Biography

Testing the unexpected cadet

Tabitha confronts Gustav Oslov as an intruder, but admits that his sentence prevents him from simply attacking. Placed there by Jack, he controls the dungeon's spatial changes and administers three questions as the required passage test. Recognizing Gustav's unusual value, Tabitha deliberately asks obscure questions in hopes that failure will send him safely back rather than into the lethal final floor. (Chapters 862–865)

Recognizing Cohilia's purpose

Gustav answers correctly and Tabitha must open the route despite warning him that only the right person can survive. When Gustav returns after absorbing and sealing Cohilia, Tabitha explains that Jack's imprisonment had also been a test meant to reveal the person Cohilia sought. He then demands to know whether Gustav threatens Earth, ending their encounter wary, astonished, and still bound to his post. (Chapters 865–876)

Appearance and personality

Tabitha is a gigantic sentient mixedbreed whose head alone dwarfs Gustav at close range. He speaks in an overwhelmingly loud, proud manner and insists on being called “Lord,” yet his attempt to spare a gifted cadet shows generosity beneath the bluster. He is learned, dutiful, and suspicious of existential threats. (Chapters 862–868)

Tabitha is described as immensely stronger than Delta rank and powerful enough to pressure observers by presence, but his sentence constrains direct violence against the test taker.
