Barca

Barca is a Half-Orc warrior of the Blackrock Clan, the mate of its chieftain Lady Avyanna, and the father figure of Flamma. Lux first encounters a version of Barca inside Orc Dominion and helps him win the clan’s leadership. The later living Barca becomes a crucial ally against the Haca Dynasty and the Abyss, though the corpus deliberately leaves the exact connection between him and the dungeon scenario unresolved.

Biography

Awakening and Leaf Village

Inside Orc Dominion, Barca is a Rank 4 Alpha Half-Orc living apart from the clan and seeking the right to challenge Orobak for leadership. The son of an Orc chief’s daughter and a Human general, he refuses to accept blood purity as the measure of an Orc and instead asks Lux’s party to win over or defeat the four Warlords supporting his rival. Lux chooses negotiation where possible and helps create the conditions for Barca’s succession duel. Barca accepts outside assistance when Orobak grows beyond the expected dungeon rank, wins dominion, and leaves the dungeon after the hidden quest is cleared. His goal is rule, but the episode frames it as a claim to belonging and acknowledged strength rather than conquest for its own sake. (Chapters 99–119, 140, 210)

Much later, Lux discovers the living Blackrock Clan and sees that its Barca, Warlords, and history mirror the supposedly exceptional dungeon quest. The Orcs watch a replay of Lux’s early adventure, recognize details of their own people, and admit they cannot explain how the dungeon produced it; Barca no longer appears there after Lux’s clear. The narrative therefore treats the early encounter as a genuine formative bond but not as proof of a simple clone or time loop. In the present, Barca is an Empyrean-Ranked Alpha warrior and Lady Avyanna remains the clan’s chieftain, placing his authority in strength and counsel rather than her political title. Abyssal invasion and broken memories

Barca leads the Blackrock counterattack against Garret’s invading Haca army, smashing defenses that were designed to contain him and forcing several High-Rankers to concentrate on his position. He then joins Lux’s rescue of Garret’s family, restrains his forces when a Saint approaches, and later shares campaign lessons with the former enemy. These choices convert an alliance of necessity into a working peace and let the Blackrock Clan redirect its exhausted forces toward survival rather than revenge. (Chapters 598–630)

When Abyssal Trolls invade Wanid, the Transcendent Flames temporarily raise Barca and Avyanna from Empyrean to Calamity Rank. Even that enhancement only lets them hold the line against a larger force; it does not make the fortress secure. Barca accepts Cethus’s request to redeploy to the breached western gate, trusts Flamma to remain behind, and moves the clan where its strength can prevent collapse. Heaven’s Gate reinforcements arrive through Emma’s portal, confirming that Barca’s old alliance with Lux has become part of the kingdom’s defensive structure. (Chapter 1115)

Appearance and personality

Barca is a powerful Half-Orc who carries a greatsword and is physically imposing enough to terrify much weaker adventurers. His mixed heritage is central to how others judge him, but he presents himself as an Orc warrior rather than apologizing for either parent. In the later period, his mere full-powered strike dents a Legendary shield used by a High-Ranker. (Chapters 99, 580, 598, 609)

Direct, proud, and battle-minded, Barca respects strength but is not mindlessly aggressive. He asks Lux to undermine Orobak’s political support before the succession duel, plans retreat and ambushes when Haca’s numbers make a static defense untenable, and waits for a designated high-value target rather than chasing lesser enemies. He is protective of Avyanna and Flamma, yet trusts them as capable warriors instead of removing them from danger. (Chapters 99–119, 600, 622, 630, 707–710, 1115)

Half-Orc combat abilities

Physical power and greatsword combat

Barca’s Alpha-Monster physiology gives him strength, endurance, and senses beyond ordinary warriors. In the dungeon he is a Rank 4 Alpha who can duel a Rank 5 Orobak only with timely outside support; in the present he is Empyrean Rank and can overpower High-Rankers, dent Legendary defenses, and lead a charge through massed formations. These feats remain rank-dependent: several elite opponents can contain him, and he cannot treat enemies above his current tier as trivial. (Chapters 99, 111–117, 580, 598–613)

Leadership, tactical restraint, and temporary empowerment

Barca commands Warlords and clan fighters through personal authority, battlefield signals, and careful target selection. Lux can call him remotely through Heaven’s Call, but that summoning is Lux’s limited skill and enters a month-long cooldown, not unrestricted teleportation by Barca. During the Wanid defense, the Transcendent Flames raise Barca one rank to Calamity, allowing him to contest Calamity Trolls. The boost is external and situational; the latest evidence does not establish a permanent advancement beyond his underlying Empyrean rank. (Chapters 600–613, 622, 683, 707–710, 1115)

Relationships

• Lady Avyanna: Avyanna is Barca’s mate and the Blackrock chieftain. They plan campaigns and defend Wanid together as complementary leaders. (Chapters 586, 600, 707, 1115)
• Flamma: Barca treats Avyanna’s son as his own. In the Abyssal defense he trusts Flamma’s decision to remain with Cethus while the parents reinforce another gate. (Chapters 707, 1115)
• Lux: Lux helps Barca’s dungeon counterpart achieve dominion and later becomes the strategist whose resources and alliances strengthen the real clan. Barca answers Lux’s summons and protects his plans in major wars. (Chapters 99–119, 575–586, 598–630, 707–710)
• Garret: Garret begins as the commander invading Barca’s homeland. After the war, their discussion of old campaigns signals an uneasy but meaningful reconciliation. (Chapters 598–630)
