Gorutan
Gorutan, better known as the Beast Ancestor, is a peak Beyond Grade A Pugilist, a protector of the Galactic Black Market, and the head of an organization populated largely by his offspring. He allies with commercial interests against the Black Star Army, provokes Hila, and later helps expose her abilities to hostile civilizations. Han Xiao defeats him and preserves him alive in Spacetime Amber.
Biography
The Flickering World
Gorutan enters the wider Beyond Grade A political scene as a Galactic Black Market protector and a shareholder aligned with Sorokin. During the Flickering World's open competition, Sorokin asks him to slow the Black Star Army's expansion, so Gorutan seizes its intended stronghold and tests Hila in person. The clash becomes brutal after Hila kills many of his descendants and drains some of his life span; Gorutan batters her but withdraws when Han's remote avatar arrives, leaving both sides with a lasting grudge. Secret Master subsequently warns Han that Gorutan is planning against him, correctly foreshadowing a more indirect act of revenge. (Chapters 915, 991, and 1016–1035)
Intelligent Plague and the Association
Gorutan leaks intelligence about Hila's life-manipulating power to the Federation of Light and Arcane Church, hoping they will kill her and avenge the loss inflicted on him. The attack fails, and Han confronts him while he is already occupied by Manison's forces. Gorutan chooses a direct fight, but Han defeats him and seals his wounded body alive in Spacetime Amber, intending to keep him as a specimen. The capture fractures Gorutan's organization: Jotina and six other Calamity Grades defect, denounce its reproductive slavery, and offer to help dismantle it. Chapter 1136's claim that Gorutan killed Jotina describes Han's previous-life history, not the current timeline, where she survives under Han's command. (Chapters 1048–1064 and 1136)
The World Tree War
Gorutan does not directly participate in the current-timeline World Tree War in the supplied corpus. Chapter 1269 still treats him as Han's living prisoner, with Han considering temporarily releasing him to teach Karlot and taking care that he not die inside the amber. Chapter 1322 says Gorutan died to the Subduing Tree King in Han's previous life; that counterfactual history cannot be used as his present death. Later references compare other reproductive practices with his or identify Jotina as his daughter, but do not show him released, fighting, or dying. His last evidence-grounded condition therefore remains alive and sealed. (Chapters 1269, 1322, 1391, and 1401)
Appearance and personality
Gorutan is the tallest attendee identified at the Meeting of the Gods. He has a muscular, fearsome body covered in lion-like fur and is comfortable appearing nude before his offspring. Proud, domineering, and quick to anger, he prefers resolving conflict through strength, yet he can judge when a confrontation is disadvantageous. His organization rests on coercion: he purchases captive women, breeds numerous hybrid descendants, rewards useful offspring, and enslaves others. (Chapters 1007, 1016, 1019, and 1064)
Abilities and class
Gorutan is a peak, or pinnacle, Beyond Grade A Pugilist with immense physical power, health, body control, and regenerative ability. He coats himself in dark-brown Pugilist flames, launches shockwave blasts, accelerates fast enough to break through Hila's death-energy defense, and can endure a prolonged battle against Han's mechanical army. Mental attacks are comparatively troublesome for him, as is typical of his class, while Han ultimately overcomes his durability through sustained pressure and Spacetime Amber rather than a single decisive blow. (Chapters 1016–1019 and 1055–1058)

- Hila: Gorutan tests Hila in battle, loses life span to her ability, and seeks revenge by enabling a larger ambush against her. (Chapters 1016–1019 and 1055–1056)
- Sorokin: Sorokin uses their financial alliance to enlist Gorutan against the Black Star Army. Gorutan demands increased dividends in exchange for taking the risk. (Chapters 991 and 1016)
- Manison: Manison and Gorutan share interests in the Beyond Grade A political front but clash when Manison intercepts Gorutan's fleet and quietly enables Han to confront him. (Chapters 915, 1051, and 1055–1056)
- Jotina: Jotina is one of Gorutan's daughters and Four Admirals. After his capture, she describes his organization as abusive, defects, and seeks its destruction. (Chapter 1064)
Items
Gorutan has no named personal item in the supplied inventory. Spacetime Amber belongs to Han Xiao and serves as Gorutan's prison, not his possession. (Chapters 1058 and 1269)
