Nagakin
Nagakin is a senior Godoran War Bureau officer and Calamity Grade Pugilist assigned to critical missions against DarkStar. His failed ambush on Noriosse leads him to seek help from Han Xiao, changing the crippling outcome Han remembers from another timeline. Nagakin subsequently becomes one of Han's most reliable contacts in the Godoran government.
Biography
The Black Star Mercenary Group
Nagakin arrives on Noriosse to rescue a DarkStar defector but walks into a trap set by Anur and Ember. His subordinates are killed and he is badly wounded, yet he reports the failure before seeking Han's mercenary assistance and honestly discloses that two Calamity Grades oppose them. Working with Han's force, Nagakin protects the defector's remaining doppelganger, fights Anur, and helps turn the failed rescue into a victory in which Anur dies and Alvin escapes. Han remembers Nagakin as mutilated and dependent on prosthetics in a previous timeline, but that fate does not occur here: the current Nagakin leaves Noriosse with his natural limbs intact. Their cooperation gives Han a direct channel to Godora's upper ranks. (Chapters 482–505)
Mutation Disaster and the Secret War
Nagakin leads Godora's relief force to Planet Aquamarine during the Mutation Disaster and works with Han to locate the source and organize the response. He becomes a mission contact for both the Godoran troops and the recruited Inhumans, then brings Han and his forces into Operation Hodellas, Godora's campaign to destroy DarkStar. Their working relationship continues after that victory: Nagakin readily reinforces Han against Albert's group, joins later Calamity Grade operations at Godora's request, and mourns a Godoran comrade killed while helping him. By Chapter 709, Serbia the Fifth again assigns Nagakin to receive Han, and Nagakin personally escorts him across Godora's mother planet. This is his last direct appearance, confirming continued service without establishing a later fate. (Chapters 521–580, 640–641, 669–676, and 709)
Appearance and personality
Nagakin is a male Godoran who first appears majestic and full of valor, walking with wide, stable strides. The corpus does not add a more detailed sustained description of his current body. He is resolute, straightforward, honest about danger, and willing to cast aside personal embarrassment for a mission. His refusal to retreat can become reckless, but loyalty to subordinates, allies, and Godora consistently guides his decisions. (Chapters 482–484, 488–503, and 676)
Abilities and class
Nagakin is a Grade A Pugilist with a powerful physique, golden Pugilist flames, high close-combat strength, and enough endurance to survive an ambush by two Calamity Grades. A single punch can tear through a skyscraper floor, while his signature Secret Skill—Muscle Is Truth greatly enhances strength and melee damage. He can contend directly with Anur and serve as one of Godora's highest-level battlefield officers, though stronger Grade A+ opponents can overpower him. (Chapters 482–500, 589, 594–595, and 640–641)
Relationships
- Han Xiao: Nagakin initially rejects Han's help, then hires him after DarkStar's ambush. Their success on Noriosse develops into repeated cooperation, and Nagakin becomes Han's usual War Bureau host and contact for Godoran affairs. (Chapters 482–505, 521–580, 640–641, 669–676, and 709)
- Anur: Anur helps bait Nagakin into the Noriosse trap and becomes his main Calamity Grade opponent. Nagakin later contributes to the battle that ends in Anur's death. (Chapters 482–500)
- Ember: Ember joins Anur's ambush and severely threatens Nagakin's mission, although Han separates him from the main rescue battle and prevents the two DarkStar experts from concentrating on Nagakin. (Chapters 482–503)
- Herlous: Herlous fights with the mercenary force that supports Nagakin on Noriosse and later participates in the Godoran operations Nagakin coordinates with the Black Star Army. (Chapters 484–503 and 521–580)
- Aroshia: Aroshia is one of Han's officers working alongside Nagakin during the Noriosse rescue and the later Godoran campaign against DarkStar. (Chapters 482–503 and 579–580)
