Tian

Tian is a Stonefur Divine Fox bonded to Karl. Born with Totem-ranked control but the body and mana reserves of a newborn, he grows from an orphan defending his mother's relics into the pack's earth-and-holy specialist, then deliberately adds bardic support and divine smithing to remain useful when direct healing is not required.

Biography

An orphan defends his mother's den

Karl finds Tian as a palm-sized white fox fighting Cara over a Holy-and-Earth stone inherited from his dead mother. Despite his size, Tian holds off the Royal-ranked Chaos Badger with rock shields and holy spears because surrendering the stone would mean losing the last protected piece of his family. Cara apologizes with another stone and proposes that he join the pack; Tian agrees only after Karl promises that he can keep his mother's body and possessions in a private den, making safety and custody—not capture—the basis of the new bond. (Chapter 991)

Tian chooses the shortened form of his mother's name for him, Tian Qimao, and uses the new space to build her a stone coffin and complete the offerings she had wanted. Thor supplies holy plants, while Karl provides a Mythril coin and Tribulation Lightning stone. The ritual lets Tian treat the pack as an extension of the family he lost. His first meeting with Lotus also establishes the tension that follows him thereafter: he wants to be recognized as a sapient divine beast, yet his tiny, extraordinarily soft body makes everyone want to hold and feed him. (Chapter 992)

Learning the limits of a newborn Totem

Tian brings mature inherited knowledge but not a mature body. He recognizes creatures associated with corrupted mana, senses targets buried deep underground, and offers [Sacred Heal] when maddened Satyrs may be suffering from illness or a curse. The spell fails to change them, showing that cleansing cannot repair every System-created or spawn-induced condition. After one large-area attempt exhausts him, Tian admits that his small body cannot hold enough mana for sustained Totem-ranked casting and begins studying mana control instead of pretending that power output alone solves the problem. (Chapters 993, 1000, 1013, and 1015)

Even with that limitation, he quickly finds a place in the formation. Tian creates earth domes, stone-furred golems, metal-like barriers, spikes, pots, worktables, and weapons, while Opal supplies illusionary bodies and scenery. Their Dwarven shield wall can absorb only limited damage, but its solid hammers and shields give allies cover against an undead horde. Tian therefore develops as a support mage whose value lies in changing terrain and equipping others, not in maintaining the maximum number of spells by himself. (Chapters 994, 999–1000, 1041, 1057, and 1075–1077)

Healing, construction, and the Darklight Host

The Darklight Host turns Tian's inherited magic into a public service. He and Lotus supervise new arrivals, while his [Earth Manipulation] produces structural cores and high-ranked metal plates for guild armor. [Sacred Heal] combines restoration with cleansing strongly enough for Karl to inscribe it into a high-ranked bracelet, but Tian's inability to learn Cara's [Nullify] confirms that magical talent does not erase affinity requirements. Holy and earth magic remain his native strengths. (Chapters 1087, 1109, 1112, and 1128)

Tian also accepts responsibility when the pack's experiments go wrong. He pours his maximum healing output into Dana during a dangerous potion-induced transformation, breaking off only after the damage stops; the process contributes to her gaining [Fox Charm]. He later identifies dragon-binding alloy that his earth control can shatter and proposes supplementing Karl's life with divine power during a dangerous descent. These choices move him beyond the protected orphan role: although he still retreats to a lap after stressful work, his magic now lets other family members survive risks they could not take alone. (Chapters 1018, 1184, 1191, and 1196)

Mythic growth and the arena project

At the higher-difficulty dungeons, Tian serves as primary healer and briefly wears a Mythic [Healing Beacon] amulet so part of every heal also restores him. The equipment reduces the need for self-targeting but does not expand his underlying mana pool, and Tian remains frustrated that a small juvenile body makes it difficult to gather enough quality energy for the Mythic bottleneck. Rather than wait passively, he asks Karl to enlarge him and focuses on advancing so he can build the planned arena at the desired standard. (Chapters 1249, 1253–1255, and 1271–1272)

After reaching Mythic Rank, Tian immediately applies the improvement to collective work. He uses stronger stone and finer control to create most of the arena's physical shell, accepts Master Geralt's architectural guidance, and leaves the impossible interior volume to Opal's domains. The consequence is both personal and institutional: advancement becomes meaningful because it produces a durable civic building, while Tian learns that skilled mortal specialists can contribute precision he does not inherit merely from superior rank. (Chapters 1272–1273)

Immortality and a chosen bardic path

Tian reaches Immortality in the Tiny World by deliberately replacing the mortal energy in his body with Immortal energy. Unlike human companions, he triggers no tribulation; the text explains this as a natural adolescent transition for a Stonefur Divine Fox, though his slow-growing body still remains physically young. He declines pressure to stay humanoid because a tiny healer can hide behind larger allies, choosing a form that supports his battlefield survival instead of treating human appearance as progress in itself. (Chapters 1471, 1510, and 1556)

He nevertheless worries that healing and earth attacks do not cover every moment of a fight, so he pursues music rather than another redundant damage spell. Tian acquires a zither, [String Instrument Prodigy], and [Vicious Mockery], then shops for [Inspiration], [Dissonant Whispers], and [Hymn of Heroism]. His first taunts are awkward and comical, but they successfully draw a demon away from Dana. The new role gives the team attack-speed and skill-damage buffs while letting Tian influence threats from the safer rear line. (Chapters 1563–1564, 1588–1589, and 1609)

New Home reconstruction and guild war

Tian initially sneaks out with Opal to explore New Home, but the clan soon depends on his actual work. He and Thor reconstruct damaged buildings by extrapolating from surviving portions, while Dana recognizes that her own earth magic lacks the instinctive finesse Karl inherits from Tian. During the clan war he remains in the healing area, plays [Inspiration] for the army, and combines music with targeted holy healing. His choice to stay behind the front rather than chase enemies turns a playful hobby into a reliable command-level support function. (Chapters 1679, 1691, and 1709)

The same breadth exposes a weakness: when he covers scattered ranged combatants with [Holy Light], he must manually select targets and concludes that he needs more healing options. Instead of hiding that limitation, he keeps acquiring complementary skills. By the later guild period his secure spaces support crafters, his music sustains war parties, and his grasp of earth structures helps protect secrets as well as rebuild public rooms. (Chapters 1724, 1732, and 1818)

Divine smithing and the Titan expeditions

Cara volunteers Tian for blacksmithing because his species' earth affinity can make raw materials without conventional mining or forging. Tian objects to soot and dirty fur but agrees if Karl can produce a suitably advanced craft. The experiment yields [Divine Runic Smithing], a Peerless-grade skill that creates holy weapons aligned to the user's faith; Tian's first Fox God blade misdirects the apparent location of its wounds. His result is not generic industry but a craft suited to divine beasts and the Immortal World's demand for personalized weapons. (Chapters 1811–1812)

In the latest Titan dungeons, Tian alternates among his mature roles rather than defaulting to one spell. He supplies buffs on request, uses [Hymn of Heroism] while constructs hold an Archmage's attention, and switches to [Dissonant Whispers] when ordinary taunts and attack-speed music do not suit Opal's deception. He also briefs a new younger sister before her first dungeon. By Chapter 1922, the once-isolated newborn is an Immortal healer, battlefield bard, builder, smith, and elder brother whose choices continually broaden what Karl's pack can do. (Chapters 1895, 1917, 1920, and 1922)

Appearance and personality

Tian's natural body is a pure-white Stonefur Divine Fox, initially smaller than Karl's palm and later commonly described as a two- to three-kilogram ball of exceptionally soft fur. His pointed ears and large tail make his expressions easy to read, while [Stone Fur] can turn the same coat rock-hard when he needs protection or wants to escape unwanted petting. Rank advancement makes him somewhat larger and fluffier, but even at Immortality he is not a full-grown fox. (Chapters 991–992, 1273, 1495, and 1510)

When he eventually tests [Beast Form], Tian appears as a young teenage boy with long white hair, fox ears, and a large white tail, visually resembling Dana's fox form. He regards this form as less cute and less practical than being a small fox, though it keeps forge dirt out of his natural coat. Tian is affectionate, proud, cleanliness-conscious, and increasingly spoiled by the family's attention. He enjoys bargaining through cuteness, music, naps, and being carried, but his complaints rarely prevent him from healing, building, or learning when the pack genuinely needs him. (Chapters 1437, 1452, 1465, 1556, and 1811)

Abilities and class

Stonefur body and earth manipulation

Tian is born with Totem-ranked Holy and Earth power inherited from the Stonefur Divine Fox lineage. [Stone Fur] hardens his coat into a defensive shell, while [Earth Manipulation] senses and reshapes earth, stone, glass, and compatible metals. He uses it for domes, spikes, bullets, tools, tables, buildings, shackles, mining, and restoration. Karl gains the same affinity through their bond, but Tian's instinctive control remains superior when reconstructing structures or reading underground terrain. (Chapters 991–994, 1013, 1057, 1184, 1320, 1332, 1709, and 1864)

His defensive application changes with the target: furry bodies can receive a layer resembling stone fur, while others receive a liquid-metal sheen. Large groups and repeated repairs consume mana, especially before his body matures, and early illusionary armies fail when Tian cannot keep refreshing so many barriers. Earth control also cannot create every rare crafting resource; the later guild still hunts materials that cannot simply be manufactured by the spell. (Chapters 1000, 1041, 1255, and 1900)

Sacred healing and holy offense

[Sacred Heal] combines healing with cleansing of mental and physical diseases and curses. Tian can focus it on a single endangered ally at maximum output or support a group, while [Holy Light] provides direct healing and [Holy Blast] supplies a Holy-element attack. [Consecrated Ground] adds an area that protects allies and harms hostile targets, letting Tian contribute even when a patient does not need immediate attention. (Chapters 993, 1018, 1042, 1109, 1191, 1254, and 1724)

These skills have distinct limits. [Sacred Heal] does not cure the spawn-driven madness tested in Chapter 993, high-output healing can empty Tian's juvenile reserves, and [Holy Light] requires manual targeting when allies are spread out. He therefore relies on positioning, external mana, area effects, other healers, and later bard buffs rather than functioning as an inexhaustible universal cure. (Chapters 993, 1000, 1018, 1263, 1688, and 1724)

Fox Charm and divine lineage

[Fox Charm] is a passive skill first produced during Tian and Karl's attempt to help Dana survive a fox-aligned advancement. It gives the user an alluring appearance across species and improves bargaining, negotiation, and the tendency of others to feel possessive. Tian knowingly leverages the effect through pleading eyes and cuteness, but it does not compel obedience, and forms without the active charm can noticeably reduce its influence. (Chapters 1018, 1079, 1437, 1452, and 1465)

Tian's species naturally reaches Immortality as it matures. His transition replaces mortal energy with Immortal energy without a tribulation, but this biological potential does not remove developmental pacing: his physical body grows slowly, his early mana capacity is low, and he still needs practice to use high-ranked skills efficiently. The corpus therefore distinguishes innate ceiling from current stamina and mastery. (Chapters 992–994, 1253–1255, 1471, 1510, and 1556)

Bard skills and battlefield control

[Vicious Mockery] provokes and harms through an insult, drawing hostile attention strongly enough that a demon abandons Dana to pursue Tian. It requires Tian to formulate and deliver the taunt, making his initial embarrassment a practical activation problem. [Dissonant Whispers] instead deals mental damage and has a ten-percent chance to inflict insanity, useful when direct earth attacks do not complement an illusion-based plan. (Chapters 1588–1589, 1609, and 1920)

[Inspiration] increases allied attack speed, scaling by forty percent per Immortal rank according to the skill description; before Immortality it provides a smaller per-rank benefit. [Hymn of Heroism] raises skill damage by fifty percent of base for allies who hear it. Both depend on audible performance and Tian's continued attention, so they are strongest from a protected position and compete with active healing for his focus. (Chapters 1609, 1614, 1691, 1732, and 1895)

[String Instrument Prodigy] supplies the technical foundation for using his zither in combat. Tian can maintain wordless motivating music, combine performance with movement, and shift between buffing and healing, but protecting the instrument and himself limits close-range use. His bardic development supplements rather than replaces his racial magic: the songs exist because the team already has abundant direct damage and needs morale, speed, and control. (Chapters 1564, 1592, 1594, and 1609)

Divine Runic Smithing and current mastery

[Divine Runic Smithing] is created by combining Blacksmithing, Runecrafting, and Tian's versatile Sacred Light. The Peerless-grade craft can make holy weapons aligned to a user's faith, adding bonuses related to that deity or pantheon. It does not reproduce Karl's unique [Ancient Runeforging], and the resulting effect depends on religious compatibility; Tian's Fox God sword is usable only by followers of the Fox God and affiliated Chaos Gods. (Chapters 1811–1812)

By the latest chapters, Tian is an Immortal Stonefur Divine Fox with four integrated specialties: earth construction and control, holy healing, bardic group support, and divine-aligned smithing. He can switch to mental attacks for Opal's traps or reinforce a Titan-dungeon party through song, but scattered healing targets, limited attention, and situational affinities still require cooperation with Leo, Remi, and the rest of the formation. (Chapters 1724, 1812, 1895, and 1920)

Relationships

  • Karl: Tian accepts Karl only after receiving a promise that his mother's remains and belongings will be protected. Karl becomes his pack leader, teacher, source of safe spaces, and the person who translates Tian's affinities into shared construction and crafting skills. (Chapters 991–992, 1272, and 1811–1812)
  • Cara: Their relationship begins with Cara trying to take his mother's stone. Her apology and invitation give Tian a new home, and their old dispute becomes affectionate sibling comedy rather than an unresolved ownership conflict. (Chapters 991 and 1811)
  • Dana: Tian helps heal Dana through her fox-aligned advancement, then becomes attached to her scent, lap, and [Fox Charm]. She carries and directs him but also insists that he contribute when he would rather nap. (Chapters 1018, 1196, 1437, 1609, and 1732)
  • Opal: His closest construction and battlefield collaborator. Tian supplies durable earth bodies and weapons while Opal supplies domains, scenery, and deceptive armies; later his mental music supports her dungeon traps. (Chapters 999–1000, 1041, 1209, 1273, 1320, and 1920)
  • Thor: The trustworthy elder brother whose plants help Tian honor his mother. Thor provides cover large enough for the fox to hide behind, carries him in battle, and later rebuilds New Home structures beside him. (Chapters 991–992, 1254, and 1709)
  • Rae: Rae explains Lotus's affection without frightening Tian and later fights while his music supports the pack. Tian regards her as both a dangerous sister and an ideal target for healing-on-hit effects. (Chapters 992, 1251, and 1691)
  • Remi: Remi gives him early advice on mana control and shares group-healing responsibility. Her totems cover persistent area healing where his targeted holy spells would be inefficient. (Chapters 993, 1688, and 1724)
  • Hawk: An older brother whose theories about advancement Tian questions using his inherited knowledge. Their roles divide naturally between aerial attack and rear-line support. (Chapters 1253 and 1895)
  • Lotus: Lotus's overwhelming love of fluff makes their first meeting intimidating, but Tian willingly enters her arms and later heals beside her during major advancements. (Chapters 992 and 1801)
  • Leo: A younger brother and fellow healer. They divide fire-domain healing and learn to cover different parts of the formation, giving Tian a partner rather than sole responsibility for every patient. (Chapters 1582, 1724, and 1917)
  • Tessa: A trusted human sister and recipient of Tian's healing after her Immortal tribulation. Her household and children expand the family whose safety motivates his work. (Chapters 1801 and 1917)
  • Ophelia: Tian uses Ophelia's fur as refuge from Lotus and later supports the Werebear's advancement goals as part of the same household. (Chapters 992, 1041, and 1822)

Items

Tian has no scoped standalone item in the generated item catalog. He temporarily wears a Mythic [Healing Beacon] amulet and later performs with a zither, but neither is included in the finalized notable-item inventory for his article.
