Lotus

Lotus is the Darklight Host's principal nature healer, a Green Dragon High Priestess whose playful curiosity masks exceptional skill in battlefield medicine, resurrection, and sustained group healing. Her later Beast Master class and bonds with Tifa and Tena turn her from a protected back-line cleric into a remarkably durable healer-tank, while her partnership with Ophelia anchors her place in the team's extended family.

Biography

A tiny priestess becomes a combat medic

Lotus joins the long deployment as a young Priestess of the God of Nature, responsible for keeping a mixed unit alive while learning how quickly battlefield injuries can outrun formal training. She repairs shattered golems, spreads healing across exhausted soldiers, enlarges plant creatures with [Giant Growth], and maintains [Refresh] when the group's defenders begin to tire. Her small stature and impulsive behavior make strangers mistake her for a child, but she responds to condescension with open defiance and repeatedly proves that the group's survival depends on her judgment. (Chapters 183, 188, 190–193, and 278)

The war also forces Lotus to confront the boundary between healing and rescue. Her area magic can stabilize a whole clearing, yet it cannot revive those who are already beyond its reach; when a slain group is brought to her, only one body still responds. Conversely, after Karl loses an arm, Rae throws Lotus directly to him and she stitches, splints, and heals the limb before the wound can close incorrectly. These experiences make her a practical combat medic rather than merely a spell caster, and Commander-rank advancement elevates the irreverent nature cleric to High Priestess despite the Church's discomfort with giving her formal authority. Dragon bond and Tree of Life broaden her care

Away from the front, Lotus becomes one of the people who turns Karl's collection of fighters into a family. She draws an unwilling Ophelia and Tessa into dancing, rests against Rae when others fear the spider, and treats the beasts' unusual bodies as invitations to explore rather than reasons for caution. Her relationship with Ophelia becomes openly affectionate: separation on watch duty frustrates Lotus because it costs her their usual cuddling time, while Ophelia accepts the role of both partner and practical restraint when Lotus' enthusiasm outruns good sense. Her Commander advancement also deepens her Green Dragon vocation. As part of becoming High Priestess, Lotus bonds mentally with a newborn Green Dragon whose demands to see new places amplify her existing distractibility; the bond explains why her curiosity becomes especially intense rather than indicating that she has simply abandoned discipline. Remi later upgrades a nature potion for her, and Lotus drinks it on trust, gaining [Tree of Life], an Epic transformation whose healing aura repairs lingering damage that ordinary spells leave behind. The new form begins her transition from mobile field cleric to a healer capable of sustaining entire formations. (Chapters 415, 578, 580, and 594)

Public victories resist ceremonial expectations

As the team returns to national trials and Church politics, Lotus refuses to let rank turn her into a ceremonial official. She naps against Thor, recounts an apparently gentle trial involving an Elven village and a human cleric, and continues to assess threats in blunt practical terms, including warning that Rae may kill an opponent accidentally. Her informality embarrasses institutions that want a dignified High Priestess, yet it makes her reliable within the group: she tells her companions what she genuinely thinks and remains focused on whether people are safe rather than whether her behavior satisfies protocol. That reliability becomes public during the defense of a city. Under the team's direction the northern line suffers no breaches, while Lotus' [Tree of Life] is credited with materially reducing casualties; reporters are left to guess which young woman is the famous nature High Priestess. She also broadens her support work beyond healing, combining a Holy Item blessing with Karl's fertility and pleasure runes to create a Green Dragon-aligned treatment. The collaboration establishes that her divine magic can empower crafted effects as well as bodies, a skill that later complements the Darklight Host's commercial work. Healing a guild and its neighbors

When the group establishes a home and workshop in Drodh, Lotus adapts naturally from expedition healer to community cleric. She spends an afternoon transformed into a Healing Tree in the Redwood Sprawl while Tessa feeds the needy, then grows a hidden picnic bench for the guards watching over them. Her instinct is not to hoard high-rank healing for guild members: she makes the Host's property a place where ordinary residents can recover and applies nature magic to small conveniences that make duty easier. The Host's later campaigns reveal the scale of that service. Lotus establishes a healing tree over a village for battlefield casualties and works with Tessa and Delilah against lingering curses and unholy contamination, while her ability to produce basic item templates supports the workshop between deployments. She remains recognizably playful—enjoying Dwarven cities because she is no longer always the shortest person and letting Remi toss her into the air so she can see a battle—but her jokes now coexist with institutional responsibilities in medicine, production, and sales. Playfulness becomes trusted dungeon discipline

The arrival of new beasts and allied peoples reinforces Lotus' role as the affectionate, occasionally overwhelming sister of the pack. Hawk wonders how to prepare Tian for meeting her, and the young fox initially interprets the promised encounter as possible trauma; the joke rests on an established truth that Lotus greets cute creatures with little respect for personal space. Within the team, however, that intensity is trusted. When Dana's dangerous advancement potion begins damaging her, the beasts' greatest fear is that Lotus will need to be awakened to resurrect her and then hold them accountable. (Chapters 992 and 1018)

Dungeon work shows why the group's trust survives the chaos of domestic life. Lotus may spend her free hours making cake with Remi, planning baths, and searching for snacks, but the moment a dungeon begins her carefree expression disappears and she studies the boss as an experienced healer. Ophelia's transformation beside her reinforces their established division of labor: Ophelia takes the immediate physical pressure while Lotus monitors the whole party and decides when sustained healing must replace play. The contrast demonstrates that her frivolity is a chosen way of living, not an inability to recognize danger. (Chapters 1059, 1101, 1144, and 1208)

Intimacy and fairness amid royal crises

While the Host works around Immortal-rank dungeons and displaced royal factions, Lotus continues to express fairness through immediate personal reactions. She protests when the boys appear to receive better treatment from a Fae spring, celebrates once the benefit is shared, and treats food experimentation—from kitchen raids with Button to mango hot wings—as part of daily group life. Interruptions to private time with Ophelia still provoke genuine annoyance, showing that the intimacy of their partnership remains a priority even as their responsibilities widen. (Chapters 1212, 1229, 1260, and 1306)

Lotus also becomes part of the younger beasts' emotional infrastructure. She remains angry over the killing of a pet frog long after the event because small lives matter to her, and Tian repeatedly seeks her out, climbing onto her and associating her with the smell of cake. Those habits foreshadow her later choice of Beast Master: she already behaves as caretaker, cook, and safe perch before the System gives the relationship a formal class structure. Mystic cooking and costly resurrection

In the expanded Tiny World, Lotus' height continues to shape how she meets new communities: people literally look over her head until she pokes them, while outsiders have difficulty accepting that someone her size is an adult. She answers those slights with mischief rather than withdrawal. Thor nevertheless warns strangers not to mistake her cheerfulness for harmlessness, because threats to her snacks or her “cuddle bear” bring out a ferocity that the gentle Green Dragon priesthood does not suppress. Her care work grows more sophisticated in the same period. Lotus becomes the team's leading Mystic Cooking inventor, producing food that restores mana, improves fur, and carries tailored magical effects; she originally designs one recipe specifically to make Ophelia fluffier. More consequentially, her resurrection magic reconstructs a dragon from a damaged soul in a hatchling body. The method preserves someone who might otherwise be lost, but later recipients resent the price of returning as children, establishing that even successful resurrection can alter identity, independence, and social position. Beast Master and Immortal

The Spirit Bear quest formalizes a role Lotus has already been living. When the party is asked to find a suitable home for an orphaned bear, Lotus immediately embraces and plays with her; Ophelia agrees that they will adopt her together, and the System rates the pairing above perfect suitability. Lotus accepts the resulting Beast Master class and bonds Tifa as her first partner. The change makes their household a family by deliberate choice rather than incidental proximity, and it gives Lotus shared skills and physical reinforcement that draw her rapidly toward Immortality. Lotus and Ophelia eventually face tribulation together and both reach Immortality. Lotus then adopts the Divine Lightning Dragon Tena as her second partner, explicitly calling the dragon her daughter rather than a pet. The new bonds change her tactical ceiling: Tifa's Spirit Bear physique and physical immunity make her exceptionally durable, while Tena grants [Chain Lightning], shares physical strength, and begins learning [Eternal Lightning]. Yet the advance is not complete safety—Lotus must still wait for her Immortal Spirit to form before freely entering dangerous wilderness. (Chapters 1825, 1827, 1831, 1835, and 1843)

Front-line healing and an Immortal family

In the latest expeditions, Lotus is treated as both tank and primary healer rather than a fragile support caster. During planning, the team explicitly pairs her with Ophelia for the front-line healing role; Lotus' own explanation shows the resource logic behind it, as long-duration Green Dragon heals cost less than emergency instant spells while [Tree of Life] consumes mana continuously to maintain its healing zone. Her concern about cost-reduction equipment reflects a mature limitation: her output is extraordinary, but extended channeling can still empty her roughly ten-thousand-point mana pool. (Chapters 1858 and 1883)

She remains the same person while filling that expanded role. Lotus makes special breakfasts for Tifa and Tena, brings both bonded daughters to meet new arrivals, and—with their help—chases the new Forest Lord Skadi for a welcoming cuddle until Karl and Ophelia intervene. At a later celebration Ophelia quietly takes Lotus' rum and drinks it herself, another small expression of their established balance between Lotus' appetite for experience and her partner's protective judgment. By Chapter 1927, Lotus is therefore an Immortal healer, mother, cook, and Beast Master without becoming any less playful. (Chapters 1846, 1872, 1912, and 1927)

Appearance and personality

Lotus is consistently described as exceptionally short and petite, short enough to be mistaken for a small child, overlooked in crowds, hidden beneath tables, or unable to see over larger fighters. Her formal High Priestess clothing consists of green robes decorated with beads, leather laces, and natural ornaments rather than the gold embroidery favored by other Dragon Churches. [Beast Form] turns her into a green dragon only about a metre long; the spell fixes that size rather than scaling it with her rank. (Chapters 188, 224, 328, 386, 1443, and 1558)

She is curious, tactile, irreverent, and openly affectionate. Lotus gravitates toward forests, animals, hatchlings, sweets, gossip, baths, and especially anything fluffy; boredom, not confusion, is often the reason she appears scatterbrained. She can be rude when patronized and frighteningly persistent when pursuing a cuddle, but the same intensity makes her generous with healing, food, and adoption. Danger brings out a markedly focused professional demeanor, while Ophelia, Tessa, and the beasts provide enough structure that her spontaneity strengthens the family instead of pulling it apart. Abilities and class

Lotus' power combines Green Dragon divine magic, battlefield medicine, an Epic healing transformation, resurrection, Mystic Cooking, and a late Beast Master class. Her healing begins as direct and area support, expands through [Tree of Life] into army-scale sustained recovery, and later gains physical defenses and shared skills from Tifa and Tena. Item bonuses and partner-derived abilities are not innate Green Dragon spells, and her latest Immortal status does not mean that her Immortal Spirit has already finished forming. Green Dragon priesthood and healing magic

Lotus begins as a Priestess of the God of Nature and becomes a Green Dragon High Priestess when she reaches Commander rank. Her advancement creates a closer divine bond, in her case a mental connection to a newborn Green Dragon whose curiosity presses her to explore. The priesthood specializes in life and nature: Lotus uses direct healing, broad-area recovery, [Refresh] for endurance, cleansing, plant growth, and divine blessings on crafted treatments. Area effects can support many allies at once, but they do not reverse a death that has already passed beyond healing, and severe trauma still requires practical intervention such as setting bones or attaching a severed limb correctly before magic seals it. (Chapters 183, 190–193, 278, 283, 308–309, 383, 415, and 740)

Her ordinary Green Dragon healing favors long-duration effects over expensive instant restoration. This makes sustained care mana-efficient and lets her multicast several effects, but it also means emergencies can exceed the pace of her ongoing spells. At Immortal rank she reports roughly ten thousand mana and can exhaust it in under an hour while maintaining multiple long heals and barriers. Mana-cost reduction applies only partially to variable-duration channels, so equipment can improve her efficiency without eliminating the central constraint that a prolonged siege can target her reserves. Tree of Life

[Tree of Life] comes from a Remi-upgraded nature potion rather than Lotus' original class progression. The Epic spell wraps her in a mobile tree form that emits a strong healing zone, sheds restorative golden dust, and produces birds that can fly into individual targets as healing energy. Its aura repairs lingering nerve and tissue damage left by ordinary magical healing, and later deployments show it reducing citywide battle casualties and treating the needy for an entire afternoon. The form can also grow practical wood structures, though the text does not establish whether every such growth is part of [Tree of Life] or her broader nature magic. The transformation trades mobility and mana for coverage. Lotus initially describes it as slow and heavy; at Immortal rank the tree itself has a channeled healing zone whose continuous cost is her largest mana expense. She later weaponizes the form by summoning [Entangling Vines] that release paralytic toxin when cut and by adding [Circle of Wrath], turning what is normally a healing platform into an attrition fighter. Her damage remains poor, but high regeneration, crowd control, and partner-derived defenses let her outlast a conventional warrior. (Chapters 580, 1831, and 1858)

Resurrection and restorative limits

Lotus can resurrect the dead when enough of the person remains recoverable, and the group repeatedly treats her presence as insurance against fatal mistakes. The magic is not unlimited: Black Dragon death energy can place victims beyond even her reach, damaged souls complicate restoration, and wholesale resurrection draws the attention of the powers associated with death. Her later technique rebuilds a body around a damaged soul as a child or hatchling, saving the person while allowing the new body to grow around what remains intact. (Chapters 519, 564–565, 1018, 1629, and 1838)

The child-body method demonstrates both extraordinary efficacy and an ethical cost. A resurrected dragon survives soul damage as a hatchling, and clan healers adopt the approach for other victims, but some recipients are angry at losing adult bodies and years of independence. The corpus therefore supports Lotus' ability to rescue otherwise unsalvageable souls, not a claim that resurrection perfectly restores prior age, power, or consent conditions. Beast Master bonds and partner-derived defenses

The System grants Lotus a Beast Master class after judging her adoption of the orphaned Spirit Bear Tifa at 105-percent suitability. The class permits one new bonded partner per rank and shares compatible skills in both directions: Tifa learns Lotus' direct heals, area heals, healing totems, and cleansing spells, while Lotus receives the bear's physical reinforcement and immunity to physical attacks. Tifa cannot use Lotus' tree transformation, demonstrating that shared access depends on compatibility rather than copying every spell wholesale. (Chapters 1728–1729 and 1770)

At Immortality Lotus accepts Tena, a Divine Lightning Dragon, as her second partner and daughter. Tena grants [Chain Lightning] to Lotus, augments her physique, and learns [Eternal Lightning], a restorative lightning barrier that should further increase Lotus' durability. Combined with Tifa's immunity and regeneration, these benefits make Lotus exceptionally difficult to injure with claws or blade-type physical skills. The defenses are partner-derived, not proof of universal invulnerability: the corpus does not show that physical immunity blocks soul, elemental, poison, or other nonphysical attacks, and her still-forming Immortal Spirit remains vulnerable enough that she is warned not to roam freely. Nature control, combat support, and divine craft

Lotus can accelerate and reshape plant life through abilities such as [Giant Growth] and [Entangling Vines]. In early battles she enlarges plant creatures, while later she uses vines to restrain opponents, deliver sedative poison, and punish attempts to cut free. [Refresh] restores endurance across a formation, and her cleansing magic works with other clerics against curses and unholy residue. These tools make her strongest in an organized group: she sustains tanks, controls movement, and keeps allies operating while higher-damage companions finish the fight. (Chapters 193, 278, 343, 910, and 1831)

Her holy blessing can also be layered onto runecrafted treatments, as when she and Karl combine Green Dragon power with virility, fertility, and pleasure runes. This is collaborative enchanting rather than evidence that Lotus independently knows Karl's runic system. Likewise, the [Bracers of Fated Encounters] she later wears provide stored mana and growth assistance through equipment; those effects should not be attributed to her priesthood or Beast Master class. Mystic Cooking

Lotus develops Mystic Cooking into her principal noncombat craft and becomes the Tiny World's most prolific recipe inventor. Her food can carry tailored magical effects: one dish improves mana regeneration and smooths fur, another relaxes mana pathways for a surge of power and growth, and her cooking can render mildly toxic alchemical produce safe to eat. She designs recipes around particular recipients, especially Ophelia, and later teaches cooking-aligned bunnies through the skill-sharing opportunities of her Beast Master class. Her latest practice focuses on adapting Immortal ingredients and learning recipes across worlds. The corpus demonstrates a wide, inventive repertoire rather than a fixed list of combat buffs, and individual dishes can have side effects such as drowsiness. Mystic Cooking complements healing and community care, but its benefits depend on preparation and consumption; it is not an instant substitute for her spells during battle.
