Subduing Tree King — The Legendary Mechanic

Subduing Tree King Saint Grace Bellandor is the Pugilist among the World Tree Civilization's five Great Tree Kings. He is a current bearer of the crown whose accumulated role is also called the Martial Tree King; the crown's generations, his bodily revivals, and Bellandor himself should not be treated as separate present-day characters.

Biography

The World Tree War

Subduing Tree King first confronts Han Xiao after the latter infiltrates World Tree territory. Han remembers that a previous-timeline version of the war saw Bellandor kill prominent explored-universe fighters before eventually being slain by Karlot and Silver Shadow, but none of those deaths or victories occur in the current timeline. In the present war, Bellandor later co-directs an invasion with Heart Tree King, activates the Tree King Crown to transform and strengthen the whole World Tree army, and tries to kill Aurora. Han's trap badly wounds him; when capture becomes likely, Bellandor self-destructs and returns to the Mother Tree as a seed. Fortitude Tree King waters that seed until Bellandor revives. Years later, Bellandor fights Hila and is isolated by EsGod. Mistakenly expecting another Han ambush, he again self-destructs early to avoid sealing, and the World Tree begins another revival. Before it finishes, the Mother Tree transfers his crown position to Ancestral Tree King, who sacrifices and shatters the Pugilist crown to empower the Tree God. Its accumulated generations of skill are consumed; a later account confirms that Bellandor and the crown died, making this outcome permanent rather than another temporary bodily death. Appearance and personality

Bellandor's ordinary physical features are not described in detail. When he releases the World Tree's power, his body becomes translucent and takes on the texture of World Tree roots, with green energy flowing inside it. He considers himself rational despite the stereotypical directness of a Pugilist. That self-image is partly justified: he can suppress his desire for battle, hide behind fleet protection, and target the enemy healer for strategic gain. It also becomes a weakness. Fear of capture and overanalysis lead him to self-destruct twice, the second time because he imagines an ambush that Han is not actually preparing. (Chapters 1337–1340, 1371, and 1405–1414)

Abilities and class

Subduing Tree King is a pinnacle Beyond Grade A Pugilist and the strongest Pugilist Han had personally fought when they first clash, although the other Tree Kings regard the Pugilist seat as the simplest and weakest of the five. Bellandor combines overwhelming close-range force, protective green Pugilist flames, high durability, regeneration, and summoned World Tree roots. Liberating the crown changes his body and grants a battlefield-wide halo that greatly strengthens World Tree forces. Connection to the Mother Tree lets him self-destruct, revert to a seed, and mature into a new body, but the process takes time and depends on the intact crown and civilization. Relationships

Han Xiao: Bellandor is a recurring frontline opponent whom Han can defeat but not quickly overwhelm. Han's attempts to capture Tree Kings make Bellandor increasingly wary and indirectly provoke his second self-destruction.
Heart Tree King: The two initially command the World Tree response together. Their different classes produce distinct tactics, but both accept bodily death as temporary while their crowns remain recoverable.
Fortitude Tree King: Fortitude tends Bellandor's seed through his first shown revival, later fights alongside him, and regards the second self-destruction as unnecessarily early despite understanding its logic.
Mother Tree: The Mother Tree supplies Bellandor's transformed power and revival mechanism. During the final crisis, it retrieves his still-reviving crown position and gives it to Ancestral Tree King.
Ancestral Tree King: Ancestral ultimately uses Crown Liberation to sacrifice the Pugilist title, consuming the accumulated skills of every Martial Tree King generation and ending Bellandor's path to revival.
Hila: Hila helps challenge him in his second present-timeline deployment. Her death energy checks his frontal power before EsGod isolates him.

The Subduing Tree King Crown is the source and office associated with the Pugilist Tree King. It stores the experience and skills accumulated by successive Martial Tree Kings, enables Bellandor to release the World Tree's power, and supports his repeated revival through the Mother Tree. In Chapter 1437, Ancestral Tree King activates Crown Liberation and shatters it; the sacrifice strengthens the Tree God but removes the crown for a very long period and ends Bellandor's active succession.
