Silver Shadow

Silver Shadow is a Beyond Grade A Pugilist who transforms into a silver, living Universal Treasure after nearly a century of cultivation inside a dying star. He joins the Crimson Dynasty, develops a friendship with Han Xiao, and later becomes Karlot's teacher and combat partner.

Biography

The Flickering World

Silver Shadow emerges from almost a century of seclusion as a new life form, abandons his original name, and builds an independent organization in the Sea of Star Spirits. Five years after advancing to Beyond Grade A, he accepts the Crimson Dynasty's invitation because the Flickering World offers room to expand and Han Xiao's possession of the Evolution Cube offers a path for further development. Determined to earn standing among the dynasty's veterans, he challenges Han and stakes his access to the Cube on the result. His speed, durability, and divided bodies demonstrate unusual potential, but Han exploits his weak spiritual defenses and restrains him. Silver Shadow concedes rather than prolong a lost fight and owes Han a favor, beginning their relationship with respect rather than lasting resentment. (Chapters 994–997 and 1007)

Intelligent Plague and the Association

Silver Shadow later brings rare designs and materials to Black Star Palace in exchange for using the Evolution Cube. While waiting, he offers to help when the palace comes under threat, then is abruptly transported to Han's location through the King suit. Han explains that Silver Shadow's transformed body can become wearable Universal Treasure-grade equipment, a capacity Silver Shadow himself has not recognized. He awakens the form, voluntarily merges around Han, and supplies the speed and defense needed in the exhausting battle that ends with Gorutan's capture. The discovery benefits both of them: Silver Shadow gains insight into his own evolution and receives access to the Cube, while Han gains a reliable ally. Their friendship later leads Silver Shadow to accept Karlot as a student; his initial reluctance disappears when Karlot's exceptional growth and compatible temperament make the teaching relationship personally rewarding. The World Tree War

Han Xiao remembers an alternate history in which Silver Shadow, then called Love Carrier, merged with Karlot to kill the Subduing Tree King and nearly died in the process. That recollection describes a different timeline, not Silver Shadow's fate in the supplied story. In the present sequence, his early partnership with Karlot prepares them for the same style of combined combat without repeating the recorded death. Silver Shadow remains an active participant in the war and, at his last direct appearance, allows Karlot to drive his transformed body through enemy ships during the counteroffensive. Appearance and personality

Silver Shadow has a bright silver body whose skin flows like liquid metal and reflects its surroundings like a mirror. His smooth face has only metallic eyes, and his body has neither sexual characteristics nor a need for clothing. Microscopic magical circuits cover its surface, while his voice resembles a cold electronic vibration. He is reserved, proud, and initially dismissive of weaker veterans, yet not irrationally combative: he recognizes defeat, honors bargains, and becomes openly grateful to those who help him develop. Silver Shadow is a Beyond Grade A Pugilist whose century-long transformation inside a dying star gives him a mutable body comparable to a living Universal Treasure. His liquid-metal form is extraordinarily durable, can recover its shape, and can split at the nano scale into hundreds of smaller bodies without losing its defensive quality. He combines Pugilist energy with Void-derived power and spatial distortion to accelerate continuously, approaching warp speed over sufficient distance. Increased spatial stability reduces part of that acceleration, and spiritual attacks are a pronounced weakness capable of disrupting control over both his main body and separated forms. After Han identifies his dormant potential, Silver Shadow learns to flow around another person as Universal Treasure-grade equipment. The wearer can draw on his exceptional defense, speed, and physical attributes while Silver Shadow remains a living, consenting partner rather than an owned weapon. This is distinct from Manison's conversion of captives into specialized equipment—the possibility Silver Shadow initially fears. The form is powerful but not invulnerable: prolonged combat against Gorutan drives Silver Shadow's health below the danger line even while paired with Han. (Chapters 1055–1058)

Relationships

• Han Xiao: Silver Shadow challenges Han, loses, and later trades his assistance for access to the Evolution Cube. Han reveals his hidden transformation, and the resulting cooperation develops into friendship.
• Karlot: Silver Shadow becomes Karlot's Beyond Grade A teacher and grows devoted to his development. They later combine directly in battle during the World Tree counteroffensive.
• Gorutan: Silver Shadow merges with Han and helps survive the prolonged battle that ends in Gorutan's capture.
• Manison: Silver Shadow fears being converted into a weapon like Manison's captives, but he is never Manison's property or mechanical creation.
• Ames: Ames receives Silver Shadow at Black Star Palace and treats him as a guest while he waits to negotiate with Han.

Items

Silver Shadow has Secret Master inscribe dense magical circuits across his body, adding extensive enchantments rather than equipping conventional armor. He later uses the Evolution Cube with Han Xiao's permission, but does not own it.
