects strength enough to meet his final defeat with envy and relief when Han Xiao demonstrates the realm he had pursued. Abilities and class

EsGod is a peak Beyond Grade A Esper whose foundational ability lets him absorb and retain other Esper Abilities. This gives him exceptional versatility and makes his exact combat options difficult to predict, but accumulation destabilizes his genetic chain and ultimately obstructs the further evolution he desires.

Esper Ability absorption

His core power incorporates other Esper Abilities into his own body. Even an ordinary absorbed power can be developed to Beyond Grade A output, allowing EsGod to assemble movement, defense, recovery, control, psychic, spatial, and destructive functions within one fighter. The process is not costless: incompatible and numerous gene chains create mounting instability, and transferring his soul into a new body leaves the absorption foundation behind because it is rooted in the original body's genetics. Doppelgangers

EsGod can create multiple black-fog doppelgangers and assign selected abilities to each. A projection may reach quasi-Beyond Grade A or Beyond Grade A combat relevance, operate at interstellar distance, and act independently while remaining mentally observable or directly controllable by the original. Abilities committed to a doppelganger are unavailable to the main body until that projection disappears, and each copy has a limited energy reserve. Energy absorption can replenish it, but destroying successive doppelgangers still drains EsGod's distributed arsenal. (Chapters 703–704, 748–749, 895, and 1044)

Versatility and energy control

His collected powers include teleportation, dimensional movement, intangibility, energy absorption, rapid regeneration, mental control, extreme speed, and large-scale destructive attacks. Their combinations let him change tactics faster than specialists built around one ability. Energy Control, synthesized for the Gaud body, manipulates many forms of energy and has enormous growth potential, but it is not retained by the original body; Evans later takes its gene chain, separating EsGod from the centerpiece of his rebirth plan. Rebirth and split identity

The rebirth ability tears the user's soul and places the main consciousness in a prepared body while leaving a remnant soul in the former body. EsGod uses it to establish Gaud, gaining a clean history and Energy Control, but the two souls sever their connection and become independent individuals. The Gaud branch retains main-consciousness continuity, while the abandoned original body develops the separate remnant personality followed by this article. Rebirth also cannot carry over the original body's genetically based absorption ability, forcing the Gaud branch to exchange the accumulated arsenal for a stable new path. Underworld Hero Spirit

After physical death, EsGod's soul is stabilized by the Underworld and converted into a Hero Spirit. The form removes the failing biological body's genetic burden, permits renewed use of his broad combat repertoire, and lets him be materialized for battle with Hila and Aurora's complementary energies. In exchange, he is bound to the Underworld's authority and cannot freely pursue his own organization or escape its missions. His continued existence is durable service, not independent resurrection. • Han Xiao: EsGod first treats Han Xiao as an interesting target, then as the holder of the Evolution Cube and a potential trading partner. Han Xiao ultimately captures him, exposes his rebirth, kills his original body, and recruits his soul into the Underworld. EsGod resents him but also admires that he reached Transcendent Grade first. • Psyker: EsGod regards Psyker as an unworthy custodian of the Evolution Cube. He attacks the Star Pupil Holy Race, uses a massacre to draw Psyker away, and has his subordinates steal the Cube, creating lasting hatred between them. (Chapters 744–749 and 839)
• Heber: Heber's alliance with Klent is strained when Klent's covert cooperation with EsGod becomes public. EsGod and Heber are both peak individual powers, but EsGod's criminal independence and unpredictable methods make him an unwelcome partner within the political order Heber serves. (Chapters 704–722)
• Hila: Hila captures EsGod's soul at the moment of his bodily death and governs the Underworld in which he becomes a Hero Spirit. Her authority gives his continued existence a compulsory structure he never accepted while alive. (Chapters 1393–1397)
• Aurora: Aurora's life energy provides the temporary bodies through which EsGod and other Hero Spirits return to battle. Her contribution frees him from his unstable biological body while also making his physical activity dependent on the sisters' revival system. (Chapters 1395–1397 and 1437)
