Cohilia

Cohilia is a sentient cosmic entity tied to the Outworldly's scattered power. Although sealed within Gustav Oslov, Cohilia is a speaking, acting being rather than Gustav's property or an ordinary weapon.

Biography

Search, imprisonment, and recognition

Cohilia travels between worlds searching for its master, devouring alien beings, planets, and even solar systems when frustrated. Jack eventually imprisons it beneath the MBO camp after it reaches Earth. When Gustav encounters it, Cohilia recognizes him as the Outworldly and calls him “Master”; Gustav's unexplained higher power devours and seals Cohilia inside a transparent rhombus-like mark, ending its independent rampage without destroying its identity. (Chapters 659 and 868–870)

Sealed power and gradual access

At first Gustav cannot speak to Cohilia, sense its consciousness, or deliberately use its devouring force. A survival crisis briefly activates that power against a singularity, but leaves him severely drained, proving that hosting the entity does not equal mastery. As Gustav grows toward Alpha-level strength, the seal reacts and eventually opens enough for him to call Cohilia without the earlier bodily toll. (Chapters 869, 944–963, 1094, and 1363)

Cosmic deployment

Gustav later summons Cohilia to consume Mack's spatial construct and calls forth its full presence during their battle, where a baritone voice answers him as master. Near Humbad, Cohilia expands through multicolored rhombus-shaped layers, swallows attacks, and ultimately consumes a creature several times larger than the planet. Its latest condition is therefore active but hosted: Cohilia acts through Gustav's summons while retaining sentience and its own voice. (Chapters 1406–1408 and 1537)

Appearance and personality

Cohilia commonly manifests as overlapping multicolored rhombus-shaped lights forming an enormous consuming aperture. Its deeper form is associated with a sun-like or cosmic presence, while its voice is loud, baritone, and deferential to Gustav. Its historical behavior is relentless and destructive, driven by the search for its master rather than ordinary hunger alone. (Chapters 868–870, 1408, and 1537)

Bloodlines and abilities

Cohilia's devouring power can erase beings, attacks, spatial constructs, black holes, and bodies on planetary or greater scales. It interferes even with the System's awareness. The chief limitation is the host's capacity: before Gustav becomes strong enough, access is involuntary and massively draining; later he can summon and retract Cohilia, though large deployments still require concentration and positioning. (Chapters 869, 944–963, 1363, 1406–1408, and 1537)

• Gustav Oslov: Cohilia recognizes Gustav as master, is sealed within him, and later responds to his summons.
• The System: Cohilia's power can cut off the System's perception, which helps reveal its Outworldly origin.
• Jack: Jack previously defeats and imprisons Cohilia after its destructive arrival on Earth.
