Medea

Medea is a primordial daughter of Leo and Cassie, sister of Andromeda, and elder sister of Kai LuForia. Quiet in ordinary conversation, she becomes a determined combatant when Aion threatens Kai.

Biography

A reserved sister and a failed interception

Andromeda names Medea when first telling Kai about his primordial sisters, but Medea meets him directly in Divinity City. She dryly joins Andromeda's jokes, helps explain the city's rules, and tries to contain the consequences after Kai attacks two residents. At the family gathering she quietly follows Andromeda toward Kai's children and smiles at them, revealing affection beneath her restrained presentation. Her motive is less possessive than Andromeda's, but she likewise accepts Kai as family quickly. (Chapters 540, 551–558)

Medea later appears behind Aion with a spear and orders him to leave Kai alone. She pierces his heart, explodes the weapon inside him, and believes she has destroyed his essence, yet Aion regenerates, tears out her throat, and resumes the fight. Medea returns and coordinates with Andromeda, only for Aion to exchange positions and make her spear impale her sister; when Medea rushes to help, he tears out her heart. Leo rescues both women before death, leaving Medea alive but defeated and confirming that her lethal techniques cannot reliably overcome Aion. (Chapters 572–573)

Appearance and personality

Medea is described as beautiful, with a gloomy but not unkempt appearance that gives Kai the impression of a shy goth woman. She carries herself confidently and usually keeps a neutral expression; exact hair color, eye color, height, and clothing are not stated. She is taciturn, dryly playful, observant, and loyal. Her brief remarks often puncture Andromeda's exaggeration, while her unusually forceful speech during Aion's attack emphasizes how seriously she takes Kai's safety. (Chapters 551–558, 572)

Powers and abilities

As a primordial, Medea has enhanced cosmic senses, flight, regeneration, immense speed and strength, and control of universal energy. Her spear repairs itself, channels destructive power, tears space when thrown, pierces divine essence, and can ignite to explode inside a target. She also creates barriers and fires the Law of Energy through them. These abilities let her repeatedly damage Aion, but she cannot react to all of his movements or prevent him from redirecting her strongest throw. (Chapters 572–573)

Relationships

• Andromeda: Medea is Andromeda's quieter companion and battle partner. Their coordination is formidable, but Aion turns Medea's finishing strike against her sister. (Chapters 551–558, 572–573)
• Kai LuForia: Medea treats Kai warmly, helps orient him in Divinity City, and risks death because she wants to spare him from confronting Aion. (Chapters 551–558, 572)
