Mo Xiao

Mo Xiao is Hua Li's long-serving agent, the executive who builds Gobi Entertainment around his career, and one of the most accomplished public presenters in the three Alliances. Her professional competence makes concerts, relief publicity, and the Great Adept Tournament legible to enormous audiences. Her private life is much darker. She loves Hua Li despite knowing that he does not return that love, accepts a dynastic marriage intended to produce the next Poseidon, and eventually confesses that she devised the plan that led to Hera's murder. When Hua Li prepares to sacrifice himself in the final battle, Mo Xiao kills herself rather than flee; their surviving child becomes the last obligation they leave behind. Biography

Building Hua Li's public life

Mo Xiao has worked beside Hua Li for at least twelve years by the time Lan Jue meets her. She is variously identified as his agent, Gobi Entertainment's chief executive, and one of the best agents in the Alliances. The overlapping roles explain her authority: she does not merely book appearances but controls the company, protects Hua Li's reputation, and converts his popularity into institutional growth. Hua Li regards her as a sister and closest professional companion, while also recognizing that her romantic feelings are directed toward him and cannot be answered. (Chapters 107, 123, and 388–390)

Her handling of the National Eastern University concert shows the constructive side of that machinery. Mo Xiao helps transform the performance into a benefit for the victims of Taihua, using the event and album sales to direct money toward survivors' families. She also coordinates the dreamlike visual presentation surrounding Poseidon's performance. Lan Jue attributes the flawless fairyland effect to her, but the scene does not define whether every component comes from a personal Discipline, stage technology, or their combination. What is clear is her ability to align spectacle, publicity, and relief work without disrupting Hua Li's performance. (Chapters 155 and 174–175)

Analyst and voice of public competition

Mo Xiao serves as commentator during the Star Alliance exhibition, rapidly explaining tactics that would otherwise be invisible to ordinary viewers. She identifies equipment such as cloaking power gems, follows feints in real time, and frames the Four Divine Monarchs' methods without pretending that she knows every concealed ability. The work establishes her as an analyst as well as a celebrity host: her value lies in making elite combat understandable while keeping a live broadcast moving. (Chapters 270–291)

The Great Adept Tournament expands that role. Beside the Terminator, Mo Xiao introduces combatants, asks questions that draw out Paragon-level analysis, and adjusts when fights overturn the favorites. She cannot personally resolve every high-level technique, and the Terminator sometimes supplies the cultivation context she lacks. Her authority therefore comes from preparation, observation, and presentation rather than from claiming parity with the contestants. (Chapters 437–484)

Poseidon's succession plan

Professional protectiveness often becomes control. Mo Xiao prevents Hua Li from joining the tournament unless victory can be guaranteed because a public loss would damage the reputation she has spent years building. His disappearance during that period harms Gobi Entertainment and exposes how dependent its structure is on both of them. Their later accommodation is political as much as personal: Hua Li accepts Poseidon's inheritance, Mo Xiao prepares to join the ocean lineage, and she becomes his fiancée and full representative of Poseidon Group in Eastern deliberations. The proposed marriage is not evidence that Hua Li begins returning her affection. He describes it as a duty imposed by Poseidon succession, with technological conception used to produce the next heir. By Chapter 756 their child is developing and Mo Xiao is managing the family and group interests while Hua Li takes military risks. The arrangement grants her the title and dynastic role she long wanted, but not the reciprocal romantic bond she wanted from him. (Chapters 719 and 756)

Confession, death, and the surviving child

Near the end of the final battle, Mo Xiao tells Lan Jue and Hua Li that Hua Li did not kill Hera: she did. She states that she conceived and arranged the plan because she believed removing Hera would clear a path for Hua Li's love for Lan Jue, even though it would not make Hua Li love her. Evidence previously left by Xiuxiu corroborates the conspiracy by describing Xiuxiu's collaboration with Mo Xiao, her cultivation of Hera's trust, and the murder that followed. Mo Xiao's confession assigns her explicit responsibility for the plan; emotional desperation explains her motive but does not excuse the killing. (Chapter 897)

Hua Li reveals that he had deduced the truth and deliberately alienated her. When he tells her to escape and care for their child, Mo Xiao refuses to live after his expected death and drives a blade into her own heart. She dies in his arms before Hua Li makes his own sacrifice. Chapter 902 confirms both deaths when Hua Xu retrieves their bodies. It also confirms that Mo Xiao had already sent a ship carrying the child toward Skyfire Avenue. The child survives, and Hua Xu asks Lan Jue to raise him; Mo Xiao herself does not survive into the epilogue. (Chapters 897 and 902)

Appearance and personality

Mo Xiao is a beautiful woman whose presentation changes with her function. In business she wears blue professional clothing and sunglasses, projecting the controlled image of an executive. At the Poseidon succession ceremony she appears in a long white dress embroidered with golden runes, an intentionally pure and ceremonial image. Her appearance is never incidental to her work: as an entertainment executive and presenter, she understands how clothing and staging communicate authority. (Chapters 390 and 598)

She is composed, observant, articulate, and formidable at managing people and narratives. Those qualities produce relief publicity, precise broadcasts, and long-term commercial success. They also support possessiveness and secrecy. Her one-sided love for Hua Li hardens into willingness to organize Hera's death, and her final confession shows that she understands the devastation she caused. Her suicide is another refusal to accept a future outside Hua Li's orbit, even though their child's survival gives her a reason to leave. (Chapters 123, 155, 270–291, 388–390, 719, 897–902)

Mo Xiao manages schedules, reputation, corporate direction, charitable framing, and large live events. During combat broadcasts she recognizes specialized equipment, reads tactical changes quickly, and translates them for nonexpert spectators. Her analysis has limits: concealed high-level techniques can surprise her, and she relies on the Terminator for Paragon context during the tournament. (Chapters 155, 270–291, 388–390, and 437–484)

Spectacle and illusion

The National Eastern University concert credits Mo Xiao with the flawless fairyland surrounding Hua Li's performance. The display demonstrates precise coordination and the creation of convincing large-scale imagery. The corpus does not give her Discipline a formal name or rank, nor does it separate her own power from the production systems involved, so the feat should not be treated as proof of a particular cultivation level. Relationships

• Hua Li: Mo Xiao is his agent, corporate partner, fiancée, and the mother of his heir. She loves him; he treats her as family and fulfills the succession arrangement without reciprocating that love. He discovers her role in Hera's death and distances himself before both die in Chapter 897.
• Lan Jue: Mo Xiao works with Lan Jue around Hua Li's career and later represents Poseidon interests in his coalition. Her confession reveals that her plan against Hera was partly built on her interpretation of Hua Li's love for Lan Jue. Lan Jue is eventually asked to raise her surviving child.
• Xiuxiu: Xiuxiu is Mo Xiao's collaborator in Hera's murder. Xiuxiu's stored testimony confirms that she gained Hera's trust and carried out the conspiracy Mo Xiao devised.
