Osiark
Osiark is a female Ozis operative assigned to the recovery team that encounters Gustav Oslov after Planet Ozious's destruction. Her judgment shifts from procedural suspicion to open defense of Gustav after she witnesses his role in freeing the surviving Ozis.
Biography
A recovery mission divided by suspicion
Osiark comforts Vilax and acknowledges that only the recovery team knows the truth of its encounter with Gustav. She initially tells Gustav not to resist arrest, but Vilax's intervention prevents an immediate escalation, and Gustav easily overwhelms the team. Osiark then participates in the joint report to the Handlers, placing her between official accusations and the testimony of colleagues who saw a more complicated reality. (Chapters 1375–1379)
Surviving Seifiling's vessel
Inside Seifiling's vessel, Osiark is isolated in a seductive rock-like space designed to dull her purpose. She keeps herself alert through pain, remembers the mission, and follows Gustav's mental directions to the machine's energy roots. Working with Milox, she corrupts the expansion mechanism, but Seifiling later throws her aside and leaves her unconscious when she attempts to aid Gustav directly. (Chapters 1384–1392)
Choosing the liberated Ozis
After Gustav and Endric Oslov free the captive Ozis, Osiark credits them for the rescue and asks Gustav to release every imprisoned species rather than only her own. She then refuses to betray him and argues to the Handlers that he is innocent of the crime attributed to him. Her latest confirmed position is therefore that of a survivor whose loyalty follows witnessed action over institutional pressure. (Chapters 1396–1400)
Appearance and personality
Osiark is identified as a female member of the nonhuman Ozis team, but the retained scenes do not isolate a detailed individual physical description. She is compassionate toward Vilax, initially respectful of authority, and unusually persistent under mental pressure. Her plea for all captive species broadens her concern beyond her own people. (Chapters 1375, 1385, and 1398–1400)
Bloodlines and abilities
Like other Ozis, Osiark can interfere with, redirect, and corrupt active energy. In the vessel she applies that trait to the roots feeding a space-expansion machine, helping reverse its effect. The technique depends on reaching and understanding an existing energy flow; it does not make her immune to direct force, as Seifiling incapacitates her when she confronts him. (Chapters 1386 and 1392)
