Xavier Pearce
Xavier Pearce is an A-rank Monolith officer who pursues Ren Dover after the latter's escape from captivity.
Biography
Hunter beyond the human domain
Xavier had previously fought the captive designated Subject 876, an encounter that contributed to changes in how the experiment was handled. He later directs subordinates including Luther Black, reforms Matthew into a useful protégé, and takes personal responsibility for hunting Ren beyond the human domain. The pursuit ends when Ren overcomes the A-rank officer, breaks his body in battle, and kills him; Monolith later confirms Xavier's loss. (Chapters 255–260, 265–266, 293–296, 337)
Appearance and personality
Xavier is a young, fair-skinned man with green eyes. His polished, gentlemanly exterior contrasts with a predatory, serpentine manner, and he combines institutional authority with a personal confidence that drives him to pursue Ren directly. (Chapters 255–260)
Powers and abilities
Xavier is formally identified as A rank, placing his physical performance and energy control well above ordinary Monolith personnel. He can track and pressure Ren across hostile territory, but his rank does not prevent Ren from turning their final engagement into a decisive, lethal defeat. (Chapters 293–296)
