Seifiling
Seifiling is an ancient interstellar slaver who hides billions of captives inside the artificial universe Zonpaktu and calls himself its sovereign.
Biography
Sovereign of Zonpaktu
Seifiling exploits planetary disasters to abduct entire populations, including Ozis fleeing their world's destruction. His enormous vessel contains expanded spaces, surveillance systems, T-vod servants, and gateways into Zonpaktu, where collars suppress captives' will and force them to develop his universe. When Gustav Oslov, Endric Oslov, and the Ozis recovery team board the vessel, Seifiling separates them into traps and tries to recruit Gustav rather than simply expel him. His control of the terrain turns rescue into a conflict over both the prisoners and the universe sustaining their bondage. (Chapters 1376–1390)
Defeat and liberation
Seifiling uses speed, spatial control, temporal effects, and a reflective disk that sends targets into Zonpaktu, but Gustav traps him in darkness where reflection cannot function. After a brutal defeat, Seifiling claims that his death will destroy Zonpaktu and everyone inside. Gustav answers by copying Seifiling's body and authority, deceiving the T-vods and keeping the artificial universe stable long enough to release its captives. Billions regain their freedom, and later testimony confirms that Gustav ended Seifiling's reign. The original Seifiling is therefore dead even though Gustav temporarily preserves and uses his appearance. (Chapters 1391–1400, 1430, and 1515)
Appearance and personality
Seifiling is a roughly five-foot-three figure with a cylindrical brownish-red face, four eyes, and a long, vibrantly glowing black jacket. He is calculating, theatrical, and convinced that creating Zonpaktu makes him a sovereign. He prefers enslavement and manipulation to open killing, then uses the captives' dependence on his life as leverage when physically defeated. (Chapters 1389–1396)
Bloodlines and abilities
Seifiling can alter surrounding space, separate intruders, monitor his vessel, and move with speed that initially exceeds Gustav's reactions. His Chaos Belt forms infinity-shaped restraints, while his reflective disk transports anyone whose image it captures into Zonpaktu. Creation power ties his life and form to that universe, and T-vods enforce his commands. These mechanisms have strict counters: darkness prevents reflection, separation can be defeated through mental communication and sabotage, and a perfect copied form can assume control of Zonpaktu. (Chapters 1384–1398)
Relationships
- Gustav Oslov: Seifiling tries to recruit and enslave Gustav; Gustav defeats him, copies his form, and frees his captives.
- Endric Oslov: Endric is enslaved inside Zonpaktu but preserves part of his consciousness and helps break the captives free.
- Osiark: Osiark joins the rescue party and is wounded when she tries to intervene in Seifiling's confrontation with Gustav.
Items
Seifiling controls a reflective transport disk and a vast space vessel, but the corpus does not supply a generated canonical item article for either.
