Anur
Anur, known as the Wind Demon, is a senior DarkStar officer and the mentor who develops Ember's potential. As one of the organization's few Calamity Grades, he leads the hunt for the defector Alvin, turning Noriosse into a contest between his overwhelming airflow control and the combined tactics of Han Xiao and Nagakin.
Biography
The Black Star Mercenary Group
Anur stands below only DarkStar's leader and treats Alvin's recovery as both an intelligence mission and a test of disciplined pursuit. He searches for the defector's hidden main body while maintaining pressure on the known doppelgangers, yet limits indiscriminate destruction to avoid provoking Noriosse's rulers. When battle becomes unavoidable, he assumes a huge aerodynamic beast form, conceals himself by bending light, and attacks through remote wind pressure and a destructive cyclone. Han Xiao uses a borrowed force-field technique associated with Ames to pin him briefly, allowing Nagakin and Han Xiao to concentrate their attacks. Nagakin inflicts fatal damage and Han Xiao delivers the final stab. Anur dies affirming “DarkStar forever.” The Anur seen communicating immediately afterward is Han Xiao using a facial disguise to deceive DarkStar, not Anur's survival, substitute body, or rebirth. (Chapters 412, 477, 485, and 489–500)
Mutation Disaster and the Secret War
Anur has no living second career during the Mutation Disaster: later references record the consequences of his death. DarkStar's leadership retains strong enmity toward Han Xiao over the killing but delays revenge rather than risk provoking Ames at a critical moment. Other observers use Anur's wide-area power as the example of why a Calamity Grade can destroy masses of ordinary machines, and his defeat becomes the point at which Black Star begins to be treated as a serious galactic power. These are posthumous assessments, not evidence that Anur returned under another office, body, or identity. (Chapters 542, 571, and 590)
Appearance and personality
Anur's ordinary appearance is not clearly detailed in the supplied corpus. His combat transformation is a streamlined beast four to five meters tall, with an inverted-triangle head, thick perforated skin, a long tail, claws, and eight air tubes. He is experienced, strict, pragmatic, and loyal to DarkStar; he restrains collateral damage for strategic reasons and is openly frustrated when Ember's conduct threatens the mission. (Chapters 485 and 489)
Abilities and class
Anur is a Calamity Grade airflow Esper. His transformed body uses its air tubes to control currents, accelerate to extreme speed, fire wind-pressure cannons, and form defensive air barriers. He can bend or absorb light around himself to become difficult to see and can create a destructive cyclone roughly one kilometer in radius. These wide-area attacks punish conventional armies, but concentrated control can halt his movement long enough for peer-level attackers to penetrate his defenses. (Chapters 485 and 496–499)

- Ames: Han Xiao invokes a borrowed version of her force-field technique during the fight; Ames herself is not present at Anur's death.
